Hi everyone! Recently I started thinking about ordering a portrait based on a photo of my family. I’ve seen many examples of custom portraits online and some of them look amazing, but others seem a bit too stylized and don’t really resemble the original people in the photo. Because of that, I’m still not sure whether it’s worth ordering one. For those who have tried services that create portraits from photos, how accurate are they usually? Do artists manage to keep the important details like facial expressions and proportions? I’m mainly interested in something that feels personal and authentic, not just decorative. If anyone has experience with this, I’d really appreciate hearing your opinion before I make a decision.

Hi! I had a similar concern before ordering my first portrait. I also wanted something that actually resembles the person in the photo rather than just a generic illustration. While searching for options I found where artists create custom portraits based on uploaded photos. From my experience, the result depends a lot on the quality of the original image you send and the style you choose. In my case, the artist kept the facial features very recognizable and even captured the small details that make the portrait feel more realistic. The whole process felt quite personal because the artwork was clearly made with attention to the reference photo. If you’re looking for custom made portraits that still keep the personality of the original photo, it’s definitely worth exploring services like that.

=11ptThanks! That’s exactly what I was worried about. Good to know it can actually look accurate.
