YES!! This!!!
I would love to know if Sirius is getting feedback from any of these co-hosts?!?

Re: "News" stories

I wonder if Sirius is looking for new hosts, and that's why the rotation? Not for WUWT, but maybe women for other spots/stations? A lot that have been on are strong women who seem to have pretty extensive resumes.

She didn't coin wasband though, right?

Re: "News" stories

No, she said she stole it from a guest.

I think they are auditioning for a replacement for Taylor. I have a weird feeling that one of these ladies will be getting their own morning show and WUWT will be no more.

Re: "News" stories

I know I'm new here, but I've been listening for 10-11 years now so I'm legit. (hate that it says "might not be legit" under my name!) Anyway, we all know Taylor wants to be famous, and she admits all the time she wants to be famous, and now she has an angle to help her get there - a well-timed, interesting love life angle. Why not? Even though the interviews are similar and she's saying label-less all the time, and we're sick of wasband, I think she's totally brave talking about it so much. There are certainly fame motives involved (everyone loves cute lipstick lesbians!), but why not try to do good for the LGBTQ community while she's climbing and hustling? Who cares if she's saying label-less versus bisexual? Whatever, right?

Welcome to the club, girl! 😉

Just wanted to clarify that I don't think she needs to say gay, straight, bi, whatever - I honestly could not care less who she is dating. I actually wish she would stop talking about it all together unless she is going to tell some new stories. It just annoys me that she seems to think she came up with the concept of No labels. And now with the D-list press tour, I guess I just think the whole concept of not using labels seems to convey that it is a non-issue (which i agree with!), so let's move it along already. More than anything, I want to love the show again, but that isn't gonna happen until we get some fresh content and stop rehashing the same stories and topics everyday.

PS. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the more you post, you will eventually move out of "might not be legit" status! ✌🏼️💕

Re: "News" stories

I agree...new stories! And I'm totally with you - I want to love the show again. It's kind of stuck in a whirlpool right now and doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Sad...but I'm still hopeful!
Thanks for the welcome!

That's very much how I feel, I keep getting more and more annoyed though. I tried taking a break and coming back, but really no better. I did really like the host today though!

"Wasbund" is/was cute but yesterday was the first time I've heard her say where she got it from and she didn't even have the respect to say the NAME of the guest who coined the term, used it in her book and gave her permission to steal it from her! At least give the person credit by name for one of the unique terms that comes out of your mouth 50x show if someone comments on it!!!

Wasbund was used in a book? I could have sworn a listener called in and used it. However I am guilty of half listening during the majority of the show lately so I'm probably wrong.

Re: "News" stories

Not sure who she was interviewing who used it, but here it is in an article in 2011. There was also a movie with the same name that year.

Wasbands & Wives

Re: "News" stories

From what I can see, "wasband" dates back to at least 1990. There was even a librarian who tried to have it added to the dictionary. She originally thought she and a friend came up with the term but then learned it had been already out there for awhile.

This one came out a few weeks ago. She talked about it on the show a few times.

If I didn't have "Sometimer's" I might be able to recall the name of the guest she was interviewing but I'm almost positive she (it was a female obviously) was a comedian and it was about 5-6 months ago. She was being interviewed about her book, I am pretty sure (I have vague memories of wanting to read it and I do remember that I really enjoyed the guest!) when she said "wasband" and Taylor JUMPED on it, the guest said she uses it in her book. I am positive it wasn't a caller. Now it's going to bug me because a great show would have a list posted (hint, hint) of all the books, movies, places, etc they've promoted and I could have looked it up! Lol

Re: "News" stories

I remember the guest but can't remember her name either. But I'm not sure she was the one to come up with the term. It's in urban dictionary. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=wasband

Re: "News" stories

I'm pretty sure it was Faith Salie. She's a regular on Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me. Taylor kept saying her last name wrong. On Wait, Wait they pronounce it "Say-lee" but Taylor kept saying "Sally."

Re: "News" stories

I'm sorry... I didn't mean to imply that the guest came up with it. And Taylor even asked if she could use it when she heard it the first time. I don't know why it bugs me. Just add it to the list. But thanks for the name of the guest!!!

Re: "News" stories

To be fair, the exercise content is:

"Ms. Taylor Strecker: It’s called the wine exercise:Step 1: walk to the store to buy two bottles of wine.Step 2: put one bottle in each hand and do curls on the walk back home, get that heart rate up. Step 3: from the elevator to my front door do lunges with wine in the center to balance you.Step 4: pop the cork with an old school bottle opener that will enhance your triceps.Step 5: Always reward yourself post work out–I recommend doing so with a glass of wine."

I was just looking at that! I didn't see any exercises listed though? They must have forgotten to write about her extreme couch-sitting and water aerobics in the bathtub.

She admits to being a fame-whore on Stassi's podcast... Narcissistic fame-whore.  Sounds about right.  She's so effing gross.  Feel free to #flameaway at me for saying that, but she is.

A third grader could have written a better article than that. I'm mortified for both Taylor and the author.

And seeing Taylor pictured next to legitimate athletes who actually work out on their IG page is hilarious 😂

Re: "News" stories

So they are taking the all press is good press to heart. This doesn't even go with anything she advocates. She hates working out. The other women in those pictures work so hard for their body and health.

I also love how she says in the article how important it is to be authentic...yet she's doing an interview for a health and fitness site. Riiiiiiight.

Yes! Thank you! Why is she in all these women's health and fitness magazines??? Taylor does fuck all when it comes to health and fitness. I don't get it at all.

Re: "News" stories

Some of these "media" outlets will publish anything if you write it for them.  They want the content but don't have the staff to do real stories - they need to fill space everyday though.  This has Matt written all over it (remember the comment during the other interview - how do you manage all your fame, or something inane like that?)  I love how they just took photos from other sources for the article.
