I am actually a paralegal, but have worked in employment law for a long time. My best guess, if she is not using it as a stall technique for telling the listeners what happened, is that there are “settlement negotiations” of some sort going on. While the parties are bound by a contract, as I understand is true in Tay’s case, it does not mean Sirius cannot go above and beyond the terms of what they “have” to do in order to avoid litigation. If Tay is smart, or at least has good attorneys advising her, she will hold out for the bedt deal she can. Like in a divorce, both sides give and take. At her level (as opposed to someone who has no contract or for example, has a minimum wage job) it is not like they make you sign a release for settlement money/severance as you are walking out the door. Typically, an employee is given a week or ten days to decide if they are going to sign a release in exchange for money, non-compete issues and right to sue. If Tay has good lawyers, they are probably playing hardball as is Sirius. In something like this, with her livelihood and career on the line, she will (or should) consult the best lawyers she or her parents can pay for. These kind of negotiations can be drawn out for a while so I do not see her inability to say anything on air (TV, radio, podcasts, etc.) as unusual. Until everything is signed, nothing is a given and my guess she has learned to zip it is in her own best interest. NY could be different but I doubt it - there is usually no time limit on how long it can take to reach an agreement. It could go on for a month or two, although I see that as unlikely in this situation. Hope this helps. It is my best guess.
I’ll just preface by saying I’m from Canada, so our labour laws are a little different, so my apologies if this does not apply. But I’d have to agree. As someone who works in Human Resources and has dealt with severances before it is not unusual to have som

In Canada, you get a year off I believe at 65% paid by the Government. Many companies will top you up to 100%. Other then the first three months, you can split it up between the parents as you like. A friend hates staying home with the kids, she takes the first three, hubby takes the remainder. I think you can overlap, like both home for the first three, then someone take the extra 6 but not sure on that.
Canada gets 1 year at 65% with a salary cap of about 48k a year. 65% of that is under 30k that you would get before tax. It's all through employment insurance. Some companies will top up but usually only for the maternity portion of the leave. Maternity which only the birth mother can take is 17 weeks and the remaining can be taken by either the mom or dad.
Employers do need to have a comparable job for the person to return to at end of their leave but not necessarily the same job. Most jobs are contracted out as 12-16 month contracts.
I've never had kids but I don't understand how people are able and ready to go back after 6 weeks. That to me is insane. Canada is even considering extending up to 18 months but only paying the year (ie could take reduced payments to carry the amount through the entire period .

Her blog is non existent.. she needs to get her brand and image sorted out and then relaunch. Given her career too she could be so much further ahead in the industry than she is now. She has the ability to do so much but is too lazy. Can't say I've missed wake up this week.

Who in the world was the cohost today. For the parts I listened to all I heard was her obnoxiously sucking up to Taylor about Halloween costumes and how she was going to go out with her ! Thank goodness I wasn't in my car long this morning.
Also how did Sr.Wider go from almost an hour to barely 20 mins. I love wider!

I hate to say it and don't want to be mean. And I am in no way a tooth pick myself. But I think she wears the same thing because nothing fits and she doesn't have the money per say to buy more. She's a pretty girl but with any new ish relationship and comfort comes weight gain. And unfortunately it seems Taylor is a victim of that. And such she is stuck wearing the same few outfits she has that actually fit her...

I hate that Tay gets blamed for Kenny's apathy. He's lazy and doesn't contribute.
I think we need to take it easy on Kenny. He is basically working 3 full time jobs (Sirius, Stand-up and SAHD) and probably not getting quality sleep because of the baby. I still think he's just as funny as always, maybe just a little extra tired. I think he is a wonderful real-life example of how dads today are stepping it up. I really enjoy hearing his stories about Duke and being a parent.
I have to agree with my namesake here... Plus I think there are days where he starts to disagree, holds his own for a bit, then just gives in cause it's the path of least resistance. I'm not blaming Taylor here...as a matter of fact, some people congratulate men for learning this at a young age in their marriages. My hubby and I laugh about it all the time (we are celebrating 20 years of marriage in August). I do get that he's on a national radio show and we would like for him to stand up to T more, but after the year she's had, and what FKCSMom pointed out, I guess we should feel fortunate they are showing up again! Lol! Speaking of showing up...
As for him being out to interview...remember how he said this weekend he was spending his first Father's Day in Manchester, NH and C & D were going with him? My bets are on them leaving early and him being out tomorrow too? I haven't listened to the end of the show but if it was an old interview and Taylor did skip out early, remember she has a wedding this weekend. I bet tomorrow is a 'Greatest Hits'...whomp whomp.
I completely agree regarding the path of least resistance. I had a boss who had a very similar dynamic to how Taylor and Kenny are described above. At first I would give my opinion and speak up on things. I quickly learned it is best to not say anything because by now you know how they are going to react and what the outcome is going to be. So I can un

Anyone else catch Tay in TD's Insta picture at her parents home in PA?
I did. Things like this make me think they are together. I would never bring just a friend of a year or so on vacay to hang with my family out of state.
While I agree it seems odd. A part of me thinks Taylor is just stuck in her high school / college days. She doesn't realize she's a 30 some odd year old woman. When I was younger I always had friends come over to hang out with my family and go on vacations. It's possible, Taylor thinks this is completely normal since she's still stuck in a shell.

Another week and another half assed blog post. Like that she did a fashion find. But why not go in to more detail about the party, what you did or who you mingled with. These types of events have the ability for her to blog multiple days about multiple things and she doesn't!
I would love more insight into her life and what she does in the city. I can understand not wanting to share everything and the potential for radio in the city but for that to be a success you need to be generating new fans. She has the ability to she just needs to focus herself and her "team" to achieve what she wants.

I've been reading this site for a while and finally decided to make an account.
Taylor went on for the last two days about how excited she was about this coworkers space and how her "team" is running out of room to work on things in her apartment, yet she cannot regularly update her blog weekly. I don't understand how you can justify needing space when your not doing anything! I don't think it's going to make her more productive if she can't even do anything now. I would understand if her blog was a daily update, but this is barely weekly. Maybe Matt being her "manager" will help to change things?
