I don't know. I don't think it would be the trip, I can't imagine how that would have been a cancel worthy offense- unless somehow she didn't get permission to broadcast from out of the country? I've been worried for awhile that her extensive promotion of other projects she was working on for other networks might piss the Sirius bigwigs off, so maybe so? Others said it was the sexual harrassment talk from last week, but I'm just not sure about that. She didn't say anything specific about who the people were so I don't know how Sirius would have a leg to stand on with that. I'm just confused by this whole thing.....

Any theories???? I’m just confused at how quickly it happened. Boom...she’s gone. Especially after Clay said he’d be back tomorrow (Tuesday) so you know last Tuesday she had no idea it was coming.

What did she say with the sexual harassment talk that would be a fireable offense? I think she may have been fired over the trip and the IG posts accusing her of scamming fans with the trip.

Well now that I think about it- you could be right. She removed the link pretty quickly. I can imagine Sirius could have been upset if they thought she was using the show to screw over listeners. Though it must have been something pretty serious to yank the show so quickly.....almost something legally wrong, wouldn't you think?

Maybe because she was planning on doing a show there, plus making money off selling her meet & greet it was a conflict of interest?

I am so confused. On Thursday and Friday they were at the NY wine and food festival and even Carly said Friday at she renewed her contract. This must have happened on Saturday?!? One would think she would've have gotten business/legal advice and sirius' "ok" about the trip before announcing it. I doubt it was the sexual harassment talk. Everything she's said she has said before. Maybe she quit? On FB someone mentioned she might be Claudia's new host on Morning Breath?!? I doubt she would've quite Sirius for that...Idk it's looking like she probably got fired. I can't believe it happened so fast though...I'm so confused...It almost has to be about the trip. This sucks because they were just celebrating TD's promotion and everything. I still listened daily...I am cancel sirius today because now we really don't need it.

Maybe it was the trip. I mean that was the last weird thing to happen.

I mean I hated this trip and how she was trying to get one over on the listeners and glad it's cancelled or whatever.

I also s**t on her alot and the show and he repeat stories.

I feel real bad for her though. It's not fun being fired. Especially if it's something you did out that was dumb. Being laid off is one thing. I've had that happen. But being fired is embarrassing and the worst.

I wish she had hustled a bit more while at sirius. She could have had TONS more followers and a great social media outlet. 40k isn't alot for what she did.

Even though I slammed the show alot, I've listened since the beginning. Kind of sad it's gone.

I hear ya, Jane Bleeb. Racking my brain I'm realizing, if I were a Sirius exec, there are quite a few things about the show that would have made my eyebrows raise. The extensive bad mouthing of celebs she interviewed for Sirius. Using the show to blast her former in-laws daily (possibly worried about legal repercussions from that?) The promoting her other shows constantly on Sirius's platform. The trip which didn't go over well with listeners. So I suppose I should not be surprised but I still am. I wish she would have listened more to Katie- she alluded to the fact that Katie told her not to do or say things but she would just joke about it and do it anyway. I feel bad for Katie this morning- having to show up to work and do a different show when she is probably still reeling from the whole thing. Glad to know she still has a job at least for the time being, and she isn't getting the blame for whatever happened.

I've had a Sirius subscription for 12 years. I will never cancel it. I got stuck in a car once for about an hour with no satellite radio and wanted to puncture my own eardrums.
I started with Howard and the music options. There is so much to listen to when you want how you want.

Re: T. Maybe this is a blessing. Maybe now she will have to actually hustle. Find her social media voice etc... She doesn't have the show to use as a crutch. Now she has to figure out what makes her happy and what she's great at that will allow her to make a great living, as well as being around creative people? We'll see. I hope she won't fail sideways because she will not learn anything.

BTW all roads lead to the trip. It was scammy and shes a representative of siriusxm. That seems like it could have crossed a few lines at least.

OK. Let's watch. I'm curious to see what she does with this new found freedom. I do genuinely hope she does something with it.

I definitely think the trip had to have something to do with it. Never mind that it was just kind of a bad look for her and Sirius, since she was promoting it in her capacity as a Sirius employee and having an actual broadcast be an activity on the trip, I think Sirius was exposed to some liability there (ex. if someone got hurt on the trip or whatever) because of the affiliation. If she hadn't mentioned it on air at all and just promoted it via her social media - or even tried to spin it as a trip for her "blog readers" or whatever, she possibly could have gotten away with it. And I think its safe to say based on the janky-ass PDF they were e-mailing out and asking people to send their CC info, the legal department at Sirius was not consulted about this.

Side note - wonder how Taylor feels about suddenly not being the bread winner in the relationship anymore? I hope she's been smart with that divorce dinero...

But interesting that the trip was not hyped on the show Friday, so makes me think she may have been reprimanded or maybe told to zip it on Thursday. And then over the weekend she's fired because of it? Not sure it adds up for me.

If you watch her IG story, she's really happy in it Saturday, then Sunday morning its about eating her feelings. I think whatever went down happened Saturday night, Sunday morning.

Maybe, but I've seen situations at my job where someone gets reprimanded and it takes a couple of days to actually fire them because either the "big boss" needs to be consulted and isn't around and/or HR and legal need to discuss firing the person to make sure they aren't going to expose the company to any liability when they fire the person.

I think it was definitely this trip thing that did her in. It was just SOOOO SHADY. Plus that post is gone. She tried to make it a business/Sirius XM thing and Sirius probably didn't ok it. I mean she was asking for CC information over email!!! Sirius would not do anything like that. Perhaps it would have been "ok" if she wasn't like 'oh I'll do an hour show from there!"..

ANNNDDD perhaps this isn't the first time she's done something like this. Or maybe it was such a big deal they had to deal with it swiftly.

I wonder if she will fire Matt as her manager. If he had any say in her doing that at all.

All i know is that it must be all hands on deck for Matt and Taylor this morning. I bet you they are trying to get the show moved to another channel. If she's welcome back at all.

100% taylor tries to start her own podcast. If so she should get on that STAT. like this week. It' s not hard to set up.

She should def do a podcast!! I mean I don't need sirius anymore because of podcasts. She should get on that and i bet Kenny would help her too. If we know anything about sirius we know they're kinda shitty...they were with Kenny but the trip thing was probably a big legal fiasco. Idk if she can go on another channel if she was fired from sirius. if the channel was canceled then maybe but since she's actually fired i dunno...ugh this is so upsetting.
