    Shortlist sanity check—help me choose?

    I’m browsing whisky cask buying from ECM (https://edinburghcaskmanagement.com/cask-collection/) and torn between a first-fill bourbon barrel and a refill sherry hogshead from the same distillery/vintage. Which would you prioritise for medium-term appreciation vs. bottling enjoyment? Any gotchas in the small print I should read twice?
