Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

My fiancé is probably a lot like Brett as far as decisions.
We are planning our wedding and he is very involved and I actually welcome it. He comes to appointments and makes spreadsheets to keep us organized. I am indecisive and get stressed out easily, so his input has been greatly appreciated. Of course there are certain things he doesn't care about; dress colors, centerpieces, linen.... But as far as our photographer, venue, DJ, food and drinks -- yeah, he cares.
And when we first started dating, he bought a house and we both decorated. Everything is a team effort.  I don't know why Tay hated that part... I think it's kind of nice.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

We all have baggage that we bring to our relationships.  It requires a great deal of vulnerability to admit our brokenness. Without this, destructive patterns can't be broken. Acknowledging the truth of our childhood gives us the chance to have those unmet needs met. I grew up in a very controlling and chaotic home. I learned that I must control or be controlled. My husband can tell me to "hurry up" and I'm triggered and feel controlled. Those with a different childhood experience would not be bothered by these words.   Taylor takes ZERO responsibility for her failed marriage. Actually, I have  never heard her admit one relational strength or weakness on  the air. This is  why I think Carin sucks, as this is her job! Anyway, Taylor will continue the cycle of having idealistic expectations in any relationship(regardless of gender) and be greatly disappointed when real life sets in.

I wondered if anyone thought Taylor sounded fairly bitchy and controlling when she was discussing the Christmas decorations (and that led into decorating in general) with the co-host Debutante Farmer on Tuesday?
First, she threw T2 under the bus for hanging up multi-colored lights, then went on to say that people who hang them are "trash." (Hopefully she doesn't listen!) That segued into more Brett drama from back in the day when he got involved in her decorating decisions. It is still an issue with her that he had opinions about their million dollar apartment (and wedding)...and she said (god, I wish I had the exact words but this was almost it...) he needed to "let her make the decisions and he could pay for it."

I am fortunate that I have a husband who declines to pick out just about everything...he's more of a "please don't make me do that" kind of guy. But I would NEVER look at him, or refer to him as basically a walking checkbook that needs to shut the hell up when it comes to input on anything. AND, why is she all for equality but only in certain cases??

That girl is a walking, talking dichotomy!

Totally agree in Taylor's situation where he was paying for everything (including the housekeeper) and did genuinely have an opinion.

Lol my husband generally can't be bothered but will make the occasional blanket statement that our house is too feminine. It drives me nuts when he does that because I'm the one who did all the work to decorate it in the first place, and when I've said to him "then go to Homegoods on your day off and pick out new shit", he never does. Sooo you want to complain but don't want to do the work to fix it. 😑 He also never cleans - I'll get really mad at him about it and he'll get better for like, a week, so now I just tell him "if I'm cleaning/dusting the stuff, I get to say what the stuff is." It also helps that we pretty much make the same amount of money.

I just went through this with my husband. His biggest complaint is clutter. Heaven forbid if he organized or put something back where he found it. Cannot park in the garage...lol. I stopped asking for buy-in on furniture or decorations. Mine really doesn't care just wants to make an opinion. I also think that making the same levels the playing field. I don't feel guilty about buying anything.

She is jealous of everyone! Her bitterness and jealousy really make her have blinders on. If she would focus on her own happiness, she would realize she has a pretty charmed life. Happy people aren't as mean as she is.

I so miss the old days when Taylor would get back from vacation and would have a million funny stories from her trip. Now there's nada. It feels like we were friends at one point and aren't anymore

Even hearing Tay talk about Kenny's numerology theories had me cracking up. That is my favorite Kenny quirk. Oh how I miss him...

Her "kids with flying" talk was disgustingly entitled.  People have to fly with their kids all the time.  Get over it.  There are lots of very valid reasons to fly with kids and none of them are any of her business.

