Yeah, listening to the Best Of right now- and it says it's a Today's episode- it's back!!!

idk if its back...her picture isn't on the on demand app and all those episodes were showing up this morning for me....here's to wishing though! i hope you're right!

Oh, and when I clicked on the show under the Sirius line up it's an episode of Seth Speaks. Bummer. Sorry for the false alarm everyone!

Well, on the bright side, with all the outpouring of support on social media, she should have no issues selling out the T&C trip is she wants to start that up again!

no, it wasn't. I think I had made note of that somewhere...they didn't mention it at all on air after Wednesday.

Personally, I have a feeling that while it may have been sudden to her it may have been in works from the higher-ups for a while. For a LONG time we've all been saying that she's phoning it in, that the show is stale, etc. etc. I mean, my God, she couldn't even change up the intro songs (I will forever loathe Justin Bieber's "Sorry," and that Meghan Trainor song? J-effing-C. Seeeriously made me want to puncture my own eardrums) We canNOT have been the only people to notice. She's mentioned us on air on a number of occasions; we clearly have a presence. There is a 0% chance that she, or even someone from Sirius interested in listener feedback, didn't come to these boards and read what her listeners are saying! At the very least I would expect Katie to have been lurking around here for feedback to strengthen the show. With how often Taylor would allude to Katie "getting mad" or not wanting her to repeat topics, I think Katie tried her best, but T's laziness and ego got in the way. Maybe it got to the point where she felt she was "safe" because she'd had a show for so long, got complacent, and.... this happened.

Also, if I were a Sirius exec I'd be pretty pissed that she was taking on all these other "side hustles" and her work with the company began to suffer. I mean, by all means, do your thing and work it, but be sure to maintain your performance at your primary job. It's still the thing paying your bills, and the company has a lot at stake. #1 job has to be your #1 priority.

I can't help but feel a little bit guilty in that perhaps our negativity was taken into some consideration when making this decision (though maybe if she'd used this forum for constructive criticism and not just called us "trolls," perhaps things would be different right now). But I'm truly sorry she lost her job. As frustrating as the show could be, I still listened often and have been listening since Summer 2010. Aside from the recent repetitiveness, it was almost always entertaining, and when she was good, she was great (early 2010's were my favorite). Hopefully this can serve as a lesson to her and she figures out a way to come back. I would almost certainly give a podcast a listen because I think she has so much potential!

Sigh. Yep. I must admit I posted on here in the hopes that she would see it and maybe consider making some changes. She ignores the other Wake Up pages, but I knew she must somehow pay attention to this one (she referenced the things on this page so often she must read it) Obviously, it didn't work.

Me too, literally just one minute ago. Guess it's really over. I'm sad.

I have been listening since almost the very first show. Sometimes I’d go for months without but then come back. Post-divorce I don’t know what happened but the show really tanked for me. She became bitter, on a quest for fame, and honestly boring. I kept tuning in because I loved Kenny. Then once Kenny left I for sure thought it was going to be cancelled. I remember some of us on this board last October saying there’s no way it would survive the October reprogramming but it did! And I listened again because I wanted that to be a wake up call for her that she needed to switch things up.

Unfortunately no amount of rotating cohosts can fix it when the headliner of the show is clearly over it. She began constantly searching for the next big thing at the expense of her big thing. Do you know how many people would kill for her job? I would. And yet it wasn’t enough. She is a self proclaimed narcissist whose ego got the best of her. After they got rid of cosmo radio I would’ve started hustling big time. When they refused to work with Kenny on doing a remote show I would’ve really put myself out there because if anything she should’ve learned over the years is that everyone is expendable at Sirius. But the ego and the thinking she was safe from all this is what did her in.

I don’t know what was the impetus for the cancellation...it could be something we’ll never know about. But it’s certainly not surprising. It’s just disappointing. At one point she felt like someone I could really relate to, a true media personality that I would like to call a friend. But while I’ve grown up and matured the show didn’t and that’s sad. I hope she does do well in wherever she goes but I’m not sure if she’s all that marketable without the radio platform.

Welp I just called and canceled. They didn't even ask why but I did tell the guy it was because WUWT was gone.
