I've totally thought the same thing. I genuinely hope that's not the case, and this is as real as it could get- but her pattern proves otherwise. Did the LSTATS because of Legally Blonde, followed through with Brett because of some Sex and the City-esk similarities. When she joked the other day about OITNB influencing her...it secretly made me go "hmmmmm".

I truly wish her nothing but happiness, and if anything- if her being impressionable lead her down the path of finding real love, whose to knock it- right?

So I never mentioned this before because it didn't make sense, and it was stupid but now I'm thinking that we know she with Taylor 2.0 maybe that is why....
SO, When I was in studio with Taylor and Kenny (I'm the one who they had one because my dad stalked Kenny into getting me in the studio and then they invited me to come up and be on air and share my cancer story) ANYWAY, when I was leaving the studio Tay was asking what I was doing later and if Id be around to possibly meet up for a little, I said yes, and she asked for my number. Her phone was sitting on the board right next to her and went to reach for it, pulled back and handed me a piece of paper to write my number for her. I thought it was weird at the time but didn't know why and now Im wondering if maybe her background was a pic of her and Tay and maybe she thought if I saw it I would add fuel to the fire on here. Could be totally wrong but just wanted to share! What do you think? Yay or nay? LOL Love you Tay!!!

Oh also love you Matt! (I didn't know who he was at the time when I was there, he had started somewhat recently) but he was super sweet to me and had some experiences with cancer (not him and I want to respect his privacy and not give to many details) but he asked for my email so he could send some info to me about good doctors, contacts and info he had. SO NICE!!! Am I right?!?!

Side note: He did come across as shy when he approached me and I'm a regular human girl from NJ lol! But he was so nice! I think and hope working at Sirius and with Taylor will help be more confident because he really did seem like the sweetest person ever!

If this is a terrible theory, just tell me to shut up. But does anyone wonder if mayyyybe the TD relationship is just a publicity stunt? I looked at Matt's Web site today and it lists all the articles about their relationship and I just got a weird feeling. And seeing how desperate Tay is for fame, I wouldn't put it past her. And the "team" all started around when Tay and Tay were supposedly falling in love. Again just tell me to shut it if this is stupid or mean.

To add to this:
1.) It would make an awesome reality show (to them at least). Divorced woman in radio who hated sex before is now in love with a hot lesbian? They probably see dollar signs left and right.
2.) I'm just not buying it! I totally believed in it until this vma crap and I saw how desperate Taylor is!!
3.) Taylor is desperate for fame and wealth and has a young ambitious kid with money and connections whispering things in her ear to train her on how to become famous...

Eta ~ This is the woman who still can't say penis on the air after 10 years, she couldn't fake this relationship if it was for millions in cash and the chance to stay in bed, drink procecco and eat BBQ all day.

I have thought this as well! After all, if fame is what she wants she is certainly getting it lately...and a lot of the attention around her stems from her relationship with TD.

But...maybe it's the real thing and she's truly happy...she is the goddess of authenticity you know

Nothing wrong with some healthy skepticism. This is something I would have no problem being wrong about. But I definitely see what you ladies are saying. Tay 10+ years ago compared to today is night. and. day. People are allowed to change and grow, but usually it's for the better. Tay is coming across so fame-hungry and has developed such a chip on her shoulder, it's hard to believe she is being authentic.

But then I think about how sensitive Tay is about things and I don't quite buy it that she's faking this relationship.

I don't think it's fake, I do however think it is a phase for Taylor, and she is capitalizing on the fact that being "fluid" is so big right now. As long as TD is ok with that, with apparently she is, then no big deal I guess. But I do think this relationship is a phase for her.

That's how I feel- in no way happy or relaxed in the photos. And for someone who is a self-proclaimed lover of PDA, she is so stand-off-ish in photos. I've never heard her say a genuine or valid reason for loving TD- just long legs, blonde hair, and talent. We all know she is using her for the talent and for all of he recent publicity. She said the other day she's sick of having to repeat the story of her and TD... Doesn't seem that way in all of the press.

I think she is confusing friendship for being in love

This is what I think it is. I'm sure she has a like for TD....but I think the fame she's getting from it is a driving force on continuing it.

She is pretty transparent IMO after being a decade long listener..... She focuses a lot of the discussions around what's going on in her life....for example the celeb contract relationship talk.... The "if I break up I will go back to men" etc...

Remember when Tay was going through her divorce (but we didn't know it yet) and she was pissed that a friend was getting set up with bradley cooper (I think) when the friend knew taylor was into him? This would have been around the time she was "falling in love" with TD. I don't think Taylor is gay. I think she is very lost and confused.

Lost and confused is a great way to describe her right now. Even outside of her relationship with TD, Taylor has admitted to changing herself to conform to the people she's friends with/dating. Tell tale sign of someone who doesn't really know who they are or have a strong identity, which also comes with a healthy dose of insecurity.

We're all a work in progress, but it makes me kind of sad for her that at 32 she hasn't been able to develop a better sense of self.

I could see Tay being in love with the idea of T2, but not actually the person. Same how she was with Brett. She saw opportunity and a new lifestyle with Brett, and got married for the wrong reasons. I think being in a relationship with T2 right now is what she needs. It clearly is helping her career, and probably does provide a lot of emotional support that she wasn't getting with Brett. I believe that this relationship is real. But I think it's temporary. Some other kind of opportunity will come along and it will end. Sadly I don't think this is forever.

Yes. She was talking about what a catch he is and she kind of assumed he would go for her if she was just given the chance.

I thought it was somebody like Chris Evans???..... not Bradley Cooper. Whoever the guy was had flirted with her previously while she was married with Brett. After she separated/divorced she was pissed because her friend was going on a date with him and knew that she had the hots for him.

To add to this though..... any time she interviews a male on the show it ends up very bethos and uncomfortable. I believe she focuses on flirting and "being cool" and it comes across as awkward and uncomfortable. She puts way to much energy into that for someone in to lady parts nowadays.

This is also why I don't think that she could handle another male cohost.

It seems that this dream team of hers aligned during separation/divorce, which is shady time-wise. I think that TD and Matt were friends prior to meeting Tay. There is some kind of Main Line Philly or Georgetown connection between them. So, Tay's girl crush obsession with TD resulted her with meeting Matt. He may have been a fan of the show for years, but all the sudden he showed up this past year with a PowerPoint? No way. He was introduced as friend of TD. Now they run her life. Weird.
