soo.....today - tay singing about "I want money, lots and lots of money....I really do" has really turned me off. and a random thought entered my head - does anything think that Tay is a golddigger? and married Brett mostly for his money and the lifestyle he could have provided her? eeekkkkkkkk i really didn't think she did, but her obsession with money and doing little to achieve it is starting to make me think differently.

I'm not sure the title of gold digger is right, but I do think she yearns for that lavish lifestyle. And would do almost anything to grasp that. BUT I do think she loved Brett and Brett loved her. And it's a shame that they couldn't maintain that connection. She is trying to figure herself out now, and that is coming across as her being an immature asshole. I believe she has so much good in her, but she's trying so hard to be "cool" and it's just not working.

Wait I haven't listened I'm so behind. Stassi is back in the picture?

Gold digger is tough to say. When I think of gold digger I think of someone intentionally setting out for someone with money, consciously. I don't think she does it consciously. Having said that I do not think she would be with someone poor. I'm guessing she rationalizes it more by saying I want someone successful, driven etc. But yes over the years she has shown to be easily impressed by money which is weird bc I don't get the impression her parents raised with that as a focus and I'm guessing her parents are millionaires (my mom has worked for eye drs for yrs and all of them are) but not NY family extreme wealth money.

I miss the mornings where I would long to listen. I was one of the ones that would listen to the replay too and the show was 4 hrs. Now this board is the excitement and what reminds me to listen.

Same here. I used to use on demand to make sure I listened to every minute of every show and looked forward to it daily. Lately I only listen when something that is talked about on here peaks my interest.

If she were truly a gold digger she would have stayed married just for the money...unless BE is the one who called it quits and she's trying to spin it differently.

It does seem that since "the announcement" and the birth of Duke, the show has descended into something it never used to be. It is no longer entertaining and I so wish it were.
Do the Sirius higher ups not listen to her and hear how repetitive it has become?

maybe "golddigger" is not the proper term, but pretty obsessed with money

who do you think T was talking about today when she said she had a "peer but not a friend" who sent her the mean email at work? Probably Steph right?
I believe she was talking about the ex-SIL, only because she mentioned they said she was gay- bashing or something..and (shocking!) she just told that story again last week

I can't even.....is she for real right now saying how fucking awesome she is at receiving constructive criticism?? WTF

Agreed. However, they are friends...? BUT she doesn't even know how old she is!?!???!
She's your friend and you don't know her age. That my friends is very telling. I guess we are back to the social climbing T. ...
This is gonna sound harsh....and this is coming from years and years of listening to the show....but Taylor is a 'hanger-on'....... She wants so badly to be apart of the "in-crowd"....... I used to get second-hand embarrassment every time she would bring up how she invited Selena Gomez to her wedding only after meeting her a few times.......of course she said it was Brett who made her do it......She wants the success, riches, perks that her friends have and truly believes she deserves it just because.........
I like her most when she is down to earth and doesn't feel the need to name drop......😒

I loved it today when Michelle pushed back on Tay when she tried to say she didn't come from money. Ummm yes she did come from money. The fact that she thinks she didn't is insane to me and shows how out of touch with reality she is. Maybe this is why she can't get a handle on the "hard work to be successful" concept...

I do not think they took a single caller today.

I think it really depends on how her parents handled it.
Looking back, my parents were much better off then the majority of my friends. We were never spolied by an means though, I babysat from the time I could, then was doing dishes at a diner on weekends at 14. We had what we wanted within reason, but we certainly didn't get every whim we came across.
I think it's quite possible she doesn't realise that she came from money.

agreed. thank you michelle for pushing back!! Taylor brags about how her dad is a doctor and her mom is a debutante...pretty sure a debutante is not someone who is poor. and although her dad came from little money and worked his way through Harvard, at the end of the day he is a Harvard doctor and i doubt they are anywhere near "poor."

Ditto to fkfriday. It is also perspective. What be family and friends have is more than coming from money. It isn't 1% it is 1% of 1% or whatever smaller denomination. Coming from middle class or upper middle class vs private planes and $10m homes quite different.

