I didn't hear the entire show but I did notice Lori seemed kind of annoyed when Taylor would cut her off and hijack her story. She would say something like, "well back to what I was saying...." I also really liked how Lori handled the toxic friendship conversation. (I agree, btw, that it is better suited for a psych doctor)  You could tell that she genuinely cares about people and her relationships. It was so sad when she said she regrets cutting her one friend out every day!  Taylor came off as a brat, like always, who can't be there for her friends.

You have a good point. Even Lori called her out for totally zoning out during the 1st part of Dr Wider’s segment. She didn’t start paying attention till it was something SHE wants to talk about. I get it’s her show but she a grand total of 4 topics she ever wants to talk about. Maybe Wider doesn’t want to waste her time calling in if it’s not going to be a dialogue and she’s just talking to empty air

I love Wider and Kenny’s podcast, I don’t listen to her on Taylor’s though. People always ask questions on FB and she makes a big deal about discussing it on the next show, then never does. I’m not even sure what her segment is anymore, Taylor repeats what she’s already talked about the previous hour, they discuss that, she brings up something medical, Taylor relates it to her ex in in laws, rinse repeat, Wider has to go.

She is the worst friend ever... we all know that she will cut you out if you are not on a reality show, Selena Gomez’s mom (who she is still calling by the wrong name), or a model/person who will invite you to a fabulous desert wedding/someone in a social class way above her. She has already said she has zero friends left her same age (maybe Nicole? She didn’t include her in the statement, however) and all are either way younger (GWNJ) or way older (Kelly Cutrone).

I’m not sure how LB tolerates her...it’s getting harder each day. This VPR thing has made this week especially insufferable.

I believe Lori is about to turn 37 or 38. So really not much of an age difference for the tangible differences between the two. 

I’m starting to like Lori. She has eased up on the Babette love fest some. One day she even said something like oh you know I LOVE your mom but she did you a disservice by teaching you that. Can’t remember what it was but take a pick. Marry rich, crash diets, just jealous, she’s a special angel girl. The list is long.
And she seems humble to have her career and normal with how she approaches friendships and even weddings and family. Lately, she has seemed to really try to reign Taylor back in.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Lori doesn’t last forever.

Agree with all. I noticed about a month ago she started to "turn" (although I was never really a LB fan until recently, so maybe it's been a little longer). All in one show she called TS a brat AND during cohost catchup was like, "Since I know what's been going on with you lately, here's what I've been up to..." Then I started giving her a chance and I'm liking how she's standing her ground.

Also, I thought she said she was turning 40 this year? Either way, it's amazing how incredibly differently they present themselves.

I would guess that LB moves along in the near future soon too. Taylor can’t be “good” for her brand and what value is Taylor bringing to her? Zero. She no longer has a national audience...it’s a closed subscriber group. Now it’s LB bringing TS the value, only (in my opinion) being associated with TS will end up bringing that value down.

 

I could see Lori start taking other offers on Wednesday’s and not going so out of her way to co host.  When Taylor was talking guest taking days bc some co host can’t it for whatever reason, I immediately thought of Lori. I relistened to Wednesday, and Lori just seemed so tired of explaining the most basic of news. Like Amazon prime wardrobe.

She’s really not qualified to do anything. I saw a post about this on FB last week that sparked my interest. She went to med school but hasn’t be exposed to a patient since. She went straight into media. It would be like having a physician day 1 out of medical school, actually even worse because she’s so far removed from school.

No one is going to WIDER for a checkup  She's a media doctor, just like all those doctors that report on TV. SHE never pretended to be anything else. I wouldn't go to her for a Pap smear, but she's really smart and I have IM'd her on FB for her opinion, she's been very very helpful and right on the $$.

Wider is pretty much straight up. I take no issue with her.

I couldn't believe that Taylor kept saying she was Switzerland. Even if she felt the same as Claudia, she should have lied through her teeth to defend Lori, her employee and someone is CHOSE to expose to her audience. I don't know if there is any way out of this very awkward pickle other than to remove Lori from the lineup. Which I don't particularly want, I enjoy Lori (for the most part - I think she gets a little high on her horse sometimes but then again, who doesn't.), but it's going to be so awkward otherwise. 

All good points. Taylor keeps focusing on whatever the beef between Lori and Claudia is and how she wants to stay out of it. As far as I'm concerned, that's not the real issue here- I think the problems is that Taylor has now had to more or less "apologize" publically for issues that come from her association with Claudia. And aside from that, why would she want to be friends with someone who would put her on the spot like that? I think Claudia is a garbage human and Taylor's continued friendship with her is very telling IMO.
