Related: I'm looking for solo trips! I am over of trying to coordinate with my friends (it just makes it so stressful. My schedule is so last minute and I can't always make everyone play the waiting game). I saw Santa Fe is a nice location for a solo trip...anywhere you ladies have traveled alone that you enjoy? I need some R&R on my next trip, but I'd love to try a tour group too.

I did Italy for a few days by myself before meeting up with a group of friends. Great transit system and if you're into people watching, tons of little outdoor cafes & restaurants to that!
A friend is doing Thailand alone in the winter. She found a round trip ticket for $600, now is planning the rest. I've been there and there were tons of groups of people, so should be able to meet up with some pretty easily I think.

How many days do you think you need for Sonoma valley?? Is that like a long weekend. Or 5 plus days?

I did Napa not Sonoma. We flew into San fran spent 2 days there then rented a car and drove. We stayed there for 3 days and that was great and enough. I know they are different but I'm sure Sonoma has the hot air balloon rides. We did that for sunrise immediately to a vineyard tour and it was awesome. I could suggest more but they would be Napa specific and wouldn't help. I will also say we couldn't afford more than 3 days. We didn't do things super fancy but did what we wanted and I'd say between room at a nicer b&b, going in sept, the tours and wineries it came to about 6k. I'm out after spending more than that on booze. Great trip though. Disney for adults.

Thanks for the tips! I was thinking Sonoma Bc I heard it is more affordable than Napa?

If you go to San Fran, Tahoe is only four hours away. We did the opposite and went to Tahoe for a few days and then did a long day trip to San Fran and to Napa Valley. Fun trip!

I loved Rome! The Coliseum was so amazing to see in person, and the Vatican was beaufiul. Make sure to cover your shoulders if you go though.

I did a white water rafting trip in Utah with Western River Expeditions by myself. It was a big tour group of families but very affluent ones since its a pricey trip. But I loved it...each night a different family asked me to camp with them. They were all so nice...asked about me and dating stories. They loved the stories! Probably made them thankful they were married! Oh and the guides are mostly cute LDS boys that were easy to look at! lol!

Have you ever been to Cape Cod? September and early October are absolutely beautiful - not crowded and you can still swim a bit before it gets too cold. A nice whale watch, a trip to Nantucket, some fried clams and then finish up in Boston for a day or two.
Some other New England Favorites: Kennebunkport, ME, Woodstock, VT, Berkshires, Newport, RI

are you VRBO'ing it? what part of the island? I need to know if the "locals" get like cheaper food? Also regarding Denver, do they have any winery's there? my original plan for a winery tour in Cali just got the kibosh, so i'm thinking about extending my Denver trip next summer instead.

I love to travel but mostly go with my husband and son. If I were to travel alone I would do something relaxing with a great spa, like Scottsdale Arizona.

Santa Fe is beautiful and visiting The native Americans in Taos was eye opening. It's beautiful and relaxing with lots of art galleries and awesome food.

Iceland! Snowmobiling on glaciers, dog sledding the blue lagoon. Iceland is very safe so it's fine to go on your own. However there are also group trips you can join. Longer trip if you live on the west coast but about 6 1/2 hours from the mid west 5 1/2 from the northeast.
