Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I loved Angela too!! I'm going to throw out names but I have no clue who you guys are referring too. Now let me preface this with....I can't remember the birthdays of my family members or what I did yesterday, but I'm somehow pulling this stuff out of my butt. So I remember someone named Iya Kanai (Obviously butchered THAT spelling) on both shows...and they LOVE the girl that wrote the book (she was at Taylor's wedding and vice-versa; used to be some type of an editor). Dammit...where are all of the old Cosmos that were sitting there gathering dust when I HAD to subscribe just because they were talking about stupid stuff in them? The ones I never read???

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

FKCSTMom - you didn't butcher it at all. You're thinking of Aya Kanai.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

It wasn't Iya Kanai(who is now on Project Runway Jr, btw), and it wasn't Rebecca Hessel, or the one that wrote the book. It may have been a Jessica or something.

oops Aya

Lydia you are thinking of Jessica Knoll. :-)

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

For the Jessica, I mean. She is the one that wrote the book though.  I didn't love it.

Right. I couldn't remember her last name.

I thought about both Leah and Angela this summer, I missed them and wondered what they were up to.
That last summer you could tell something was up with the radio station because they had WWUT, then played a repeat. nothing was good all day until Cocktails with Patrick, then the repeat. and Dr Jenn. I wish Starz had picked up all the shows. Patrick always wanted to do sports, but I liked his show especially with Sean. I listen to them regularly on The Wrap. It's a crap time slot, they talk about sports, which I just don't care about, but it's entertaining enough for someone who's not into sports. Patrick starts the show with some chatter and sometimes it's feels a little CWP familiar and he and Sean have fun. It's like under the Helmet or Hard Knocks kinda sports and they still have a poll queston of the day - the only reason I started on twitter. I'm a fan and I would listen to them on any station.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

So basic!!!

Is this a new saying? I've never heard it before, EVERYTHING was so basic this morning. I feel like she hung out with a new friend this weekend that mentioned something was "So Basic!" and now that's her go to phrase.

I don't think it is particularly new, but it is a saying.  example: pumpkin spice latte's, riding boots and a navy vest is/are (too early to figure that out) so basic white girl.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Yeah I've heard of basic white bitch for awhile now especially referring to pumpkin flavored anything.

Oh I've definitely heard it before, just not so much from Taylor. The AMAs were basic, comedy shows are basic, morning television is basic, Justin Beiber is basic. Everything was so basic this morning lol

Not a new phrase, but you definitely hit the nail on the head with your assessment of the situation!!! Like when my 72-yr old Dad said "selfies" last week... Like how adorable, you learned some new slang bahahaha 😂😂😂

Getting to the second hour where The Basic took over. In my opinion she is not using it in the correct context. But what do I really know.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Listening to the show now. Yes, major use of "basic", it's the new "woof".

Also I loved her comment about all of her model friends. Ubah is gorgeous, TD? Not so much. I think Taylor is prettier then her.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Taylor equates prettiness with thiness and height. Face barely enters the equation with her. TD is average looking, just very tall and thin, that in Taylor's warped point of view = model.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I think it's sad that T only wants to hang out with people who are considered to be attractive.  She comments on her friend's looks in an almost obsessive way.  I think it goes hand in hand with what a crappy friend she is - all her relationships are shallow.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I was literally yelling at the radio today when Taylor, within the same couple of sentences, says that Pentantonix being on the AMA's is their biggest exposure they've had, alongside that being on the radio means staying up to date and predicting media news.

THE PENTATONIX WON A GRAMMY.

A. GRAMMY.

I can't even.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I love Kenny, like, protectively, and saw his stand up and laughed until I cried, but hearing Taylor with Sam was like listening to a new show. A show with energy. A show where Taylor actually gave and took--was respectful and let her partner be a person. Wow. I don't even know what to think. I love Kenny, but there's a problem with the status quo.

I was wondering listening to today's show who these models were she claims are her best friends. Does TD model? I know Ubah, but do they even hang out anymore?

I used to like FKF. But now I can't stand it. I do not want to hear people eating on the RADIO. If they periscoped it or just posted a quick video on Facebook/twitter/instagram it would be a little better. The lip smacking is disgusting. Sorry, not in a very Friday  - Friday mood.

I hate it. It's to the point where I can pretty much predict what Taylor is going to say, too. "Mmmmmm! Wow! This is f*cking amazing! Seriously!" Cool, great description . I agree, if they periscoped it, or just made it a social media thing, it would make more sense.

I swear like a drunk sailor, but dropping the F bomb so much on air is really unappealing to me. (Even on the DUI video)  It just seems trashy and forced.

Did anyone catch in the first hour when Taylor started to say "Mother F*CK*R" and stopped. Kenny said something and she said something to the affect of swearing makes her trashy apparently. She then said something about Babette telling her she was raised better.

So "Hello" to Babette! Happy reading!

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

They were talking about Durst this morning, and the song Kenny made with the infamous burp. They kept referring to it as "Durst Burst" song. Drove me crazy!!

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I really wish taylor would just say "my friend taylor said...." Instead of making it seem like she hangs out with tons of friends by saying, "I have a friend who..."

It's always TD. Always.

I'm curious why this bothered you? That's what he had named the song when he made it.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Did you hear Tay say today that they'll be broadcasting live on Friday 6 to 7am? I wonder who's idea that was!

I remember how she said when she first started, she cried to her boss because she had to work on Christmas. I'm glad she's hustling again. I'll tune in.

Yeah I always thought it was Durst Burp, not burst. It's a song about a burp. Not a burst, even though it rhymes.

Ohhhhh. That makes sense if you thought it was "Durst Burp". I thought you meant them talking about it in general annoyed you.

But, no. It was called Durst Burst.

Thanks, Chicken! I am still annoyed because I don't think it should be called Durst Burst.
