Is anyone doing the webinar tonight? I can't, but if it's still offered as a replay on Sunday, I may get it.
I've never really had a desire to do them yet, because I feel pretty solid in my relationship and career, but this webinar has peeked my interest.

I have not paid for any of the webinars, except for the first one which I shared with the reddit board and got slayed for doing so... I dont see the value, so i don't want to pay for an hour long bitch-sesh of taylor making excuses about why other girls dont like her or are responsible for her problems

Oh true. The whole thing would be centered on her and her friendships. You just talked me out of it! I was stupidly thinking it would truly be Carin giving great advice, but I forgot who we are talking about. Taylor will make the whole thing about her and I will be paying for hearing stories I already know by heart. For instance, her mom telling her to not have groups of friends.
Thank you, Red. I just saved $50.
Who gave you shit for sharing what the first webinar was like?? Did they do it on the air?

My advice is to keep your money, girl. I got ZERO from the first session - the one that was talked up to be something so earth shattering you couldn't miss out. Tay bragged about how much money they raked in the next day and how she went out and splurged. It was not organized and Tay did not show the slightest bit of gratitude that we all paid 50 bucks just to tune in. She didn't read any of the comments. It was just her getting drunk, somewhat emotional about the divorce and Carin shouting random responses to the chats. These sessions are simply to generate revenue from the fan base and while I do think Carin does have very good ideas and insight, I'm not making that mistake again.

I was thinking about this too, I'm also in a weird place with friends. Between school and work I don't have much time so I've lost touch with some of my girlfriends. But I just don't have the $50 to spend, let alone $50 to hear Tay speak. I was really interested at first, but just couldn't swing it. I was able to see it, thanks to red and that's what has been keeping me from doing any of the future ones, didn't seem like much interaction. Plus I'm not a huge fan of Carin. I like her and some of what she has to say but she can be a bit annoying at times. Anyway, I think it's ok to be sensitive about things, you have every right to feel however you want. Maybe be open with your friends and tell them how you feel.
Got interrupted by Tays periscope. I wish she did it more than just before webinars to get more ppl to sign up 😞

I hate that some of you gals are struggling with friendship also! I do too as an adult where do you make friends?! I'd love it if someone who has the recording shared any tips or tricks that they found useful... That or maybe I'll break down and buy the recording and share it with you all!! No promises tho!

Maybe someone who did the webinar can share any tips they've learned. As for meeting friends, thats my problem as of now. I have a pretty tight schedule and school and work take it over. I have met some nice people in class, but they are either very young(18) or very old(60s) and that makes it a little more difficult to expand the friendships outside of class(I'm 26). Plus I work a ton. As for work...I am a nanny so I spend my day with two kids, they're great but no way to meet new friends at work. So if anyone knows a good answer to red's question please share.

So did anyone on here participate in the webinar? Just wondering if it's worth purchasing...

I got it. I haven't watched it yet, but I'll report back when I do.

Sorry guys real life got in the way! My incredibly short synopsis while I'm at work is that you should save your money if you haven't bought it. It was mostly a webinar on how to deal with mean girls which luckily I don't have a problem with. I too was hoping for things like tips on making friends as an adult but that wasn't addressed.
There was some juice - Taylor hates her in laws still, she doesn't get along with her college friends, Nicole's husband causes issues butting in, and Carin is actually having mean sister in law issues with her marriage.
I'll try to elaborate on some scoop when I get back to my basement.

Lol, thanks! Yeah I don't have a problem with mean girls either. There are so many ways they could have went with the friendship topic. I probably would have bought it if it went any other way.

So wait...I've listened forever. She didn't get along with her middle school friends; she didn't get along with her high school friends; now she's not getting along with her college friends? I'm not sure I've ever known anyone who goes through friendships quite like Taylor does... Sad for her.

