There must be a new intern. There's a lot of fb posts. Not much interaction.

This is the only place to be for continuing the conversation! One poor soul on the "real" forum keeps asking questions directly to T&K...it's sad really. I want to just tell her, they're not gonna respond sweetie...

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I thought Kenny's interview with Laura Prepon was great.  He was well prepared and so engaged.  It made me want to buy the book.  When Taylor interviews someone, she's constantly waiting for her next turn to talk instead of having a real conversation.  I hate, hate, hate that she can't be bothered to pronounce anyone's name right!!!

I feel bad for them that they aren't getting more interaction on their social media posts. I mean, it's their own fault of course. But I'm afraid they'll give up due to lack of response. They don't have the perspective that it can take a long time with consistent posts and back and forth interaction to gain a solid following.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Other shows interact with their forums and social media during the whole show. Give up on that forum people. Your hosts don't care so why should u. The least they could do is social
Media but even that is so hard for them. They can complain all they want about it and that it's hard but other shows do it. No wonder they aren't more famous after 10 years.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Kenny's interview with Laura Prepon was absolutely awesome! It was an actual interview discussing the guest and her work, not just Tay talking about herself and saying "yeah, ok so, mmhhhmmm" over and over. Good job, Kenny!

I was thinking the same thing while listening! It was such a great interview. You could tell Kenny knew his shit and Laura appreciated it. The whole conversation just flowed smoothly and left me wanting to buy the book!

I wouldn't be surprised. Did he say something that made you think that he does? I don't listen to his show but I think he see that Taylor puts in minimal effort for sure. And reading this page would clue anyone into that fact.

Really enjoying Kenny & Katie this morning. I think if he ever wanted his own show, he would do great in Cw/P time spot. I like his topics, the way he talks to callers and just his demeanor in general.

I laughed when Bonnie was done and he said to Katie "I took her as much as I could!" lol

Me too - I hate to poo poo when they try something new, but it was a lot like the Xmas party- it just doesn't translate well on radio IMO.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Agreed...I listened for about 10 minutes but when they said they were going to interview a dog, I shut it down. It's one thing to interview celebrities in NYC (even those I don't know, I can google and get a picture in my mind) but a dog?? Nope...

Another thing that has always been kind of a pet peeve (no pun intended but I had the perfect setup!!) happened right before that. They interviewed someone who was representing a new wine glass (Turk?) that is insulated. I found myself wishing they would SPELL THE DAMN NAME OUT!!!! Not everyone at home (or wherever we are!) knows what you are saying or seeing! And therefore, if WE are interested in looking online for it...we are screwed!! (I understand that sometimes we are lucky and links get posted but how hard would it be for any of them to say "That's (fill in the name) for our listeners who might want to buy" ???????? 😉😉❤️

Thanks for the link LilEffer!!! I'll have to admit though, from the description I listened to on the radio, they do not look like what I expected at all. They really just look like an insulated pool glass...nothing special. Not that they don't work better...they could be awesome. But from the description they were telling us (how beautiful they are), I thought they'd be more like real wine glasses! (To clarify, this was the rep doing the describing...not T, K or K!)

That's funny.  When I heard her say Tervis, I had a hard time imagining a beautiful glass so I had to google it and find them.  I use tervis water bottles and just regular cups and they are nice because they don't "sweat," but I don't know how enjoyable wine would be.

TOTALLY DISAGREE! I loved hearing him get fired up and take a stand about an issue! The caller was condescending and bitchy. (channeling "bitchy and judgmental")

Saying that a model with a "more average" woman's body is a problem is like saying we shouldn't have bananas because they have a lot of sugar in them... just stupid.

The one poor soul ("I'm built like a 12-yr old boy) could barely be heard with Tay screaming her opinions over her. I don't mind  them disagreeing with others opinions, but I do wish they wouldn't be assholes to the callers. When the one lady said, "I love listening to your show on my morning drive" and Kenny said something like "well we love doing it" in response, but his tone came across so condescending and douche-y...it kind of turned me off...

I understand why Kenny went off. What i took from it was when she looks at Ashley Graham she sees unhealthy, but when she sees a regular rail thin model that's healthy.

I think it's terrible how they treat callers. I don't know how anyone has the balls to call in. I wouldn't. I think Kenny is actually more rude to callers than Taylor. Very sarcastic and always looking for a joke even with serious calls.

That's how I think they were taking it. What I understood her to be saying, Ashley Graham is now being seen as  healthy/attainable (HugKiss call) when she is over weight, because that's the direction the States is going. She is beautiful, but she is overweight. Not that anyone should be starving themselves to be thin, that is just as unhealthy.

I think her point being larger is now being seen as normal because that's the way the country is going to. Should people really be trying to get down to a 14/16/18? To me that sounds as ludicrous as people trying to get down to a 2/0/00

I also thought the caller was right.  We're justifying being unhealthy by saying it's beautiful.  You can be both  - being a "whatever" size doesn't make you unattractive, but it can certainly lead to health problems.  I'm a 14 and I know it's not healthy.  If I were a 2, I'd also know that isn't healthy.  Beauty runs the gamut.  Health is pretty clear cut.

You really think that Ashley Graham is overweight? That seems insane to me... she does not have the same body type as rail-thin models... but i seriously doubt that she is overweight!!!

I don't think a 14 should be labeled unhealthy just because of size, the same way I don't think a size 2 should be labeled healthy automatically. Bodies are different.  I have a friend that would be a perfect candidate for a plus size model, she is probably bigger than Ashley G, she can run a 7 minute mile. Tell me how she's unhealthy? That why I agree on Kenny going off on the caller, every body is different.  If you are a slug you are unhealthy at a size 2 or 14, if you workout/eat well you can be healthy at both sizes too.
