I was supposed to go to the show tomorrow but I can't anymore. Someone please make Taylor go to the "live sex acts" on bourbon. Shed shit herself. I think it's hilarious. FYI. Not REAL sex.
Any of y'all that are going please go to cochon (early lunch or dinner) and Dominica for brunch. There's a hot dog place uptown that is delish as well. So jealous of all of you that are going. Carousel bar is a must, too!!!!

Couchon/the butcher is good and right around the corner from the venue. Last time Kenny was in town that is where we ate. THe hotdog place is called dat dogs on magazine and it's Delish! Carousel bar is the most fun, get there early so you can get a spot at the bar!

My fave is Coop's Place. Their jambalaya is phenomenal, plus I am more into the dive bar scene.
So jealous of anyone down there. I miss it and want to go back so bad!

So what happened to Taylor? I saw on IG a pictured she was tagged in from Nola but it was just a fan and Kenny and it said "Missed Taylor" then Kenny tweeted it was a great show but he missed Taylor. Can't wait to hear what happend!
Offline
Yes! I am dying to hear! From what it looks like on Twitter it seems she made it to NOLA I think? Did any of y'all go to the show?

I went to the show! it was really funny, but Taylor was not there. Her airline delayed and delayed then cancelled the flight. A huge storm had just gone through, so i would assume that is why her flight got cancelled. But Kenny facetimed her in and they chatted for a minute. I'm sure they will come back!

I went. At first, i was very upset that taylor didn't make it (already saw kenny alone before so was excited to see them both this time. Also travelled through some horrid rain to get there since they'd both be there. It was bad. Almost turned around & went home a few times) but in the end, kenny was ON POINT. it was a great night. I hope they schedule another show down here though. Would like to see them both.
I kinda wish they'd let us know via twitter or something that she was not there. On a normal night, i'd still go to see kenny, but the weather was just really bad. Mixed emotions.

Would be good if they did a deal for the people who went if they go back.
Glad you enjoyed the show though!! Have been watching the news, looks just terrible, hope you're ok!

I would be disappointed too if I had bought tickets specifically to see both of them! They should really do something special for those that did purchase tix.

The tickets were like $12-$18 and the venue's drinks were cheap and strong. I don't expect any discounted ticket for the next show. I wonder how financially they afford to go anywhere with such cheap show tickets? like 2 airline tickets and at least 1 hotel room adds up.
But the weather had cleared up by the time I had to leave to head to New Orleans, if i would of driven through the really bad rain, I would have been a little disappointed to not of met Taylor.

Oh wow, is that it? He's never been near me, I had assumed they were in the $50-$75 range.
Do they get all the money from the tickets, or the venue does and pays them?
I used to do club promotions a million years ago and certain acts would take the door, the venue mad money of the booze. I guess that's probably how it works?

I think he must get a flat fee for the performance and the club keeps the money for booze and tickets. I saw him in a dinky little place and there's no way they made any money! I kept thinking maybe they got an "arts" grant or something. Kenny mentioned the tiny crowd a few times and actually used the time to try out some new material so it was all okay. There were a few local comedians on too.

Iheard a number of comedians on Opies show say they get paid $30-$40 to do a set at New York clubs. They always sound like last minute things, not planned events.