I was getting so annoyed with that conversation. if you got upgraded FOR FREE...why are you mad b/c they PAID for the kids and themselves to fly in first class. they have more right to be there then you, who probably complained about something and threw a childish fit or what she used to do (call Brett to fix it for her w/his credit card). Get over yourself. ugh, so mad.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I liked Tay with Mike Cannon today. i think the show is great with the girl/guy dynamic. Carly is also great with her.  I just wish they'd go with one person and keep it consistent. Some days are much better then the other ones.

Lori Brigamatto, Carly, Rob Schooter and Mike Cannon are my favorites. And even Katie as a 5th cohost. I would also like to hear taylor and the other producer Adam talk some more. I like his voice.

Otherwise I'm not a huge fan of the others..... the debutant farmer is great as a segment but not for 3 hours imo.

Also no more toof talk, or unnecessary doctor segments (except Wider and Anolik)....and I'm over the love psychic......

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Just a thought. I was listening on demand to Tay and ***** Jobs, who is fine in small doses but that constant laughing is too much. I don't get how a girl from New York can sound so much like she's from the Valley...but I digress. Has anybody noticed that when Taylor is having a hard time with a co host she plays 'Cake by the Ocean' . I think its a bat signal to Kenny to let him know she's missing him particularly hard at that moment. Thoughts...

I almost died laughing when Tay read the piece about Jerry Seinfeld's real name, and she thought Jerome was pronounced Jer-o-may!!

I haven't listened in months, the constant eating (and I'm sure mics covered in food) is part of the reason I stopped.

I'm just listening to this segment now.  When I was on a Southwest plane this holiday season, a 2 year old in the back seat was throwing a tantrum before take off.  The flight attendants tried to calm the child down but when they were unsuccessful they asked the family of the child to leave b/c the child was being too disruptive to passengers!  I was shocked!  I never heard of this policy before but this might be a new thing on planes in general not necessarily for the first class folks.  All of the passengers around the child including myself convinced the flight attendant to let the family stay on the flight and all was well.  The child screamed the entire time but we got free drinks because of it

Sometimes I think Taylor demonizes people with children because of her own insecurities about her indecision to have kids of her own someday.

That's really interesting that they would ask the family to leave- I've never really thought about it, but I guess one could argue that an adult whose behavior was equally disruptive would almost certainly be thrown off the plane. Obviously the argument is that a child shouldn't be held to an adult standard, but at what age do the airlines draw the line on who gets a pass for bad behavior because they're a child? I mean a tween/teen definitely knows better. Since it's such a gray area and everyone is sue-happy these days I'm surprised they asked them to leave!

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Speaking of flying, let me know what you ladies think about this one. I flew from NYC to LA this weekend (and before we got on the flight we were told instead of flying direct we'd have to make a refueling stop due to bad weather. So our 6.5 hour flight would become 9 hours and we wouldn't be able to get off the plane). The woman in the row behind me booked herself and her  4 kids (I'm terrible at age, but maybe 8, 6, 3, 2) with all middle seats, and we had to shuffle around everyone's seats to get the family all together. I wasn't personally affected (other than witnessing this), but one guy was pretty pissed he was asked to move from the aisle and be put in a middle seat to accomodate the family (several people were moved from aisles or windows and into middle seats). It was unfortunate all around, especially given we were on a plane for 9 hours and not able to get off during refueling. Who was in the wrong here?

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

So I haven't listened to the show in a long time.... I can't even remember the last time. Anyway, I was on snapchat and saw that Stassi was in the studio, so I turned it on from on demand. I'm less than an hour in and it's an instant reminder of why I don't listen anymore. Taylor is telling a story about an elementary school friendship falling apart. Spoiler alert: We've all heard it a million times. Seriously!? How does she still hold on to such old grudges? I mean, in all fairness, this segment was about ex friends, but seriously... Get some new material. Holy fuck.

The family who booked the flight. They should of requested seats together.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

And if they couldn't get seats together, tough. I mean they can ask the people around  politely if they'll switch but it shouldn't be mandatory. I never switch. Well I might if it was for a child. But once I was with my husband with seats together and said no to switch so another couple could sit together. Like no way.
