Thank you ma'm! I live in Jacksonville beach- we left yesterday to stay with friends in Tallahassee. Some of my neighbors stayed behind and they're giving me updates. So far so good but the worst isn't supposed to hit for a few more hours.
I might be from the Sunshine State, but I can still be a little shady.🌴

Glad you moved further away DurstBurp! I was supposed to fly to our house in the Bahamas last night (lol...planned this trip in the beginning of Sept) but obviously that didn't happen. We've been getting updates too...and just when I started entertaining the thought of maybe still going at the beginning of next week and making sure things are holding up/held up, it looks like drunken Matthew is thinking about returning to the Bahamas too!!!😳😳😳😳

Looks like lots of roof damage...a guy is going tomorrow to get on top and then tell us the real 'damage' (to the pocketbook!). I think I will fly down Tues so I can get my own eyes on what the inside looks like...I need someone to go inside and see the 'stuff' (none of it is irreplaceable!) Thanks though!

I'm ok! Got back home last night - have power and water but have to boil until further notice. House is fine, just loads of tree branches and junk to clean up around the yard. But it's ok because I ate ALL of the snacks during the storm so I need the exercise. 😋 Thanks for thinking of us Florida folks!

Yes ma'am...on the Caribbean side (dammit Matthew) at the northern end where he chose to stop by the closest (dammit Matthew). I've decided to head down Wednesday to deal with insurance and new roof/master bedroom cleanup. Fun times! For the rest of the pleasure, it's worth the little pain...
