I clearly remember Brett was the one who invited TD and Taylor did a show topic at the time about if it was a weird/ok thing to do. I recall Taylor wasn’t happy about it leading up to the trip. TD was a nanny at the time and had to travel to Jupiter, FL with the family for winter break. They gave her New Years Eve off but she didn’t have anything to do, and when she told Taylor and Brett, he invited her to come to Miami, spend New Year’s Eve with them at soho house and crash in their room for the night. I don’t know why I remember this so clearly—I think because I would be upset if my husband did that! On New Years I’d definitely want to be alone with my husband in our hotel room, but I guess they had a pretty sexless marriage. Anyway she and Kenny discussed it prior to the vacation—and I think after too. You know how she repeats topics. Btw TD still has insta photo up with TS and Wubby from that night and then laying out by the pool with Wubby the next day. I don’t think anything fishy was going on at that point.

I agree. It's not that $80-100k isn't a lot, but it definitely isn't a lot for New York and having the same job in entertainment for over 10 years. It seems surprisingly low to me.

Dr. Anolik and Dr. V used to make appearances when Kenny was on. I remember Kenny had a man crush on Dr. Anolik and he compared Dr. V to Jessica Rabbit. But I think the timing more coincided with her divorce and her feeling that she was now "poor." Prior to her divorce, Dr Anolik came on occasionally but he wasn't Taylor's dermatologist, and Taylor's dentist was her family friend back in Mass. Also soon after the divorce was when she tagged along to Kenny's show in Miami and charged some obscene amount for behind the scenes video coverage online and also when she joined Carin for the Goddess Girls Retreat. What a shame.

Ok definitely the trip. I wonder who came up with this shady trip idea and all the details? It's just not something Taylor is capable of doing on her own. Old boss from Sirius who was also her boss on Younger and her Turks trip partner? That boss' husband owns the hotel in Turks and they also have a house there. I have to believe she had a heavy hand in it. Makes me wonder...that boss was at Sirius for less than a year. Did she leave on good or bad terms? If Sirius had been wanting to fire Tay, they could have just not renewed her contract in October, but it seems they did renew her contract right before she got fired for this shady trip. So Sirius was just that pissed about the trip or there's a legal investigation and they had no choice.

Loved Kenny but he became so over the show the last year. You could tell he didn't want to be there. The rotating cohosts breathed new life into the show and kept things interesting. Only thing is it made Taylor's repetitive stories worse because she couldn't remember who she had told what and would fill them in on what had happened previous days--not something enjoyable for a listener. Emma was my fav--she was honest and didn't have a guard up. I enjoyed the others too but not Vinny.

No prob La Croix. Probably worth mentioning the guy I'm thinking of is good friends with Howard (I used to listen to him before I found wake up) and does have an affiliation with Sirius. He has been rumored to be involved with getting people fired from his own show in the past and wields a lot more power than Taylor.

I think it was prescribed to her as a sleep aid, and she'd use it on nights she couldn't sleep due to the hemorrhoids or anxiety. It is sometimes prescribed as a sleep aid but is definitely a powerful drug and should absolutely not be combined with alcohol. I get the sense her excessive alchohol consumption is a form of self-medication for anxiety. She mentioned a few weeks ago starting to go to a psychiatrist again, and I was happy for her when I heard that!

I was just about to post the same thing about the Klonopin and alcohol. I think she said she would take the Konopin only on nights when her hemroids were bothering her. But it sounded like she'd mix it with alcohol, which can cause major problems and even be a deadly combo. I got the sense she does drink a lot and it's not exaggerated much for the show. I remember her mentioning a few times her parents not liking how much she drinks when she visits them.

I listened exclusively on demand. I'm not on Facebook but definitely a fan of Taylor and really miss the show. It wasn't perfect, but it was entertaining and an escape in my stressful day. I do know how to listen to podcasts and that is what I'm listening to now instead of wake up. But anyway, I just called to cancel Sirius and the representative said he's spoken with several others over the week who have cancelled for the same reason. He told me that the show has been removed temporarily for holiday programming. That explanation doesn't make sense to me for a variety of reasons, and I told him as much. But he repeated it over and over again. He said I would be emailed if/when the show comes back on the air. Is it possible she has been suspended for some reason and there's a chance the show will come back?