I keep thinking the same thing! I have managed to stay close with various groups of friends from middle/high school and we are staring down the barrel of 30. And I have friend groups from both colleges I went to, work, and am friends with my boyfriend's friend groups. I am a female, as are most of my friends (and we do genuinely want each other to succeed in all that we do!). I'm sorry to say-- though T has said the same thing (usually when bitching about her SIL's)-- if EVERYONE around you seems to have a problem/be a yatch... maybe you should take a look at yourself and your actions. It seems like right now she has some really positive energy around her right now, and hopefully she can find some more sustainable friendships

So I rewatched the recording on a flight and realized there was more scoop than I remembered! It was definitely more of a therapy session for Taylor than a coaching session. I'm sure no one's surprised to hear the whole thing bounced around for 1:45, but I'll do my best to recap.
The first story that came up was about Taylor saying she has fought over Instagram with two really good friends. For one birthday Brett got her that Rolex. She wore a gold Swatch watch she loved, but that embarrassed his family doesn't wear fake gold. Taylor posted a picture from her birthday where she happened to be wearing the watch and one of her best friends commented "I hope you love your husband as much as you love your watch." Tay's friend dismissed it saying they're not fighting over Instagram, but now they're over it.
Brett told her she couldn't have a 27th birthday party because she wasn't speaking with one of his sisters and his family doesn't exclude anyone.
She talks about that time Babette got mad at Brett for tattling on Zach WIPING HIS FACE ON A PILLOW while eating ribs. Taylor was Team Brett and fought with her mom "until 4 in the morning" about not mocking him and to respect her and her husband. This is her pointing out that she took up for him but he wouldn't take up for her.
In an effort to save the relationship she only wanted to see his family on holidays, but Brett insisted they all be best friends.
Carin has three mean girl in laws. She was on a two week trip to Israel after her miscarriage with her husbands whole family. She was already sad and the women were excluding her and ignoring her.
She talks about a group of friends throughout the webinar, and Carin asks her if these friends are friends she met during her marriage or if they were "couple friends" with her and Brett. Taylor said no, the friendships are longer like high school, and adds "I'm being vague so I don't get in trouble." So it's her college friends.
She has a couple of best friends right now that are "Epstein-ing" her.
She has a complex now because her friendships have a 5-7 year shelf life.
Her mom is her best friend so she never had problems cutting people out and burning bridges before. Babette would tell her she'd need to cut so-and-so out after she'd relay an argument to her. Her mom also told her that when her advice is repeated back to her it sounds crazy (hahaha). Carin encourages her to not cut these women out completely.
She is in a "really weird fucking place" right now with a friend because Taylor can't give her the attention she needs. "Major life things" happened and Taylor couldn't be there for her. Later in the webinar Taylor says maybe she needs to revisit this issue now because people lose their minds when major life things happen.
Tay attracted these people when she hated herself. They are "fixers"
They're talking about her and using being worried about her as an excuse. But they don't call her. This group of girls is talking bad about Taylor every chance they get - even to strangers - and it's getting back to Taylor. They never say it to her face.
Taylor feels ostracized from the group, like she's a bad friend, a bad person, and like they don't want to be her friend anymore. She just wants it to stop so they can have fun and be supportive of each other instead of her leaving feeling judged. She says she is "being judged for literal fabrications of reality." WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
They don't understand why she isn't sad about the divorce and hasn't leaned on them more like they expected.
At the end of the webinar Taylor asks Carin what do you do when you have a friend who marries a guy and throws off the whole dynamic. Like everything was fine until the guy came in the picture. I assumed she was referring to Matt, and she confirmed it by saying a friend's "boyfriend" started a fight with her recently by commenting on an Instagram post. She called him immediately, but Nicole has never addressed it with her. "Another friend's boyfriend" has texted her fighting too.
She did say that the voice of Brett's sister that hates her the most rings through her head while she talks about this because maybe it's actually a Taylor thing because this is happening again. She quickly backtracks to say none of this is really her fault, but maybe she could take some blame. Or she says maybe she is projecting her past with her in laws to her old friends.
This was literally (lol) 90% of the webinar. The advice was basically to set boundaries, you need a core group of friends, and see how you feel after spending time with people (negative?positive?drained?) to inventory who you need in your core group.
Sorry for any typos or if the layout is weird! I'm on an iPad.

I feel like her friends know about these forums and the speculations of T and T being a couple really sparked something in them. They are probably questioning their relationship as well. Especially since TS has opted to spend so much more time with TD and her clique instead of her own "best friends."
If this is the case I feel really badly that this forum has created so much drama for T and her friends

amazing recap!!! Thanks girl! I will save my money!

Great recap...thanks!!
I feel bad for her, I think being told she was a special flower for so long has seriously messed with her views.
Offline
Why would speculation on the forum about ts and td cause drama with her friends? They a shouldn't care b probably know the actual truth
Offline
Agreed that they shouldn't care, but girls can be catty and gossipy. But that was the only think I could think of, just based on topics from this forum. Very good chance it is something else entirely.

Awesome recap, Bethos! You're the best!!!
