Amen... and would appreciate not being called a troll if I give an opinion that's not glitter-filled. I used to love Taylor but lately she's a mess of contradictions. If I'm honest, I'm not sure WHY I'm listening to the show. Maybe to know what everyone is talking about on here? Definitely to hear Kenny now that he's back! I go back and forth with T...there are moments I feel bad for her, moments I feel sad for her, moments I think she is a HOT MESS...but I find more and more she's a spoiled, entitled brat that is not willing to work for what she wants. She has/had SO MUCH potential but after listening to her for almost 10 years, you start to see a theme. It's hard to feel sorry for someone when she continues to tell story after story about how everyone was so mean to her in middle & high school (she did that again on Thurs show when debating with K about why she'd never go to her HS reunion) and then she does what I would call 'bragging' about how she only wants to be friends with people on HER terms.
Anyway, that's just a little (or a lot) more than anyone wants to know about my thinking...and why I continue to listen. If you don't want to read what I have to say, take note of my screen name and skip over it. Thanks!
That was SO on point!!! That's exactly where I'm at 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

In the first hour of the show today, Taylor told a story about a best friend who took a bike ride and asked to get picked up because she was tired. I feel like the first time I heard it, it was about her ex mother in law. No?
You are right. It's about her MIL.

Yes the MIL! I wonder if she remebers telling it before...

Sam: "Again, I think a lot of your information is coming from very bad movies." This said after Tay was filling Sam full of misinforamtion, and when she couldn't come up with the term Climate Change. Woof.

Am I the only one amazed at how many people "hate listen." Some of you critique every single thing that is said...why are you still listening?

I tried that argument once, too, Clutchie. But soon you'll get into the groove and realize it's all fun and that we love Tay. Just letting out steam here.

Did anyone else catch that Tay kept saying Kim Davis is in contempt of court, like it was a physical place? As in, she was in contempt of court instead of in jail. But really she was in jail because she was in contempt of court. She even said once, "You're right. She's in contempt of court, not jail. There is a difference."

What i thought she was getting at was she was in a holding cell in the police station, not like Gen. Pop in Prison?

Who cares. She has listeners either way, whether they love her or not it's good for her ratings. So you should be happy about that. And no one has to read these boards. There is good feedback and taylor ass kissing on here so it's a little bit of everything.

I was chuckling about that too! Like, no...she is in jail. Well, I guess not anymore, so I suppose we'll hear about that tomorrow!

Elle Woods would not be impressed.

This is nothing against Kenny at all, but IMO the show has been so much better this week with Sam. It's only because he calls T out on her nonsense and holds her accountable for trying to get by with no effort.
He made a comment today about her wanting to repeat a topic they talked about the last time he was there.
Again, I'm not bashing Kenny, because I think he's the best thing about the show. Sam just forces her to do her job.

Dr.Wider just called her out on her porn rants and that shes just saying stuff for effect.

I enjoyed today's show. I laughed quite a bit-- FINALLY. I like that Sam makes fun of Taylor about not informing herself on things she spends her money on.
Yes, she "played the hits", as Taylor likes to say, about not watching porn, the Catholic Church and not liking blowies, but it didn't bother me as much with Sam teasing her.
I am worried though, because T had admitted that she's an out of sight, out of mind friend, so I hope T and K don't lose their bond.

Yes me too. I also noticed that she seems to be running topics by Sam that she once talked about with Kenny as if she wants his opinion- a second opinion. I know Kenny doesn't like to fight and that has worked all this time. I'm not sure why now the formula seems to be missing just that- the energy from active dialogue. I love the back and forth. Last week Kenny really brought the energy- more than in the last couple months- but I noticed a couple times he'd say "I disagree" then say "I'm right there with you. I agree." It's a bit unnerving to me as a listener. Taylor also seems to be okay with Sam disagreeing- she gives him the space to give his opinion. With Kenny, a lot of times she would sort of bully him into submission. One example is the time they were talking about the best shows ever and he disagreed with her and she did all but call him a loser. Finally he agreed that her fav was his fav also. No beuno IMO.

I was thrilled today when Sam was calling her out on her lifestyle, spending etc.... Saying what everyone was thinking. She needs someone like that in her life. Refreshing to say the least. I wish Kenny would start saying what hes thinking, we all know hes thinking the same things...

I definitely agree. I wish Kenny would give his opinion more, and stand his ground. I do, however, think maybe he is just over it. In the beginning of the show he would give his opinion and I recall T bringing up how he has made her cry. Maybe he just knows that some things aren't worth the argument. It would make for better radio, though.
T definitely prepares more for the days she will be working with Sam. It's like Sam is a coworker that she wants to impress, and K is a friend that she has stopped trying for. Like the significant other that has given up on them self, out of comfort, as is T with K.

I agree. Disagreeing with T isn't worth it to Kenny, because he has to deal with her permanently. She'll never let it go.

I get why Kenny doesn't want to argue with Tay, but when she retells old stories over and over again and he pretends he's never heard them, it kills me! We know we've heard most of her stories at least 3 times, so for Kenny to act like it's the first time he's heard something drives me nuts!!
I'm a long time listener (about 7 years) and Taylor is, well, Taylor. She entertains me and drives me crazy at the same time but that I'm used to. It's the repetitiveness of the show lately that is wearing on me. I do think they need a 3rd co-host. as much as Victoria drove me nuts, at least it was interesting, funny banter between the three of them!
Agreed, I have listened since the beginning and I love taylor and the show but it's so repetitive. I can listen to other shows and they don't seem as repetitive as this show. It's like now, she refuses to talk about her friends and her life so there is NOTHING she can talk about except old stories. She could talk about current events but even then she wastes 45 minutes talking about butt holes and sopranos and taylor swift. OLD.
They need a 3rd cohost or they need someone other then kenny to cohost with her.

Believe me, I am just as tired of hearing the saaammmeee olllddddd storiesssss day after day, but in defense of Taylor, perhaps you have a point that we're not considering here. She disclosed a lot of personal information over the years, and it seems to have really angered a lot of people in her personal life, in-laws and (now ex-)husband. Maybe at this point she's just gun shy. Maybe she's just trying to figure out how to go about doing the show without giving as many personal details.
But seriously, new material would be much appreciated!

I don't think there's a podcast. There's a Twitter link... It's @wakeupshows

He stopped arguing or disagreeing with her on anything personal or that she feels strongly about after the 'do you care what other people think about you' conversation and Victoria and Taylor made him say if he thinks they care what other people think of them and he said Victoria didn't but Taylor did. Well they both pounced on him and Taylor threw a tantrum which is ironic because she clearly did care what Kenny thought of her in that she was offended he thought she cared what others thought (does that make sense??). This was their one fight where she cried and they never aired it again or went into the details. Ever since then if he had a differing opinion and she seemed to feel strongly he just conceded.

Wouldn't it be shitty if her friends made her feel this way??? I mean.... If they are good friends and support her it would be kinda fun to have my friend discuss our activities. Especially because this is what she does. This is her bread and butter. I could not imagine telling t she wasn't allowed to talk about xyz. Again, if they are not that close and maybe sketchy around her I guess it makes sense But close friends? No, talk away!

Not bashing people in your life on air, as she did with the e girls, and drawing from your recent personal experiences are two different things.

She still bashes them all the time. She is incredibly bitter and angry, which shows she needs more maturing. She still blames them for ruining her marriage. B chose his family over T, because he was not willing to give up that relationship. But there are plenty of spouses that do. Look at Dr. Wieder as an example. It only takes 2 people to make a marriage work. No matter what outside influences are there. Let your past make you better, not bitter.
