Music today was not great I agree, however, I would rather that music over the same 5 or 6 songs she plays every freakin' day!

It was fun when they started it, it was really weird foods. Not its just a chance to eat, they don't even link to who it is anywhere even if you were interested.

I think eating segments are a little strange for radio, but I have actually gotten 2 things after hearing about them on WUWT. The Bagel Shake and Bantam Bagels. Both were awesome.

Ha! I ordered The Bagel Shake too...that stuff was awesome. Totally forgot about it-might have to see if I can order more now!

Random-assed observations from Friday's show (not finished- listening to On Demand):
As I was getting ready for a baseball game yesterday, I turned on the Friday show. In just a short period of time, I heard two things that had me shaking my head.
1. This one is silly but one that Taylor often talks about...You know how she is about people who become friends with her friends, without her (basically leaving her out)? She's always saying she doesn't like it if she introduces two people and then they become friends and leave her out? I know this is trivial but I had to laugh when she was telling Emma about "her friend Rachel O'Brien, who sometimes appears on Vanderpump Rules." Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that Stassi's friend? And wouldn't Taylor have a FIT if Stassi said the same thing on her show but left out the fact that it was really Taylor's friend first/too? (I just found it kind of ironic when T always talks about this issue...)

2. I was laughing my ass off when she got on the "I hate Julia Stiles" bandwagon again (when talking about why or why not movie sequels are good). She followed up with, "I also hate Guiliana Rancic...it must be the 'J' names."   LOLOLOL!!! Do you see the problem there?? Do they both start with J? (PS-why does she hate Julia Stiles so much??)

3. And UGH with the eating on the air still/again/in the future.

The 8 I hate:

    1. Eating on the air/Cocktail people (seriously...unless you are going to commit to posting the cocktail
recipe or tweet the websites, please know it's only fun for you and give it up!)
    2. Toof Talk
    3. Dr. Anal-lick
    4. Happiness Guru's voice /most of her advice
    5. Psychic anything
    6. I'm a feminist because I'm a woman who left a man and I'm dating a woman
    7. Hating on any woman who is perceived skinnier or cuter than T
    8. IN-LAW BASHING!!!
Bonus: Lori B. constantly gushing over Babs and "I love me some..." (I hate that sentence starter. Thank you, Megan C!)

What I love:
1. Rob Shuter
2. Surprise me topic- when it doesn't lead to: in-laws, mean girls, who T fought with
3. DR. WIDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (She should be #1)
4. The callers!
5. Sometimes Robert Verdi (other times, not so much- the screeching can be a lot)
6. Guest interviews (most of the time!)
7. The Wednesday Boys Next Door
8. Clay Aiken!

OK...that's all I got. Not even that good but it bugged me in the short amount of time (40 min!) I was listening.

I love you 100% love you

~oh that would be so good right now~

Pretty sure I caught 70% of what she said about the top knot (can't make any promises) After you get out of the shower lay on your bed so your head/hair is hanging over the side and scoop it all up to the top of your head.

If only Taylor knew someone who could have helped her make a quick video to demonstrate this for her blog- oh wait....

So many resources right in her lap, and yet, nothing. The mind boggles.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Ok so idr which day this is from because I have barely been listening. The topic was about wanting certain things by certain ages. So she was talking about wanting to own a home. She said she asked her parents how much their home cost and I THINK she said something like wow I can but two of those.  If I heard correctly then why does she always complain about money? Be realistic, if you want to live in NYC you can't have that big house with the land without a crap ton of money. I have no idea how much their house cost but I'm sure a good amount, so if you can afford 2 then stop bitching about every little expense of every day life. 🙄 <-- eyeroll emoji

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

To be fair, I think she was talking about their starter house (the one she grew up in) not where they live now, but I totally agree with your sentiment. She also said she saved $1200/mo moving from the one bedroom to a studio. i couldn't imagine...

Ok that makes more sense! I mean it's still hard to buy a house, I'm working on that right now. But I really thought she meant their current home! On the water! In Mass! I was like holy crap. I hope she meant starter home lol wow 1200 saving for 100sqft less is a lot!

