Dang girl you are going after her hard it seems! First of all, her mom did WAY more than "just pay the bills" (she helped start and run her husband's business/practice, which is a huge amount of work (as is handing finances to budget to pay for education, apply for mortgages, etc and balance a family budget, but I digress). Secondly, Taylor's point isn't at all that paying bills is a huge time consuming burden! Her point is to talk about money, control and who makes the big decisions about that money. I challenge you to listen differently to what exactly she is saying sometimes.
Sorry - I didn't mean to imply that running a medical practice isn't a lot of work - I was more so talking about the household budget thing. I take care of our finances and I also work full time;; even if someone doesn't work, it doesn't really matter either way. i don't think personally that it is some huge effort, it's just one more task that needs to be done, so someone has to do it. That happens to be me lol.
I get what she was talking about. Money and control. If there is a power struggle over money, you have more than financial problems.. you're either a team or you're not, imo.
Wakeupfan, you're all right with me. 😊

I think it's normal to aspire to have money. Maybe not Epstein I have nannies and housekeepers rich, but comfortable enough to buy yourself nice things and indulge in a few luxuries. Sure, money doesn't buy happiness, but it can afford you peace of mind sometimes when you don't have to watch every dime. Making good money is definitely an aspiration of mine. It's not my only aspiration, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to make as much as possible so I didn't have to worry about finances in the future, sending my kids to college, etc.
I agree too! Living in the SF Bay Area is about as expensive as NYC, and being able to support one's self can be an incredibly daunting task. I very much see her learning from her "mistakes" and it's exciting to hear her talk about possible future endeavors and becoming a success in all of the ways that are important to her!

I am enjoying todays show so much!!! Taylor is a being a little vulnerable, opening up and not playing the stupid girl (that cackle when she doesn't get something makes me batty!), she is just having a really good talk with Stephanie. This is the the show I fell in love with, hope it's back to stay!
Me too! Loving today's show!

Any other SF Bay Area listeners out there? I started listening when we were in TX, but have been in NorCal for 4 years now!

He is the best!!! I met him 10 years ago at Fashion Week (I had a friend who who had a connection and made my dream come true!) and he was THE NICEST and MOST SINCERE cool guy ever. I asked him if I could take a picture with him and he looked at me with his beautiful eyes and said "absolutely!" My friend worked near him all week and said he was just the nicest coolest guy ever--super down to earth and as funny as he always is!
