Forza Horizon 6 Eliminator Car Tier List and Upgrade Drop Guide

The Eliminator is back in Forza Horizon 6, and it has undergone a massive structural shift. By dropping players into a dense urban environment heavily inspired by Tokyo alongside rugged, mixed off-road terrain, the developers have completely upended the old meta.In previous games, you could map out a straight line across open fields and coast to victory on top speed alone. Now, the concrete jungle demands sharp handling, instantaneous acceleration, and asphalt-pacing mastery. Let's break down which cars will carry you to the final showdown and how to navigate the new map effectively.Eliminator Car Tier List (Levels 1–10)Because the environment features tight city corners and sudden terrain transitions, vehicles with all-wheel drive (AWD), responsive low-end torque, or high ground clearance have skyrocketed in value. Meanwhile, low-slung, rear-wheel-drive supercars have become massive liabilities.LevelBest (Pick These)Worst (Avoid if Possible)NotesLevel 1Honda CityN/A (Starter)The default starter vehicle. It’s nimble in the alleys, but your goal should be challenging a Level 2 immediately.Level 2Toyota Tacoma TRD ProAbarth 131The Tacoma handles urban obstacles and off-road shortcuts beautifully. The Abarth struggles to put power down.Level 3Ford Bronco #2069Toyota Celica '03The Bronco handles rough geometry and curb-hopping easily; the Celica spins out the moment its tires touch dirt.Level 4Peugeot 205 Turbo 16Ford F-150 LightningThe Peugeot is an agile, pocket-sized rocket. The Lightning EV is simply too heavy for tight city corners.Level 5Subaru WRX STI S209Alumi #122 BuggyThe S209 features superb AWD grip, making it a top meta pick. The Buggy lacks the top speed needed for highway stretches.Level 6Audi RS6 '09Bentley BentaygaThe RS6 boasts extreme asphalt speed and reassuring grip. The Bentayga is massive, heavy, and incredibly clumsy.Level 7Porsche 959RJ Anderson Pro 2The legendary 959 dominates mixed terrain seamlessly. The Pro 2 trophy truck bounces way too much on concrete blocks.Level 8Huracán SterratoAcura NSX Type SThe Sterrato's lifted AWD setup is absolutely perfect for this map. The track-focused Acura fails hard off the asphalt.Level 9Porsche 911 Turbo SJaguar C-X75The Turbo S launches flawlessly and claws for traction anywhere. The Jaguar spins its wheels endlessly on the dirt.Level 10Austin Taxi HSAventador '12The meme-tier Taxi has insane off-line acceleration that destroys city routes. The Aventador gets easily high-centered on trees and curbs.Car Upgrade Drop GuideUpgrades appear dynamically across the arena, marked by flashing car drop locations emitting rising plumes of colored smoke. Knowing where to look can give you a massive head start before the circle begins to shrink.High-Probability Drop Locations

  • Tokyo City Center: This area features a high density of spawns. It is the perfect zone for finding early Level 2 to Level 4 drops to get you out of your starter car, though it is always highly contested.
  • The Mountain / Touge Run: You will find fewer drops along these winding roads, but they statistically hold a much higher percentage of Tier 5 and above drops. It's risky, but highly rewarding if you can handle the switchbacks.
  • Landmarks & Festival Sites: Distinct architectural landmarks across the map consistently yield higher-tier drops early in the match. Keep an eye out for unique structures as you drop in.

How to Upgrade Efficiently1. Spawn SelectionTry spawning near the outskirts of the dense urban center. Your goal should be to secure one quick car drop to ditch your Level 1 vehicle, and then immediately hunt down other players before they get comfortable.2. Head-to-Head StrategyWinning a Head-to-Head duel remains the fastest way to progress through the tiers. When you win, you can select a car exactly one tier higher than your current ride, or completely steal your opponent's car if it happens to be better suited for the terrain. Don't be afraid to aggressive challenge lower-level cars.3. The Final Showdown PrepNever take a pure street supercar—like the Aventador or Acura NSX—into the final phases of the game unless you are 100% certain the finish line is mapped directly along the main highway.Instead, prioritize rally-spec builds like the Porsche 959 or the Huracán Sterrato. These cross-country machines ensure that no matter where the final checkpoint drops—whether it's on top of a mountain or across a rocky riverbed—you can drive in a straight line and claim the win.
