Am I the only one that thinks Carin is using the show ending to try and assist her own self-promotion? I think her continued speaking about it is as much about her wanting to increase her following as it is about her supporting Taylor. I could be way of base but that’s the sense I am getting.

Oh no you are right on track I thought the same thing! She’s gone mad about it all. She’s trying so hard to capitalize on it all

I just wanted that video that Carin posted. It sounded to me like, "Yea, it sucks for Taylor, but it really is devastating to me! Follow me on social media now!" Get a grip girl, you're a happiness guru! That's not the best way to promote yourself.

Carin is a snake oil salesman. Good Luck Carin. As far as the FB page, it's sad that after 10 years only 1600 people have joined. However if each paid 5.00 a month to listen to T on a podcast that's a great part-time gig. She could do one hour a week. Not much prep and also work on her side hustle.

Rob just replied to a comment I made on instgram saying that none of them have been given a reason and it's very frustrating. Hmmmm

Annoying lady in FB group who brags about being IRL friends with Tay but has no scoop lol

Mary Payne Cossar Gilbert- on the FB page, claims she knows Taylor personally

I’ve asked to join that group...I hope I get accepted. 😹😹😹

Taylor posted this comment in the apple picking picture on Instagram. I don't know how to post pictures.

I wonder if Red knows?? Surprised she hasn't stooped by, thought for sure she would check in over this!

Yes! If this were a true friendship, I would never join a FB group to discuss. Same oddness as Carin's meltdown.

Really disappointed the show is no more, even tho I don't get to listen regularly anymore. I hope we get the scoop on what happened but I'm not holding my breath. She has said in the past (over her divorce and her relationship with TD) that she will talk as soon as she can but not much ever materialized, so I'm not expecting to get many details on this, although I hope we do!

Same, I think she'll just disappear for awhile and pop up doing something else.

Agreed...and IF she was at all at fault, she will never share the details.

For the record, I wouldn't expect an actual friend to spill anything that she knew! My guess is she met Taylor at a show or something one time and in true T fashion, "and now we're best friends"!

I'm really upset I didn't join you beautiful souls earlier. PST! Can someone send me where to find Carins video? Or has it disappeared?

I have been a daily listener of the show since 2007 and reading these boards since the beginning. Although the showed annoyed me lately, I miss it. I was searching for something to listen to this morning and everything is so boring and blah.
I am mad at Taylor and her "team" for wasting this amazing opportunity that fell into her lap and not trying harder to build this show and community into something extraordinary. She could have used the CosmoCon model and kept that alive. She could have had a yearly get together in NYC and I think tons of people would come. But it never seemed to be about the listeners, just about making money. There are so many other shows and blogs that do it better...I could never figure out why someone on her "team" didn't look to all these other examples and copy them! They got so much constructive feedback (post more on social media, reply to listener questions on FB, work on the blog...) and never took it. It's a shame.

Amen. Remember, up until her divorce, the show to her was just a hobby. AND she initially wanted to quit to be a club promoter. She is very lazy, and in my opinion, did not work hard at anything. Her life was drinking, and watching housewives, which is why her friends dropped her or talked about her bailing all the time, she made no effort for anything. She is very self involved. She had MANY opportunities to do great things, but didn't want to put in the time or effort.

Funny thing is though, imo, the show was much better back in the early days before her divorce and when Victoria and Kenny were on. Maybe because she didn't have so much to lose money wise cause B supported her. I really miss those days. But it's unrealistic to expect things to stay the same! Fun fact about me: I spent her wedding day glued to my computer waiting for some pics to be posted as promised by Victoria! Lol

The show was better because effort was being put in by her coworkers, I think. Without continuous input things fall apart, and that happened here. I think she left it up to Matt (who is what, 23?) to do her work for her and she would just show up. I think even the housewives hustle more.
I believe when Matt came along, and she discovered his father was the president of MTV; she sunk her claws in and saw dollar signs. She wanted to be famous for nothing, and it backfired. He was so young and had no experience but she thought she could ride in on coat tails.

