Ugh, right? I'm a retired pageant girl and no one I ever competed with was nearly as vapid at Taylor. Plus, not for anything, but don't go calling pageant girls dumb and then say "way to represent your state, D.C." (I'm praying I missed something and that was a joke).

That was definitely a joke! She said something earlier about how DC shouldn't be in the competition because it wasn't a state.

Thank goodness. I must not have been listening for that part.

Was she joking when she said, "I'm becoming more of a feminist everyday" whilst berating pageant girls and comparing them to strippers?

Welcome to the vortex triple, look forward to your posts 😀 I think she likes to judge other ppls situation, life etc but if anyone is even negative towards her it's beyond the worst thing, let alone ppl stereotyping and judging her life.

Yes she says she's a feminist more and more, but I'm not sure she really gets the meaning. She just throws the word around too often.

She's a fair weather feminist.....in the same way she's a fair weather advocate for lgbtq community.... "If you don't like gay marriage don't you get gay married."

LilEffer & Lemondrop718...THANK YOU!  I'm so tired of her old and antiquated stereotypes on Southerners.  I find myself pressing the fast forward button (on demand of course) more and more, especially when she stereotypes.  Every now and then is okay....but it's ALL THE TIME!
I'm a born and raised Atlanta Southern girl and nothing she ever says relates to me or any of the Southern people I know.
OVER IT!

She gotcha again today in her Marijuana Women talk! (They actually said they talked to the Atlanta Journal though!) I'd love to see her draw a map of the US and color code it by how much she loves the states... The map itself would be delightful (as would most people's...including mine!) but the telling piece would be the colors!!

Re: Topics you never want to hear mentioned again

Good fucking God Taylor can you please tell me again your thoughts on the Catholic Church?  I've never heard it before!  Also, what are your thoughts on millenials, Gen X and tell me again, are you Gen Y? 🙄

Re: Topics you never want to hear mentioned again

Omg, I think Kenny was seriously regretting bringing up the Catholic Church. I was so glad when she redirected. It's so boring!!

I think she mentions every single day about the discussion with her non married friend without kids about the toddler you. Who the hell cares.

Re: Topics you never want to hear mentioned again

I understand Taylor's sentiment behind "don't get gay married". I've always been a big advocate for gay rights. I've walked in my city's pride parade. I've argued many times "why do people care who other people love?". If you don't want to be in a gay marriage, fine, don't be in one. Love who you love and let other people love who they love. No one is trying to take away your rights based on who you're attracted to.. Etc.

I don't know why that's not a valid argument for Taylor to make. My gay friends make similar arguments. It seems no matter what she does, she's gets picked apart.

Re: Topics you never want to hear mentioned again

I think (correct me if I am wrong) what WeddingBitch is trying to point out, as have many of us have on many topics is that because Taylor doesn't do research on, well, anything, she has to fall back on one-liners as her arguments. Which aren't "arguments" but more like 2-year-olds who say, "I forgot" when you ask why they did something...over and over. There's nothing behind her statement to share with us why she believes that...and to long/er time listeners, you add that in with all the rest and it builds a pattern.

My biggest frustration is that so much of what was originally written on this board (and some of the intermittent posts...she probably shouldn't read a few I wrote!) could seriously HELP her in a productive way. There are ladies (and perhaps men) on here that have offered SO MANY amazing suggestions to help her step outside of her usual routine (Kenny too!!). Ideas for the show, blog posts, periscopes, etc. But instead of having her spies report that and use it (although I swear a few are making their way in!!), she continues to bash this group. 99% of these posts are things the listeners would like to see improved.
But she will talk about TSwift for the next week because that came up on her Instagram feed...and on the first day, I laughed my ass off because she and Katie didn't know who Tom Hiddleston was and when it was mentioned something about Night Manager in connection with him, they thought he worked at a hotel!!!!!

Lately, Kenny can be counted on for being solid in pop culture knowledge...but unless it's on KUWTK or the Linda Lovelace movie, Taylor is like  ???

