Old/On Demand Shows

Is anyone interested in starting a thread for discussing the shows you listen to On Demand or on Twitter but it might be waaaaaay later than the 'Today's Show' thread timeline? Since it's summer, I find myself traveling a lot and needing to play catch up. But I want to talk about what I hear sometimes! The only 'soft rule' would be that you need to be able to give the date of the show and the hour (if referencing something in particular). Both should be easy since we are probably listening on Twitter and they are divided by hours. It's up to you guys...I thought I'd put it out there to see if there's any interest!

Re: Old/On Demand Shows

Great idea, FKCSTMom.  I hope you get some takers and I'll check in periodically for some laughs since the discussions among this group are very open and civilized, even when there are disagreements (very rare in forum land).

In the old days, when I was really into WUWT, I would have definitely participated but honestly, I really don't care that much anymore.  I'll catch live shows when I can but rarely go back and listen on demand anymore - I'm burned out.  But maybe seeing how you all are loving the older episodes, it will rekindle my flame for WUWT.  Good luck!

Re: Old/On Demand Shows

I agree. I took quite a bit of time off this summer and I don't listen unless I'm at work. It would be nice to know if anything was worth going back to listen to/exactly when. Otherwise, I rarely go back and listen to shows I've missed.

Re: Old/On Demand Shows

I think it's a good idea too!! I've actually been wanting to jot down info on the old shows. I like those better but I forget which are funny and also I'd like to share funny convos with my mom and cousin who are semi interested in the show. Neither like Taylor much but do both like Kenny. I was thinking I could at least share moments that literally made me laugh out loud.
Anyway...rambling...I was thinking of starting a google doc to share on here and people could add show info to it. Idk of that would be something I would like or if others are interested, but it could help out this thread too with what episodes are good lately.

YES!!! Anything that's easy. Although it's also easy for anyone (read: troll in basement) to erase what's been written so Google Doc might not work!

And just to clear up...I wasn't limiting this to 10 years ago or 5 years ago...I was thinking as recently as the beginning of the month. Or for those who may have been catching up after being gone for a long vacation and wanted to 'discuss' topics from the shows they missed. Make sense??

Yes makes perfect sense. I thought my idea and yours could mesh well. I was thinking of going back on the Twitter act but also updating it from day to day and then meeting in the middle. True about the google docs any other suggestions? One the jinx talk ommggg yes I NEED to find that.

You guys are going to put more preparation and time into this than the actual show does. Lol

Love it!

Re: Old/On Demand Shows

You could create a google drive form and then share the link for the form results as view only - then the trolls can't erase anything but everyone is able to add fun stuff from old episodes.

Yes!!! This is perfect!! However, I'm more the Harvard-type (insert HYSTERICAL laughter here!!!!!) with the 'Zach' creative thinking and I literally do not know how to do that. I still haven't figured out (even using the instructions) how to insert a photo! Therefore...can I beg someone who may or may not have gone to Harvard to make the Google drive/doc thing and upload it???? Please???

PS- While I do have a few degrees, they are not close to being from Haaaa-vaaaad. Lol

I'd love to hear old episodes where Brett calls in! If anyone comes across one, please let me know!

Re: Old/On Demand Shows

October 18, 2012 is a good show. T and B had a fight over who's more tired at the end of the day/teasing. Second hour they discuss women being referred to as bitchy or aggressive in the workplace instead of hustling or just doing their job.

Listened to that show that you posted Record_Everything. Wow, the demise of their marriage was easy to predict based on that show.

I know :,( its weird having already heard those shows and to listen again, years later, with Tay being where she is now...it was evident!

I will find the show where kelly cotrone calls in twice before yoga ( who knew she was so funny!) about a dinner party she had hosted and to weigh in on a nuts or not (about a girl who commented on tays IG photo about how good she looked and tay thought it was a back handed compliment and the girl actually calls the show to explain herself) but taylor says that kelly never invited brett to come with tay to any of their dinners, get togethers etc because Kelly always said that B and T would get divorced!

So many moments of "oh wow I see it" from these old shows. It makes me sad for everyone involved.

And also, Tay and Kenny were super hard on steph. I never cared much for her, she did a fab job producing the show but man cant stand her voice. But T and K are very "you cant sit with us" towards steph A LOT.

Hindsight man. Or rose colored glasses?

Re: Old/On Demand Shows

Yes girl, I would love to listen to that particular show if you find it!
Yeah, they definitely were mean behind her back. I think Steph was a bit clueless about it. I can't believe that when Kenny accidentally sent that horrible text about her to her, she still didn't have an inkling.

Taylor and Kenny are the mean girls at the lunch table at work.

What was the text? I don't remember this. I liked Steph. I think she was good at following through with her job, and I really feel like she wasn't afraid to not upset Taylor by giving her negative feedback, which I think is one of the issues that is going on now.

Re: Old/On Demand Shows

The 3 of them were on a group text. Taylor was out that day, and kenny thought he was sending the text to Tay about how he never wanted to have to do a show with Steph ever again, because she was basically useless, and terrible on the air. When Steph received the text, Kenny pretended that he sent it to her on purpose as a joke.

Re: Old/On Demand Shows

Ouch! Kenny can be kind of a mean girl. I hate to hate on Taylor (I really try not to, but sometimes it's hard), but I feel like Kenny does that stuff (aka shit on people) to try to seek her approval, not that he has no responsibility in it. Again, I thought Steph brought balance to the show, but even if not, that is way harsh, Tai.

I want to disagree. I think we (fans and this board) tend to be lenient on Kenny and make Tay carry the brunt of the negativity..... Don't get me wrong, she makes it super easy..... But I think if Kenny wants to be an ass it's by his own choice... I listened to the first show listed on Twitter....and the topic of homeless people came up....I remember how gross Tay can be but hearing him add all his commentary reminded me he is a man with his own voice....Tay isn't playing puppet master...

I definitely agree that Kenny is his own man and should have his own voice. He is responsible for acting like a mean girl when he does. My only point is that it seems like he changes when he's around Taylor, even when hearing him with other guests. It seems to me like he is more than just a yes man to her. He actually seeks her approval by making fun of others. Tay is kind of like the Regina George and he just follows her lead.

With others it seems like he takes more interest in topics that lead to more social issues and a wider variety of topics, but Taylor usually doesn't like to talk about that stuff. I am just kind of extrapolating from what I hear on the air, but does anyone else notice his change of voice and the fact that he usually seems nicer and more open when Taylor isn't hosting with him?

Definitely! Love him & Katie togeather. I also really like him on his own show, with Taylor I pretty much tune him out.

Saying that, loving the talk with Wider & the cookie dough this morning

Re: Old/On Demand Shows

Does anyone know if producer Katie has an instagram??  I would love to follow her.  I think she could bring a lot to the show with her stories.  The fact that she travels all over by herself is fascinating to me.  That girl has got her shit together.  I wish I could go back to my 20's and do that!  I feel like her life experiences could really bring back some of the "old school" flavor to the show.  I'm sure she has tons of stories......

No, she isn't on any social media, except a personal Facebook. They did have a discussion about it, and a poll on Twitter, and it was decided she would get either a Twitter or an IG but she said she didn't like IG because of all the filters. We will see if she changes her mind.

Re: Old/On Demand Shows

I had to work through my lunch break today, so I scrolled through Twitter and picked an old show to listen to. It was 5/20/13. Taylor spent most of the first hour talking about all of the annoying things Brett does. It was pretty entertaining actually...