It all completely back fired. I am so mad too. The show was one of a kind. There's nothing else with that energy in the AM and Taylor took advantage of the platform and got so lazy. She took it all for granted. There are podcasts that have only been around a year that have social media accounts with 100,000+ followers, they do meet ups and live shows and it truly is a community of fans and supporters. When people love you like that they will pay to see you and support you. It hit me in the shower that of course sirius doesn't care about subscriptions lost or upset customers. These days nearly all new and newer cars come with sirius and people get a trial period, every day they're getting new customers who have never even heard of WUWT. Before long it will be like Cocktails with P and like it never happened. I loved the show for the most part, even when it became repetitive. I miss kenny and taylor and the "good ole' days". I know Matt reads these pages from time to time but i really think he helped with her down fall. He fed into her ego and told her "yes" too much. An experienced manager would've known the trip was a bad idea, he would've helped her stay active on social media, etc...Matt wanted to be her friend...becoming a manager was just so he could be paid for being her friend.

I think on Jenny M's show they've talked in the past about how, back in "the day" (i.e. even only 5-10 years ago) when kids/youths were asked "what do you want to be when you grow up?" they would respond with professions like doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc. Now the #1 job these kids are aspiring to is "YouTube star" I think this is exactly what Taylor wants to become. Or maybe not a "YouTube star" per se, but famous for absolutely nothing, a la the Kardashians.
The sad thing is, I think if she'd tried more, she absolutely could have reached some higher level of fame. She had a tremendously popular platform with a wide-reaching audience, especially when they were affiliated with Cosmo Magazine, and she used to be GOOD, and RELATABLE. And if she didn't want to do the work, she evidently had coworkers who made her look good, but was so against having to share the spotlight with anyone, or have anybody push back and challenge her and she found a way to get rid of them (Victoria, Steph) But just like everything else in her life, she expected it to be given to her...

Totally agree! She self-sabotaged because she couldn't handle anyone that pushed back on her to try to make her better. I stopped listening shortly after Katie came in but it didn't feel like Katie did that (though from some recent comments it seems that may have changed). Kenny stopped.
To me, one of the major downfalls when the show stopped being fresh was when they started repeating the 7 things every hour. That was a small thing that they did that decreased the topics they discussed by a lot, leading to all of the repetition (combined with Taylor's anger towards her SILs and fame/money obsession).
Anyway, I digress. I think Taylor has a unique voice and is fun to listen to when she has the right people surrounding her and challenging her, but all she wants to do is surround herself with yes people (and that doesn't match with how her talent is cultivated).

Totally agree with the Matt stuff too. She talked so much more about getting famous once he was in her life. I think the Cosmo days and when she had Kenny and Victoria were the best shows. Cosmo forced to her talk about different topics. As much as she complained about it, I liked hearing about what was in the magazine and callers experiences. And the Cosmo brand name brought is some really big name stars for interviews, which was awesome. I also think Steph helped bring in the big name stars because they talked about how she was good friends with someone in the talent department. Once Taylor lost the Cosmo brand and Steph, she didn't have many A list stars, just C and D listers for interviews.
She hit gold when Kenny became her producer and then her co-host. He is whip smart and so funny. My husband and I would listen to the whole show and cry from laughter. Plus they had great chemistry. And he taught her how to do radio, lol. Kenny deserves a lot of credit for taking the show to a new level. That's when they really should have been pushing to build the brand, but she didn't care. Plus she was dating and getting married and, like someone said above, the show was her hobby. Ugh, thinking of this makes me so mad.

I agree Taylor surrounded herself with to many yes people. I enjoyed the show, but she was definitely a spoiled, entitled, social climber (and I think Babette encouraged her to be one).
I know not everyone likes Jenny Hutt, but it's interesting to hear the contrast between how she talks about money and Taylor did. Taylor LOVED to let everyone know she was a rich person, while Jenny actually IS a rich person (or was raised super wealthy anyway). She'll give hints into her lifestyle sometimes, like saying Run DMC played her Sweet 16, but she doesn't talk about how super rich her dad is. Also, her son is at Yale! She mentions it, but it's not like Taylor's brother at Harvard. Same with Jenny McCarthy. She is way more humble than Taylor ever was, and clearly a much harder worker.