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I think it's hard to compare the price of homes our parents bought vs. today prices because of interest rates.

And the cost of living in NYC is absurd, do y'all make that much more?

About 35 min north of Toronto, my Grandparents bought their house for $15K in the early 60s, same town my parents bought a similar house in the early 80s for $77k. Both those houses are over $500K now. Its just insane, there is very little opportunity for people starting out to buy here. I bought my house for $150K 6 years ago, my neighbours (exact same house) wen on the market for $350k yesterday.

No joke! My dad paid $20,000 for the house he lives in.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

OMG this housewives conversation is pissing me off...can't figure out why she cannot realize that HER experience is not everyone's experience. Doubtful that most people who stay home also have a fucking housekeeper and just spend their days shopping and lunching. I would LOVE to stay home if I could. We are not prepping for kids, we don't ever want kids, but I would love to have time to keep the house super clean and cook every meal for my husband, garden, work out, painting/artwork, work on projects around the house, etc. Purpose is subjective, and there are lots of people whose purpose in life or the things they enjoy the most don't translate to a paycheck. Also, pretty sure actually being happy in your relationship would probably have an effect on how that situation would work out. If both partners are on the same page, why does she care??? One more shining example of Taylor's *unique* brand of feminism...if it didn't work for her, it's wrong. Period.

Omg!  I wish I was a stay at home mom.  Most of my friends are stay at home moms.  They have time to workout, cook for their family, clean, and are in good moods when their husbands come home from work.  Meanwhile, I work full time, have mommy guilt, and I am exahausted at the end of the day.  I agree it's a new trend, especially where I live.  I don't think a person's only purpose in life is to make money.  There are other things.  For example, We have only had one child because we are so busy.  We don't spend enough time with our one child, it would be insane to have another.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Lileffer I think that time only comes once all your kids are in school ft so the youngest would be 5 or 6. I was a sahm for the first 3.5 yrs of my kids life. My husband was laid off and back to work I went but those 3.5 yrs were definitely harder than working albeit more rewarding. And my job is fairly challenging.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Agree. I've done both and working is way easier than having two kids to take care of 24/7. It was so hard to go back after taking a year off after having my second but some days, going to the office feels like a vacation.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Ahh the SAHM conspiracy theory. I taught for 10 years and have been home with my son for 3 years. My husband and I planned ahead and made lots of sacrifices for this to work. It's the most exhausting yet unstimulating job ever. But I  wouldn't change it for anything...simply because no one is going to take care and attend  to my child physically and emotionally like I do. My mom stayed home with us and I can still recall the feeling getting off the school bus knowing she was home.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I was a SAHM for the first year of my oldest son's life. I had a really really hard time. Sure I guess we could've gone to the gym but most of it was spent struggling to manage another person's life in addition to running errands, running the household and not having a moment off. I didn't have a break ever. I was up all day and night with him and the weekends too. Deciding to work (I do only work part-time) has saved my mind. It's only because of work that I'm able to have more kids and have times to myself. I know again I'm very lucky because I get to do both and never feel like I'm missing important milestones in my children's lives, but work is a vacation for me. Sure most days I'm up until 11 or 12 working and I've forgotten what it feels like to watch tv, but I wouldn't trade that for being a SAHM again. I have some friends that do so with grace and others who are literally losing it, but I don't think it's necessarily an envious lifestyle. It's a privilege but it's also very very challenging to never ever get a break even to pee or eat by yourself.

She wasn't my favorite but I like that she didn't seem intimidated by Taylor. I think Taylor makes a lot of excuses for why she isn't more successful or wealthy, and I like that Nicole pretty much said it's her responsibility to make it happen. Sorry I don't have a specific example from the show, just the overall vibe I got today.

I agree. I like how she said you can only control yourself. Don't put it on everyone else to make things equal. Take charge and change the way you speak. Don't say, "I'm sorry, I have a question." Say, "I have a question."
