I wonder what T's expectations from her friends are now and what they have actually done to help or support her.

Speaking of OG,whatever happened to the OG Lil effers ---MuthaEffer, HugKiss etc? Did all of them stop listening years ago? I only saw one of the OG gang from CosmoConnection days commenting on the FB page. She was complaining about how listening to podcasts is too much trouble. I wonder what happened to the rest of the crew that went to CosmoCon etc?
MuthaEffer was on the FB page sticking up for Steph on that post, hadn't noticed any others. HugKiss is off with Carin, CCC, and M4N eating a dick lol. Sooooo annoying 😂

I don't understand the pollyanna listeners. I don't understand what show they were listening to. I also don't get why many don't know what it means to be FIRED. She's not coming back. Never. Ever. But some are still gunning for it. It just seems so strange, (to me) To ignore facts. So bizarre.
Sirius gains and loses thousands of listeners every day. If something like this happened to Howard, the drop would be substantial, the stock would drop, but Sirius wouldn't fold. Every time someone buys a car there's a chance for a new subscriber. About 18 million cars were sold last year, let's just say 10% got a car with Sirius and 10% kept it. that's 180,000 new subscribers.
Let's say 500 people canceled. Sirius probably picked up 5000 new subscribers this week. And frankly, there is a lot to listen to. Anyone that would willingly give up all that music, talk, politics, entertainment is just cutting off their nose to spite their face.
By the way, I keep checking Nicoles IG. She obviously cant say anything, but would die to hear her thoughts. I lover her IG Stories!

I called Sirius and cancelled my subscription this morning. I told them it was because they cancelled Wake Up With Taylor. I love Taylor's and Jenny McCarthy's shows, but I am just not a fan of Jenny Hutt--it is too political and Sirius is my escape from politics. Unfortunately, Jenny Hutt is on during my drive home and NOW also my drive to work. Also, I just don't care for Jenny Hutt's husband AT ALL. I will miss Taylor and her "tell it like it is/my life is an open book" approach. I will also very much miss Clay Aiken's weekly hosting!

We've been talking about it on a page that we've had for years, but many of them no longer listen. They got fed up with Taylor long ago. I think I am one of the few that still listened religiously. I can't deny that I will really miss the show, in spite of it's repetitiveness and Taylor's entitlement. What can I say? I still found it entertaining.

Bethenney did not sit by while reports of her behavior and Sirius exit circulated the Internet. She tweeted right away. Taylor is losing momentum each day wasted without an announcement.

Yep. TBH I'm just about over it myself (by it I mean finding out what happened, not missing the show- haven't listened since the Twitter link went down). Whether it's because she legally can't or just won't, I really doubt we'll ever find out the exact reason but I'm confident it had something to do with her less than fantastic work ethic and questionable behavior.

Exactly!!! Matt! We know you are reading here, or at least you should be. It's fine if Tay can't give details about what happened, but tell her to interact! People have been talking about alternatives all week and if you let this go her 2,000 loyal listeners will move on. TAYLOR get on fb live or insta stories and do your make up or hair, or talk about what restaurants you enjoy or just lay in bed and tell us what you're binge watching.. you loyal fan base is dwindling!!!!! Say something! Interact about the superficial dumb stuff we all tune into! This site might be harsh at times but we would love to see you WORK and SUCCEED!
It's sucks to lose your job.. I've been there.. you get the rest of the day to pout and cry then you get up the next day and get back to real life! Do something!

I hear you, girl. I realized yesterday that I'm over the shock, and while I still am interested to know what's going on, I'm missing her and the show less and less as the days go by. Which is just as well- the show isn't coming back and I'm not so sure what she does in the future will interest me anyway. (I feel like it will be some sort of reality TV based podcast or more hosting shows I don't watch.)

Annabelle posted on FB that while she's in NYC for two weeks, she's looking for people to have on her podcast, looking for suggestions.
She added that Taylor cannot do recordings.
Either Tay is playing ultimate diva or she's in some deep legal shit.

Taylor is going to lose her audience. I can understand not being able to talk about what happened, but it makes no sense she can't even do outside recordings. I would think noncompete, but going on someone else's podcast shouldn't violate that. Granted, I am not a lawyer.
What seems to fit for me is either she is afraid of slipping up (aka deep shit) or she is just being dramatic or a little of both. Either way, she is going to have a super hard time recovering her base from this if she doesn't start posting something. Someone said just show her doing her hair or talking about the housewives on facebook live or periscope. Facebook live would probably be way better given her platform within the facebook group.
But she won't. If she is doing a wrongful termination lawsuit she better hope she wins because I am guessing she is going to fade into oblivion with her silence.

