Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Sirius is trying too hard to find another comedian. Not, necessary reg people are funny too.
I liked Sheri Sheppard today, yesterday was too much.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I like Sheri but I think she's too big of a personality to be Tay's sidekick instead of the HBIC

Pio - twitter comments are deleted but you need to take down your quoted one too or it's still there

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I only listened for about an hour this morning but from what I heard I thought Sherri was great. She didnt let T talk over her like T often does and I really enjoyed her comments. She and T seemed to mesh well imo.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

SS did not sound like she wanted to be doing WUWT as a full time gig. Tay made some comments in the first hour about coming back all the time and SS didn't seem to into it. Don't blame her- she's too big for wakeup. It looks like Sirius is trying to get some diversity on the show.

I noticed that comment too. Seemed like she wouldn't be interested in doing this as an everyday thing, that's what I took from what she said. I did like Sherri today, but I laughed so much more on yesterday's show. Yamaneika was killing me 😂 She's a big personality but I think once dust settles it wouldn't always be at 100. I also feel the same about RV. There were shows he did with Kenny and he was still funny but a little more calm. I hope they don't do this revolving door of cohorts too long. I'd like to get a sense of where the show is going and get to know that person/persons.

Finally got to listen to today's show. I never knew how much I love Sherri. That was so good!

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I agree. I liked Sherri, but yeah, no way she'd do it without her name headlined.  Maybe she was already in talks with Sirius about her own show and this was a good opportunity to try it out.  I could see her with her own show.  Remember when Gayle King used to have her own show on the Oprah channel?  I hated her, but occasionally listened if it was already on when I got in the car to get other view points.

This morning's show sounded good though!  M...something....But I left my phone at home!

Really liking this woman today. Megan something I think? Another Meredith Vieira co-host.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

So far so good on today's show.
I have to confess that I turned it off Monday and Tuesday... less than thirty minutes in each. Any hour worth going back to listen?

Did Taylor want to play "getting to know you" just so she could talk about her and Taylor? It is pretty cute that she is still so smitten that it's all she wants to talk about.

I think so, and I think its a great way to bring it up. I gasped this morning, after holding my breath for what seemed like for ever....too cute when she finally said it!

So far this has been my favorite combo!

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I'm really enjoying Megan and I think she brings a great tone to the show with her journalism background, while still being down to earth. However, after looking at her website I don't think Taylor would go for her having her as a full time partner. Her website looks like what Taylor is trying to accomplish with hers, but several steps ahead.

For the Record T... https://thesocietypages.org/graphicsociology/2011/10/04/who-is-the-millennial-generation-pew-research/

Could she just go home today and look it up. Chris Rock used to say in his stand up how some folks love not knowing shit. Case and point.

Every source lists the years differently though, I don't think there is a proper answer to it.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I really like Megan and actually felt myself liking her more than Taylor which is sad. I used to love Taylor because there was part of me that always wanted to be like her. From the outside she had the life I wanted: work in entertainment, actually afford a NYC apartment, engaged in Paris, marry an OCD man who keeps a clean home. Those were the things I could relate to. Now though I guess I just can't see relate to her so much and I didnt realize until this week how much I've been listening to the show for Kenny. Without him I still appreciate Taylor for what she's doing (although since it broke off from Cosmo radio I always felt that something was missing), but without him and with Taylor at her current life stage and me in mine, I'm having trouble enjoying. Perhaps I'll get used to it but today really showed me how much more I'd just enjoy a show with someone like Megan.

Hopefully these are just growing pains and once they settle into a new format I'll like it again.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

30 minutes in to today's show.. Not a huge fan Megan. She's far too intelligent to be a cohost on a show like this. I loved the last two ladies much more- adding the comedienne aspect into it helps streamline the already fluffy content. If we are going to chat about petty things, I'd rather have a cohost that can make me laugh.

Also, the amount of times Taylor has said "giiiiirl" these past three days is just....too much.

I wish Dr Wider would be the cohost

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Wait-- I don't know why this didn't occur to me before.
How long will Taylor be in Miami? She said she was making a whole vacation out of the goddess getaway.
Soooo.... a whole week of Best Ofs? See ya!

Megan's Instagram says she has a new tv project coming up. She's also good friends with Yamaneika. Side note: her husband is so handsome!

I think it is wonderful that she is able and comfortable to talk about where she is in her life now, and I also agree that it is cute that she is smitten - but with the new co-hosts (or guests?) this week I have heard the story about how they met, how they were friends, how they got together, came out to their families, etc.....too many times now. Any one agree?

Anyone get sad every time they play "Levels", knowing that was Kenny's favorite? =sniff, sniff=

I"m enjoying it! I'm discovering new people and Taylor bonds with each one of them. I now have Megan's blog bookmarked. They are getting top notch cohosts so far. They can keep this up for awhile as far as I'm concerned.

I love this chick!! I love her with Taylor too.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

So sick of that song "Levels" too.

I think Megan is very good. Actually, I think all the hosts have been doing a great job so far but I like Megan the best. Best fit of them all so far.

Side note....If I hear Taylor complain about being "poor" or just money in general one more time..... She drives me crazy with that BS. And it is BS. She is always on vacation, going somewhere or buying something. Her apartment is super expensive. I can tell from the pics. Parents are rich. Yes I said it....they are rich. They either bought or sold a home in Cohasset a few years back for $2.6 million.

Also, anybody else find it strange that Taylor had to have her parent's and TD's parents meet at Matt's parent's house in the Hamptons??? Why is Matt even involved in this? Can't the parents meet at one of their homes or at a restaurant. Taylor is so obsessed with the Hamptons and being surrounded by wealth. Seriously, does everybody Taylor know come from money???

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I'd be very curious to know if Sirius is also getting feedback about Taylor from these guest hosts.
All of the hosts this week are no strangers to 'the business', right?
T's been on her game this week, but I'm wondering if some constructive criticism will also come up???

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Just wait we will hear the same stories again tomorrow!!!! Can't wait!!!

I was thinking, whoever her new cohost is, will they get top billing on the show? This latest round of women don't seem like they are going to want to be a non co-headliner on a sirius show. They seem like women who want their name on the show, or at least the name of the show changed to like "girl talk" or "women on pop" (which is an ew show I know).

For 10 years Taylor was LUcKY that Kenny never fought for his name to be on the show. That to me is the ultimate roll over and die. He stayed there that long and did all that work to just be a sidekick????? Just to be on Taylor's show? Epitome of their relationship, he let her do whatever she wanted and never wanted to hurt her feelings.

Now with a potential new cohost that will not stand for being a sidekick, I wonder if they will get anyone, if Taylor will even STAND for it, and if the show name will change.

Not sure. My bet is that Taylor will sooner quit then give up the name to another cohost. Thoughts?

I think Kenny knew he'd move on some day. I also don't think these women are auditioning. They seem to have good jobs already. I think they're just filling in until Sirius finds suitable candidates.

Did anyone catch the comment Tay made on the Wider segment about her old cohost who would pass out on air after taking morphine for migraines? Victoria??
