Is a captain save a hoe the same as a White Knight?

Re: Podcast Topics

Yes. He hates to see a female in distress. He is a “fixer”. It always ends in disaster. Feelings always gets hurt. Someone always ends up in the friend zone.

Re: Podcast Topics

I think of it more as this --
"A guy that sells out his own male gender to earn some extra " brownie " points with the ladies".

Kind of an inside joke in my house. My husband and I have a whole thing about guys with neck beards who say stuff like, "yes, m'lady".  I can't even do it justice with that explanation.

I’m picking up what you’re putting down. 😂 Do these neck-bearded men also attend renaissance fair(e)s?

Girl: my boyfriend is a jerk
CSAH: yes he is, he treats you so bad.
Girl: you have always been so good to me. If only he were like you.....
CSAH: what can I do to make you feel better?
Girl: buy me stuff, listen to me bitch, know my every intimate detail, go away when my hot abusive boyfriend shows up.
CSAH: gladly! I love being used while you bang the guy who treats you like shit.

As you can see. Captain save a hoe has no self respect. He is desperate for attention. In fact so much that he is willing to give his last shred of dignity to garner that attention. This, empowering the female to stay with douchebag boyfriend who bangs like a pornstar on crack, and get her emotional needs met by the poor dumbass who will let her.

Captain save a hoe needs to nut up and quit being a door mat.

😂😂😂 Renaissance Faires or not, I'm totally picturing those guys that wear fedoras and/or trench coats (black, of course), and are super into paintball  (Edit: oh God, I just described my cousin Dylan :-/)

Yes. And are big into video gaming. 😂😂. You hit the nail on the head with the fedora, secco. I'll try to post my fave meme which sums up the white knight.

Maybe it's the bottle-and-a-half of wine that I just crushed, or definitely it's the bottle-and-a-half of wine that I just crushed, but this just made me feel so sad. I was definitely that girl when I was younger ☹️. I feel the need to apologize on behalf of all insecure young girls out there/insecure females in general who are too dumb to recognize that it's the good guys who are worth our trouble and tears (because let's get real--pretty much every guy has probably been cried over by a girl somewhere, whether they think so or not. Some for douchier reasons than others). Thank God for the CSAHs out there--you are so appreciated once we pull our heads out of our asses and realize that you guys are the real "princes."

edit: drunk spelling. Also, gotta say--making guys buy stuff for you is a super dick move that i do NOT condone 👍

Re: Podcast Topics

Once a CSAH, always a CSAH.

All girls want that hot Prince Charming to come into their lives and sweep them off their feet. The problem is that most hot Prince Charming guys are super dick faces because their prettiness allows them to treat women like shit.....and they come back for more. And if the chick don’t like it, there is a line of them willing to take her place.

I have never been hot, nor even remotely attractive. My only positive physical attributes are that my chest, arms, and shoulders are big because I work with my hands for a living. And, that I have freakishly green eyes. I have made up for this by being intelligent, witty, well read, and considerate. This made me somewhat unique in man land. But alas, not someone that makes you want to have that special mommy and daddy hug.

I am married because I was CSAH. my wife hated the fact that all the hot guys she dated wanted to do nothing but have sex. This included my best friend. That is how she and I met. I performed my CSAH duties with incredible  precision. Winning her heart and admiration. Then eventually her hand in marriage.

She would still get a wandering eye in the early days. Understandable considering the Wilde beast that she was married too. I stayed true to the cause. She relished the attention, and the fact that I loved her unconditionally. Sex was infrequent, as she claimed to not really be into it. So I continued.  For better for worse. Her confidence as a woman grew as she knew that I was always in her corner. As time rolled along, we decided to have a child...... you all know the rest of the story.

So, to sum it up to the lowest common denominator. CSAH is the man that a woman wants to marry. Raise some kids, and grow old with. But, there will always be the guy that you want to bang, he is not the marrying type, nor does that matter. Because it is your lust for him that keeps guys like that in the food chain.

You have nothing to apologize for.

CSAH can walk at any time he deems necessary. He chooses not to because he has no self respect.

Karma, if you believe that’s how it is, you’ll never believe life can be better. Not all women are after hot jerks. Maybe some, but once we are old enough to understand how we are being treated and why, we generally start to find better mates. It’s like the saying, if you want a friend, be a friend. If you don’t want an insecure partner, don’t be an insecure partner... everyone likes confidence. You might not be the best looking ever, but you can take care of yourself, and be proud of that.

Thanks dear.

I was only giving the general view. Every situation is unique in its own way. I have had to grow and mature just like everyone else.

I have witnessed numerous women over the years grow to appreciate a good man.

That is all I want to be. A good man who wants to be loved, and wanted, and needed. One who puts others first. Takes care of his responsibilities, and is someone whom you can depend on.

I want to leave this place better than I found it.

Re: Podcast Topics

Karma, I know exactly where you are coming from. Sadly, I was a chick who dated absolute monsters and passed over nicer guys for not being as "exciting". Finally at the age of 23 I realized that the "exciting" feeling from those dudes was really nothing good or healthy, but felt stuck winding up with those guys over and over again. Enter my husband. He was smart, caring, sweet, with boy next door cuteness but not drop dead gorgeous. I put him in the friend zone because I had dated his best friend and thought it was best that way. But thankfully my CSAH continued to pursue me, lightly and politely. He had absolutely no game, he called when he said he would, he listened when I talked, we had fun together. All of sudden I realize I'm falling for this guy, despite the fact that he didn't give me the same tingle in my bottom that the assholes did. I overrode my baser instincts and gave it a shot with him. 6 months later we moved in together, were married 4 months after that, and now we are coming up on our 13th wedding anniversary. So I guess I'm trying to say Captain Save a Ho can have a very happy ending- he just needs to find the girl who is over the assholes and sees him for who he is, which is an amazing man.

This makes me happy.

This is what a CSAH truly wants. This is what drives him.

Aw, thanks.  Maybe the best part was that while my husband did kind of "save" me (from my bad relationship habits, anyway) he didn't act like he was trying to. He was just really genuine and a great guy; if he was trying to play White Knight, he was very discreet about it....

FKCSTMom - podcast or not, I'd love to hear what you have to say about kids/school/education.  My oldest is only 5, but I'd love to read any advice you have from your experience as a principal!

Principals make the difference.  I was very lucky that my kid had 2 fantastic ones. One in elementary school, the other in high school.
