I was thinking the same thing for the entire segment! I was getting so annoyed with callers sharing their own stories. We have been waiting to hear about this moment for the longest time. I wanted to hear about their first kiss, when and how she told her parents, Brett's reaction(if she told him), and if anything happened while she was still with Brett. Also I never heard her once use the word lesbian. Does she identify as a lesbian? If they broke up tomorrow and she was single, would she be looking to date other females?

bleeb, I heard another radio personality come out on air and this is how it goes.  so I think today's show is on a par with how it goes.  people call in with congrats and well wishes.  I personally don't care about the label/identification.  I think in the moment, I am just glad tay is learning what love is
 

So I had to leave the board for a while because it just got so negative I just couldn't.  But I am soooooo beyond excited for this news! and I can't wait for all the stories we will get to hear!

PS - even if just friends I don't think it's weird they shared a swimsuit.

Today was awesome! So happy for them!! I hope the announcement is the start of Tay being like the Tay we all grew to love over the years. Can't wait to hear more details like how her parents reacted and her ichoes and if she told Brett privately or not.

I may be wrong but I swear ~year ago (maybe 3 months post divorce announcement) she said on the radio that she was realizing how important sex was and that with the right person it was awesome. Again, could definitely be wrong.

I remember that too - was it during the sextervention maybe? For some reason I'm remembering wider having this conversation with Taylor.

Did anyone see if The ICHoes commented with any well wishes? So anxious to hear more about the genesis of their relationship like you all mentioned. Also curious if she will sensor herself at all  since Babette listens. It sounds like Tay has grown so much and is at peace with the fact that her life is different than her parents' but that would be hard for me, I think.

you guys!!! so happy for t+t! i haven't listened in a few months but check this board regularly...i laughed so hard at the poll thread about what she would reveal...i definitely thought it was going to be a free t-shirt included in the miami retreat. i saw the speculation on here for quite some time but never believed it myself. but looking back a LOT adds up and makes sense. 

i JUST remembered her talking in the past (several times) about how hard it must be, and how completely insane it is, that people have to actually "come out of the closet." how it's absurd to picture people telling their parents their sexual preferences just because of our society, and that it's unfair since straight people don't have to do the same thing. interesting!!!!

Lauren liked them both but I haven't seen anything from Nicole.
I also find it weird that Babette comments on a lot of Taylor's post but on this one she doesn't.
Considering how big this is it seems telling.
But maybe I'm just reading too much in to it.
Her sister Paige left sweet comments on both Taylor's posts.

 
Yea, I noticed all of that!! Very surprised Nicole hasn't commented/liked. Very sad.

Nicole is the only one I follow, and she's been liking other stuff, not this though. Babette did comment on one of the pics, I think Tays.

I noticed that also... and I know we've heard her talk about a sexual spectrum... so maybe she would go with bi... I mean I get it that she fell in love with a person... not a gender...

Also I bet that she might not want to get pigeon-holed into being a "lesbian radio host" or something like that... she's still same old taylor... 

 


That's a great point. I was happy then annoyed that she didn't come out and say, "I'm gay." It's the same issue she had with Caitlyn Jenner. She wanted her to label herself, but then she backed off of it. So I guess I will too.
