I see what you're saying, but this board is basically unknown unless you're looking for it, it's a far cry from doing it on a satellite radio show in my opinion. We're talking amongst ourselves, not to a national audience. No one went on FB or called into the show to ask her, we waited for her to make that announcement because we're really not assholes, I promise!

Geez 420, stop reading my mind already. 😋

I'm just not a fan of the Friday co-host. What do you guys think?

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

People certainly did complain about "outing" T before it was time.  I still stand by that despite the fact that Taylor used it as a publicity stunt herself.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I like Emma. She has a dry humour. She's not as high energy, but she has some interesting stories. It's kind of a genius idea to have this rotation of co-hosts. Each one offers something different, so it keeps things interesting. My spidey senses are telling me that Clay will be the new permanent Tues co-host. We can hope, anyway.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Yeah there's something about Emma that rubs me the wrong way but I'm not sure what it is. I love the others although lately I'm annoyed with Rob a lot but he's still entertaining to me. Clay and Lori (Laurie?) are my favorites.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

*Warning* not to get political up in here but I was just thinking how Taylor used to say "if your against gay marriage don't get gay married" and I know that used to upset/annoy people but hear me out. I was talking to a friend and her taxes went up as they do, and she reading the list and she said "$2000 for school! I don't have kids that go to school. I don't even have kids!" Which got me thinking with this whole republicans don't want to fund planned parenthood because they offer abortions even though tax dollars don't actually fund those (supposedly I'm not an expert). It made me think ok well Taylor logic would be to say "don't have an abortion" but then back to what my friend said she doesn't have kids why are her tax dollars funding public school?? It just seems nowadays people are suggesting we have more freedom towards what our tax dollars get spent on which I don't disagree with but at what point does the bleeding stop? It's a battle for everything! We can't agree on public or private school dollars, health care, and  many more! Should each citizen just get a check list of what rights they would like each year? Clean water, check! Protection for endangered species, check! Maternity care, nope! Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Public schools have always been funded by everyone's tax dollars that's how it works. If your friend looks at her prior returns she will see she was always paying for it and that's not why her taxes went up. Even if you have kids and you pay for private school you are still taxed for public school.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

since someone else brought up politics, i need to ask a question.

Why was there such a push, then crash and burn to repeal ACA last week? like why did in HAVE to happen last week, and since it didn't it's over (which I'm sure it's not really). Why couldn't they just go back to the drawing board and see what everyones demands were and see if they could make it work? Do bills have a finite time they can be discussed about, or they are shelved?

Taxes pay for programs that are in the best interest of the country as a whole. It's in everyone's best interest that we have a well educated population and they that the next generation is well educated as well.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Pio- My opinion is that the republicans spent the last 7 years (and Trump spent his entire campaign) trying to convince the population that the ACA was horrible and that if we only have them a chance to repeal and replace it, that everyone would be better off. Unfortunately the replacement they presented to their voters would actually give them less coverage at a *much* higher out of pocket cost, once again giving tax breaks to those who are already doing well on the backs of the most vulnerable (veterans, the poor and the elderly). The constituents, including Trump voters, have been making their voices heard since they released their plan, and congressional republicans now realize that if they vote yes on this bill, then they have to actually own it, and be accountable for that vote that would hurt so many of their voters. Their jobs are on the line in 2018 and they are scared shitless that they'll lose their seat if they go through with this madness. Trump is too much of an egomaniac to "lose" so instead he pulled the bill from going to a vote.

I'm really hoping this girl with no job is not going to be a regular co-host. I really can't handle the valley girl/vocal fry.

I just came to see the opinions on her. She is terrible, and I don't like who Taylor is with her.

And, how can you talk about Val Kilmer movies without mentioning Top Gun?!?

I can't stand her voice! And Taylor has morphed into her! Also? Hello... Batman! And did you hear Taylor say "coolio." I'd be totally coolio with that

When I hear her voice I keep picturing girl with no job as Hannah from girls and not in a good way!

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

When she said someone was in the running for co-host who had been on the show, I think she might have meant her-she's been on a couple times as a guest. Ugh! I might comment on their fb page. They seemed to have responded to listener feedback on some of the other co-hosts...

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

And I know I sound old and out of touch(I'm in my 40s), but why are we celebrating someone who does nothing just because they're "insta" famous. She is so full of herself, talking about how people treated her before they realized "who she was", and how she was so annoyed by Clay Aiken because he wanted her to post or retweet or whatever for him. Get over yourself.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I checked out her instagram, and she has a pic of her gorgeous luxury apartment with an unbelievable view, and I'm just shocked that someone who doesn't have a job can live like that.

Let me preface this by saying I 100% agree with you.

Before I saw everyone's posts here, my initial reaction to her was "puh-leez, your "job" is Instagram? That's ridiculous." I tried to tell myself not to be so judgy, and, at least financially, this girl is much more successful than Taylor who actually gets up and does a radio show every day so maybe she does "work". And for that matter, more financially successful than me with my very "real" job (accounting). She didn't just wake up to 2.5M followers one day, she had to do something to get there, right? Or not? I really don't know that much about her- does she come from money? Did she just get lucky?

She must come from money. Super slouthy, DB, get in it and figure out what her parents do.

I wasn't interested enough in this girl to dig, but since you asked...

I only watched about the first 1/3 of this because I got bored, but apparently Claudia is one of a group of sisters who all do the same thing and work together to get some sort of synergy between the accounts. They talk about what their "work days" look like.

Then there's this...its a little more interesting. Keep reading until about halfway down - apparently they do come from (shady) money.

Thanks!

Do y'all think that Matt is making Taylor have her on? Seems they may be from the same circle?

It seems like Db did a better job vetting this girl than Matt.  Her beliefs seem off brand for WUWT.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I agree about "girl with no job" The only thing I liked about her is that she disagreed with Taylor and didn't just give into Tays opinion. I didn't know she had been on before, I listen rarely. I was reminded of the story Carly told about an instagram account that stole her text message from her dad and claimed it as their own. She was saying that these type of accounts just screenshot stuff and don't give credit. I don't pay that much attention to girlwithnojob but I think she does some of the same. It made me laugh that in that convo Tay was like oh yea they're the worst, meanwhile having this girl on the show and fawning over her.

I think it was yesterday, but did anyone notice that Carly was saying she used her cough button while she was eating during the foodie find? Even a once a week, newbie can do that?

DB your investigation skills are top notch!

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Yea not a fan of this girl with no job. I'm not following her on insta but what exactly does she sell? Hair vitamins? Sunglasses? Is she funny or something? She annoyed me. She was better then Emma who is half asleep on air.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Just my thoughts: I do not like "Girl with no Job" at all. There's not enough room in that studio for her ego! She wasn't likable at all. I think Claudia would be way too threatening. She's aiming for her own show. She already has her own podcast. Why can't they bring on Matt the comedian. I really liked him. And rob has gotten really annoying. I almost can't listen on Thursday because he gives me a headache. He's just too much.
