Hey everyone, I’ve run into a frustrating issue. I recently discovered a fake Instagram profile pretending to be my business, using my photos and even messaging my customers. It’s stressful because it can ruin my reputation. I’ve reported it, but I feel like it’s not enough. What else can I do to prevent this from happening again?

Unfortunately, fake accounts are becoming more common and it’s a big issue for businesses in New Zealand as well. Beyond reporting the account, the best approach is to have a proper brand protection plan in place so you can act quickly every time. I came across a really helpful resource that explains how to tackle exactly this type of problem: It breaks down how to monitor your brand presence, how to react to fakes, and what long-term strategies to apply. I think you’ll find it valuable for your situation.