And also it just occurred to me that podcasts aren't live. So scratch the afraid of slipping up thing, because things can be edited out. Granted, Anabelle's (and this may have changed, I haven't listened recently...too long for me, even though I do think she is very funny) is not particularly well edited. That may have changed, but I am sure she could figure out a way to edit things out.
So basically we just have Taylor being dramatic. Are there any lawyers out there that would be able to provide a legitimate legal reason Taylor would be completely silenced from doing any media? I just feel like it would seem like too much, especially because Opie spoke out the following day.

Well what I think is interesting too is that supposedly the Philly show is still on, so she thinks she'll be able to speak there somehow but not on a podcast? I don't get it. I mean I guess technically the show isn't recorded, but if she really is worried about legal stuff she shouldn't even take the risk because there's a fair chance people will be recording parts of it on their phones.

It would not surprise me if Tay doesn't show up to Philly show. If she does, can you imagine how the audience is going to go ape shit with questions.
When she did Milwaukee show during her separation she told audience what was going on and swore then to secrecy (that didn't work, btw). I just can't see her not spilling the beans when faced with a crowd. Do we have any Philly area peeps here that are going to show?!

Also, why can she only communicate through her Instagram bio? It's all so bizarre.

There is an employment lawyer on here that explained contracts and severance, etc, but can't remember who it was or what thread, maybe she has some insight?

Maybe a podcast is considering broadcasting by the FCC? Or, her nondisclosure agreement includes podcasts as well? Or....what if this is the whole reason she's been moving towards tv? She knew this was coming and her nondisclosure agreement only covers radio???

Could it be anything where she speaks (so FB live would be covered?) That's insane though, she can be daft but I can't imagine her doing something that bad. I'm sticking with her not knowing what to say yet, so these vague updated and emoji comments are what she's sticking to.

If there is a legal reason that she is not allowed to do any recording then that's the worst contract that anyone's ever signed!

I am thinking we have an Occam's Razor situation here in which the simplest reason is the most likely answer aka another example of her being overly dramatic

Taylor should communicate w/ us thru Kenny's/Wider podcast. at least just to make a statement-then she doesn't need to deal with all the legal stuff
Offline
Only because it may give them som new listeners, I don't think they should let her join full time though. It would throw off their sync, and I can't see her taking a back seat to them.

Most likely. It's her MO as well.

No way- if she is any sort of trouble she needs to stay the hell away from Open Wider. Kenny and Wider don't need any trouble brought to their laps. I really think Kenny would probably like to be left out of this whole mess- I don't blame him, I would too.

I am actually a paralegal, but have worked in employment law for a long time. My best guess, if she is not using it as a stall technique for telling the listeners what happened, is that there are “settlement negotiations” of some sort going on. While the parties are bound by a contract, as I understand is true in Tay’s case, it does not mean Sirius cannot go above and beyond the terms of what they “have” to do in order to avoid litigation. If Tay is smart, or at least has good attorneys advising her, she will hold out for the bedt deal she can. Like in a divorce, both sides give and take. At her level (as opposed to someone who has no contract or for example, has a minimum wage job) it is not like they make you sign a release for settlement money/severance as you are walking out the door. Typically, an employee is given a week or ten days to decide if they are going to sign a release in exchange for money, non-compete issues and right to sue. If Tay has good lawyers, they are probably playing hardball as is Sirius. In something like this, with her livelihood and career on the line, she will (or should) consult the best lawyers she or her parents can pay for. These kind of negotiations can be drawn out for a while so I do not see her inability to say anything on air (TV, radio, podcasts, etc.) as unusual. Until everything is signed, nothing is a given and my guess she has learned to zip it is in her own best interest. NY could be different but I doubt it - there is usually no time limit on how long it can take to reach an agreement. It could go on for a month or two, although I see that as unlikely in this situation. Hope this helps. It is my best guess.

Interesting and makes sense, but would this preclude her from making, say, a completely unrelated Instagram post that is not live and has zero to do with Sirius? That's what doesn't make sense to me. I get not sharing what happened, but making something completely separate on a different platform would seem to have minimally risk without alienating her audience for waiting too long
