I honestly think Tay gets her Trump news/views from T2. She seems to just agree with the politics of her significant other or parents. She leaned a little right when her and Brett were together except for the gay rights and womens rights. And I think, right now, the candidates are so polarizing, you have to pick the issues you really care about and go with the platform you believe in. I've always voted Democrat but if Kasich would have gotten the nomination, I may have voted republican for the first time in my life.

And can I just say...my husbands name is Brett and it is so weird to hear her talk about Brett when I listen to old shows. I have to remember it's not MY Brett... I listened to an old best of when she told the poo speckle story for the first time and I had to remind myself that my Brett is the polar opposite.

About today's show....I almost turned it off at first because the co-host's voice was driving me batshit crazy. I know, not her fault, but.. ANYWAY...I hung in there for a bit and I'll have to say I'm glad I did. It was funny AF after awhile, especially when the Debutante Farmer was tossed into the mix. First, I wish SHE would co-host! That lady was hilarious!!! Between her Mississippi accent and her funny phrases/sayings, I was pissing my pants! Then add in the other co-host, plus Taylor's lack of general knowledge (which they were both playing off of quite well!)...let's just say I was entertained and enjoying the heck out of it!
I also really liked (aside from the voice) how today's co-host (Mishelle?) really called out Taylor in a funny way. Like when T told her she thought there were 300 million people in the world, Mishelle said, "Taylor...you need to read a book!" Or when she didn't know who Swoozie Kurtz was (which, I'll admit, who usually does?) and Mishelle said, "Taylor! I'm going to have to stab you in the head!" But it was about the 10th or more time that T had done or said something dumb or annoying (or that Mishelle had said, "Please don't say that!") and she kept doing it. All I know is that it was pretty funny!

I fully agree with this!

I wonder if the reason that they have not picked a co-host is that when one seems like a good fit and they start negotiating, they realize how little they would actually make. I remember thinking a few of them were definitely auditioning as opposed to just standing in and it seems like those people never came back after 3-4 times in the studio.

Does anyone know how much you can make doing a podcast? Do people support themselves just doing a podcast or do you also have to do something else on the side?

Gosh, i thought that the host today was a bit nasty to Taylor. I only heard part of the first and second hour but she seemed annoyed that Taylor mispronounced her name. I wonder who is choosing the cohosts? it seems like there will never be a permanant one.

I'm missing Rob Schooter. He wasn't on this week

I haven't listened, but I would be annoyed if she couldn't pronounce my name too. I mean, literally the absolute least she could do is figure out how to say her cohost's name. That shouldn't be too much to ask for a supposed professional radio host.

I only listen to podcasts but i listen to a lot of them. Especially since WUWT has changed so much. From what I can tell anyone can do a podcast and if it gets enough attention/listeners then an audio/podcast listening company (an app separate from iTunes) may pick up a show. Some of these companies offer premium content to listeners and podcasters can make money through that. A lot of the popular ones also do commercials and get sponsors. Some even start selling merchandise and doing live shows. I think its hard to get to that point though and it really takes word of mouth and reviews, etc...Sounds like a lot of it is self funded in the beginning.

READING MY MIND AGAIN..... I was just going to say this exact thing. I know Monday was a repeat but I love it when he's on (or as Taylor has now stolen from Megan Colarosso (sp?)..."I love me some RS"). That's now one for the "Things I Don't Want to Hear Ever Again"!!!!! She's right when she says she can't listen to other shows because she repeats what they say. She's doing it more and more! LOL

I haven't listening to this DR drew interview. But does anyone remember how creepy he was during the high five your a celebrity at the VMAs
Offline
Dr Drew was offended that Tay said that the celebrities didn't get real treatment while on his show.

I haven't gotten to Dr. Drew yet but that creeper segment had me cracking up!

I'm not hearing any awkwardness with Dr. Drew. And she immediately back tracked that "real treatment" statement and he seemed to understand what she was getting at.

I was thinking this morning...(look out!)...we haven't heard from Bonnie Fuller or Joey Skladany in light years. Are they dunzo? I know Joey had shifted from his fun celeb gossip to wine and food (which I wasn't as fond of) and to be honest, I DO prefer Naughty Gossip/Rob over both, but I just realized both were gone. Is Robert Verdi coming back? Just curious....lots going on....

Wow, sleeping with candles burning??? She is possibly the most selfish person on the planet. Would love to know how she'd feel if someone got hurt when she burns her effing building down. What a dumbass.

I listened to most of drew interview and like chel, I didn't notice anything weird unless it happened while I stepped out of the room. overall, I think tay's interviews are improved, can we all agree on that?

Haha I think we are all trying to practice "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all."

When they were talking about Halloween costumes and the college kid who dressed as Bill Cosby and the co-host said something like he got expelled at least. Wtf?? So ruining someone's life because of a Halloween costume. That's so fucked up.
Someone who commits a racist act, which blackface is, deserves the consequences. There is no defense of that.

How is dressing up as someone of another race, racist? Isn't racism the belief that other races are inferior or the act of discriminating against someone due to their race? I feel like these accusations of racism are getting a little out of hand. It may be considered in poor taste, but I really don't think it should be institutionally banned.
Black face is and always has been associated with racism. Please don't be so daft. There are plenty of ways to dress up in costume as someone of another race without using something that has a storied history of racism.
The fact that this needs to be explained in 2016 is baffling. The fact that a modern woman in 2016 you need this explained to you is also baffling.