The dog/duck story is the final straw for me. I officially loathe her. I was on the love/hate fence for awhile, but she is genuinely a pathetic excuse for a human being. A lazy, entitled, insecure yet narcissistic, vapid, ignorant, unintelligent jerk.
This. Every single bit. I loved Taylor. Have been a loyal listener for almost a decade but I do not have any tolerance for her these days. The show is downright awful.
How much longer do you think the show has? Do you think it's going to rebound?

I actually was wondering if it was being canceled and that's why she's been on Sams show more recently when she never did that before and if they know that so that's why Kenny was like I might as well take my whole paternity leave... Again speculation.

Huh!!! Hadn't thought of that, makes sense though.
I feel like the whole station is suffering. I was out last night and Ellen was replaying about 9:30. Why is Dr.Jenn on so late (it may be better for her schedule, I think she's west coast) and all these replays? I like DSF becuase I can't listen at work, but the repeat of the first hour of Dr.Laura and two hours of Ellen is ridiculous.

I have the online subscription so I don't have it in my car. They are broadcasting a free trial automatically to car radios and stars isn't one of the channels available. I thought that was odd but maybe just a coincidence again

Also, Katie was hired over a month ago and still no formal introduction/acknowledgment? Maybe they don't want the audience to form that relationship with another show figure just to make the cut?

@Softpretzels You really wanna go there??!!! (Kidding) So True! I stated this ages ago on the reddit board. I felt the most Bethos ever when her and B actually went to Danielle F's wedding. The aftermath and the awkward call in were enough for me to go run and hide.

Straight up, I only really started listening to WUWT after CWP got canceled. I always thought Tay was a whiner. But with nothing else to listen to, I tuned in. I have heard the same effing stories over and over and over for a couple years now. I thought we might hear something new, what with the divorce. But no. I'll still be on this board, but I think I am done with the show. I like Sam's show when he isn't talking about wrestlers and DSF is OK. I'm dropping my on demand feature because I could gives zero effs if I don't here that T was afraid she would get aids from beads again.
BTW, do you all hear the second she tunes out to the 7 things or to what she could care less about. Drives me insane that she can't focus if it is not about her.

this is why I thought she would kill it on the blog. It would be ALL ABOUT HER. Her show has turned into an extension of her "therapy" in which she credits her sense of "self awareness"(ha). Yes, I love hearing about her life. But I feel like I've heard it all. Aids beads, Harvard family, virgin parents. Gosh, she's even beat the "Taylor swift an undercover mean girl" horse to death. I get establishing a personal connection to the celebs she interviews, but lately she flips the script and talks all about herself. She used to be a great interviewer. as Kenny would say "naht good, Hun."

Ok I've been reading all these comments and agree with them all! Do you think it's time to take our thoughts to social media: facebook and twitter? I've posted on FB before and got lamblasted but who cares. If we all express our thoughts in a constructive way showing we care for the show and want it to be the show we all once loved it's worth it. Maybe the higher ups will read and take notice. I know the mega fans will push back, but if we are respecful they will take our advice and make changes!

I don't think it'll go over well. She and her crew (Mom & Sam) are clearly reading this board and nothing is changing, I doubt pointing it out on FB will be any different. Stars has already buried her in the morning where fewer & fewer people can listen, I don't think she's a priority. They have a replay of a TV show instead of her, that says a lot.
The money shows are DSF & Dr.Laura. I think at this point WUWT is a time fill for mediocre pay.

Interesting! I thought when they moved to 6-9am that that was a bit of a promotion in radio world- the prime rush hour driving time. But you're right in that WU's replay is gone making it virtually impossible for west coasters to listen.

Maybe! It works well for my schedule, but seems a lot of people are listening to replays of it. I would think live listeners is your goal, I know nothing about radio though!

I'm really interested to see if Sirius/XM comes up with a better way to handle the huge increase in on demand music/talk available. My understanding is that they have recently updated the on demand app but I gave up on it a while back. There are so many easy to use apps/programs (Apple Music, Spotify, any of a million podcast apps). I'm sure there will always be some market for live radio but the on demand stuff is only going to become more popular, particularly with younger people. I know we still have a long way to go before it's super common but I just feel like XM has to step up their game with that stuff (for a few reasons, one of which is the time of the live show).
