Why are there so many doctors on the show nonstop? We have a skin doc, a dentist, Dr Wider (who trumps all), and ER doc. I swear there are more.. but why?? I don't listen for medical advice, and the conversations around the docs aren't necessarily funny or relatable. I just don't understand why these doctors have become regulars on the show instead of people in the entertainment industry or magazines (like when cosmo editors used to come on all the time)
I basically think that the show is just rebranding itself entirely.. They are appealing to a different group of people than they were 10 years ago, and the demographic is changing. I don't blame them for evolving, but I do wonder if they will do a real rebranding for the next "chapter" of wake up with taylor.

Taylor seems to be going to them all for something. I think having them on, she's getting free or heavily discounted services.

I like listening to all the doctors except the ER one. I LOVE Dr. Anolik, he just sounds so sweet and i think his advise is easily translatable on the phone and obviously Dr. Wider is just literally the best. I'm not sure about the dentist, she nice and i like her voice, but i don't think she's need weekly, maybe monthly.
I hated the botox/sculpting guy last week, i really felt it was just an infomercial.

I am not a fan of all the doctors except Wider. There is so much medical programming to be found on Sirius already. I come to WU for entertainment and celebrity culture. I agree, I think Tay is trading air time for services. It all seems very self serving.

FK hit it - Taylor is getting discounted services from them in exchange for air time.

Yeah like she's interested in cool sculpting so let's get a dr on maybe I can get a discount.

It's so annoying! And the doctors are only getting so much out of it right? How many people live in the tristate area and are actually use THAT doctor's services?

I think Taylor and Kenny are both keeping the show relevant as they age, with the topics they chose and don't focus on anymore. Kenny took the 7 things from the old show and touches on what's happening in the news. This conversation reminds me a thought I had recently. Since they're no longer affiliated with Cosmo, it makes sense to Move in other directions. If there was still a Cosmo radio that was so brand focused I don't know if I would listen anymore. I loved the magazine for about 20 years then lost interest.
I'm all about some superficial fluff entertainment. But I still enjoy the show and how they're keeping it relevant as they age. I like the doctors. I'm kind of a nerd though, and Kenny makes me realize I'm not the only hypochondriac running loose with too many questions.

The dentist is nice but doesn't really add much value. Mostly, she just refers the callers to check with their own dentist (which is absolutely the right thing to say!). It doesn't really translate well to an entertainment morning radio talk show, at least not on a regular basis.

I loveeeee Dr. Wider if she left idk what I would do lol I also like Dr Anolik because they are entertaining and answer caller questions as much as they can. Other than that the doctors seem unnecessary to me. A dentist? She's nice but also redirects all questions. The ER Doctor? He just talks about how his clinic is different. Everytime they have a new doc I'm like ugh really!?! I would b so happy if it were just Dr Wider and Anolik. Whoever said she was getting discounts THANK YOU! I have been thinking for so long wtf is w all of these Drs?

I love both Dr. Wider and Dr. Anolik..... They are the only two I see having on, on a regular basis. Everyone else can be on rotation once a month