Re: Topics you never want to hear mentioned again

Listening to this mornings show and I'm sorry but bringing the dentist on seems so irrelevant to me. We aren't listening to the doctors. I want to just skip over it! And the tooth talk game is just lame. I like the dermatologist but I feel like the dentist is really stretching it. Just seems like another person Taylor is bringing on the radio so she can get free shit and her appointments comped. The dentist seems really sweet but if she never came back on I wouldn't miss the segment.

Ugh. Yes. It was hilarious the first time she told it. But she looks for any opportunity to re-tell it. ie during interviews!

I know I already mentioned this, but I have been listening to the 2012 shows, when they were still Cosmo radio and man, they were so much better under that brand. I have to wonder if she has been struggling to find her brand since switching to stars. They referenced cosmo articles all the time and they could build their stories and guests around the brand that had a direction. What is their brand now? Think of the random guests they have, the doctors, the paid advertisements. I know her divorce has a huge impact on her "on air" personality because she used to talk about her relationships all the time and now I think she is too afraid to share because so often that would come back to bite her in the ass. Like she's jaded.

Record_Everything, do you know if those old shows on twitter go back to when Victoria was on the show?

No they don't which is a shame because those shows had awesome content. I didn't care for Victoria, she was a judgey bi-otch but the 3rd dynamic made a huge difference.

The Twitter feed shows disappear after a while. So get listening while you can! Right now they go back as far as sept 2012.

Re: Topics you never want to hear mentioned again

So this has to be the third username for me because I keep forgetting my password! But I had to chime in because I yearrrrrrrrn for those 2008-2011ish shows. I started scrolling back and listening to shows as far back as it would let me and I realized how much better the show was even when Tay had stories to share from her "past life". Even small topics would capture your attention back then. I haven't listened in a while. I've been listening to podcasts and Bethenny on demand.

Re: Topics you never want to hear mentioned again

Example: she was on the fence about reciprocating gift/drink gestures...got into a big discussion about thank you note etiquette which you would have thought would be beyond boring but she painted such a fascinating picture of the social circle she ran in that I couldn't stop listening. Bring back that show!! Even if she just shared a fraction of her day to day life in the city the way she used to, it would help.

Re: Topics you never want to hear mentioned again

Victoria did come off as elitist on the show, but I think it added an interesting dynamic. And I have to say, she always appreciated the listeners, and responded to every query or comment. Even recently, I asked her on fb if she was doing anything on radio(i think she's an excellent broadcaster) and she responded immediately and graciously.

Re: Topics you never want to hear mentioned again

I think she came off as elite because she got to Kenny and he used that to throw against her. Idk, she seems pretty normal to me on social media. Also, she was my bartender at a dive bar in Chelsea once and was so down to earth and normal.

Re: Topics you never want to hear mentioned again

She did come off that way, but she's always been really nice to me (I mean we're not personal friends or anything, just chatting on IG and whatnot, I mean). I think she is somewhat fancy, but pretty chill too, plus were all a decade older lol. I think it was part schtick for the show (ie "Judgement Twins"!) Loved when V was on! 😊

That's so cool, tublover!! 🍻🍸

Re: Topics you never want to hear mentioned again

I know I'm in the minority here, but I liked Victoria.  She kept things moving, she had interesting stories to tell and she didn't let T run roughshod over everyone, including guests.  I'm an East Coaster so maybe I'm not offended by her abrupt and sometimes bitchy delivery as much as some others seem to be.

Re: Topics you never want to hear mentioned again

I feel like Tay was "more relatable" when Victoria was on because she was an out and proud elitist.... (What was the nickname they had for her? Tay was the little cup of espresso, Kenny was girl boy....)

The show IMO needs the 3rd voice for balance.... I can't believe I'm fangirling for Katie but she's the voice they need if they want the show to continue to evolve..... Tay has the experience of a divorcee in her early 30's....Kenny offers the perspective of parent, male and married.... They need someone who is in a different stage of her life to balance the show... And who isn't afraid to counter or pushback against the "popular" opinion of whatever the subject is..... Plus I loved the stories of her fearlessness of traveling alone....
