I think this is gonna be a lot of fun!!!
I wish they were doing it on FB though, I don't use Twitter.

I think it's a great idea. Going to be fun to get to know Ed more and see Tay in a different environment (and her apartment, hello!). And since there's only been one episode, they still need some practice. TD just needs to clean up her videography a little, like make sure audio is correct and not shoot with the camera crooked! (As a videographer myself, it was driving me nuts.) And Tay did great, she just needs to not look at the camera so much, it's awkward. Just be yourself, girl!

Not trying to be nit picky but the website is not good. The website is also not complete? They have been teasing this for weeks and Taylor doesn't have a an About Me, and the Contact Us link is not up?
but, the video was cute! Taylor looks so good! I like how she said she only has 2 of everything and only 1 towel. Ed and Her are going to have a lot of fun together. I think that plant thing next to the stove is the save the date or whatever for Andi's wedding!
EDIT: Just getting to listening to Ed on the show...now i feel bad because he made the website. I mean it totally needs work, but at least he did it himself and is not paying anyone.

I haven't posted in a while...to be honest I was taking a break because I find Taylor so annoying. But alas I got sucked back in...this venture feels awkward to me. Like Taylor again trying to jump on a friend's profession to make an easy buck. I hate that she goes to Kenny's shows...takes away from HIS comedy and now she is doing the same with this.

How do you think she'll make money off of it? I get him, its his profession. Other then getting her name out there, I don't see this being a big money maker unless they actually get a show.
And really, unless they have killer dynamic togeather, no one is picking up a show that makes mac & cheese with Velveeta.

I think it's good for beneficial for both of them. Ed is in New York and has a certain following in that one area. Taylor has a national audience so Ed benefits from that. Taylor is putting herself out there in a new format and gaining exposure in a new way.
The concept, and first episode, reminds me of some of the shows on Esquire network. I like it. it was simple and really appeals to people who don't cook and want something simple. Or, people who cook and like to make interesting cocktails. I love to cook and love show where a drink recipe is included, like brunch with Bobby, The Kitchen, and the old Sandra Lee show. I hope it garners exposure for both of them. I could watch Taylor on a 30 minute show. She would fit right in on the Esquire network and their programming. I hope it leads to good things for them both. If I ever go to New York, I certainly plan to go to Ed's Lobster Bar.
(I like Taylor at Kenny's shows on the road. I took friends who have no idea who either are and they both said they really liked Taylor, and of course Kenny)

Yea wtf. She just stands around watching him cook? Velveeta? There is no other easy way to make mac and cheese without a box? Wtf. Wtf. She is not good on tv.
Not natural at all. Put your hair in a ponytail if you are going to be cooking. The drink part makes sense for her but not this part. You are right she just hangs on the coat tails of her friends. She's not a good host. Just stop. I think they are a weird pairing. Pair up with another single girl or something. It just doesn't make sense to me.

I thought the video was fine, it was a cute Youtube clip. The Velveeta killed me though!!! It would take no more time to do a roux and add cheese, and look like you're actually making something your friends would enjoy.
Saying that, I've never actually had Velveeta and it may be really yummy. I just imagine it tasting like Cheese Whiz.

website is so freaking sad.... needs so much help.

Ok, I've just read way too much about Velveeta lol
Cute article though if you have kids, that Ella Fruchter is a very funny child!

I think once they get a few more episodes under their belt, it'll be fun. How about some optimism around here? Goodness. The production was a little misleading. It looked good to start then it cut to dark, poorly lit scenes over the stove which made it feel too amateur. With a little polish in production and some more thoughtful dialogue, it'll be fun to watch, in my opinion.

I think Ed will make her be consistent with it which is good. I'm sure she doesn't care but if I were Nicole I would be thinking first radio, then she needs her for radiointhecity, now cooking similar to her vignettes, geez... I'm projecting. I have a friend that every time in life I do something she does it and then makes like she's the first person in the world to do it/think of it.

Because that is how You Tube works...same as a blog. You get enough views, you get sponsors = you make $.

Yes!!! Taylor needs to find herself and not latch onto/take from others! Nicole got her on the radio; she latched onto Kenny's comedy shows; Stephanie told her about blogs and now she phones it in on those most weeks; now she's taken Nicole's cooking segment idea. For someone who is creative, she needs to tap into what will be uniquely hers!

Taylor doesn't even cook. She just stands there and drinks. She didn't even have a set of potholders in her apartment! Why is she doing a project that involves cooking, if you want to call it that. It was pasta with velveeta in a packet?

It would be fun if Taylor was the one cooking and Ed coaches her through it. And then make the Velveeta a joke, like we had to choose something really basic for Taylor to cook with. It's currently just her watching him cook which is weird.
Yea, the drink segment makes more sense. Nicole is the one who cooks. Taylor....drinks. It would make more sense if she was cooking but then what is eds purpose? Take her English muffins and tell her how to make them into puffed pastries? Have a cocktail segment sure but this is dumb.

I am surprised that someone in the restaurant profession (Ed) would want to be tied to something so bethos.

I think they received a lot of positive feedback when they cooked together on the blog and she always liked do cocktail posts so it made sense to put them together and it could be really cute and fun however the video quality was better on the blog when she did the cocktails. Not sure if that was pre td or what...

Whew! Glad I'm not the only one that thought this was incredibly bethos!! I don't get the point of it. Adding ham to a box of shells & cheese is not "cooking" lol...(although my mom would disagree, she like invented that shit 😂😂😂) Agree with you all, another example of T riding everyone else's coattails...color me unimpressed

Did I hear him right yesterday on the show- this has been in the works for a year?

I agreed that this reminds me a lot of Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee. As a busy working mom I appreciate using some premade or prepackaged items but adding stuff to make them "fancy"..... Plus hello... Cocktails! Yup! I'm excited to see more of this!

I wonder how embarrassed Ed was by having to talk up how "fantastic" the Velveeta looks? I'm glad it is easy recipes, but he doesn't need to learn to cook easy, Taylor does!
She 'literally" did NOTHING! She didn't even serve the damn pasta into a bowl.
And the worst thing is, they can't even take anyone's advice, like having her be the one to cook, because everything has already been shot!
Not into it.

I'm definitely going to make the drink and the popcorn for this episode. Both look delish! Still another awkward episode... but i'm getting used to it. Did anyone catch how Ed ripped his arm away from Tay when she grabbed it because she was excited about watching making popcorn because they were watching a movie later? Around the 2:30 mark. Bethos.

I've never seen someone get so excited about seeing popcorn pop. She was like a little girl who was seeing it for the first time.
Ugh this is still the weirdest mashup. This is bethos. They don't fit. And she should be doing the cooking or something

Is she abandoning her blog because she has this "fabulous" new "show"? TD really needs to work on her video shooting skills. Low light and she desperately needs a tripod or a stabilizing unit. As a videographer, I can barely watch. I mostly listen.

On a side note, I thought it was nice having a FKF without Taylor's exaggerated noises and loud chewing and "OMG THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD!!!!" It was refreshing to hear Dr. Wider and Kenny eat delicious food like humans and without all of Taylor's usual over-the-top excitement.
