I'm just now listening to today's discussion on the women's day strike. I find it funny that Taylor had no interest in the march last month, but is in complete support of something that gives her an excuse to stay holed up in her apartment all day. I don't think her stance has anything to do with feminism. She just wants a free day to stay home and be lazy.
But she can wear red! The whole conversation was laughable. She's no feminist so I don't know why she's saying she is. How does she know she's paid less at Sirius? And if she is, she's no Howard. Maybe it's actually based on ratings and performance. Not on your gender.

It was laughable. You can tell how out of touch she is when she suggests it's no big deal to take a day off work. When I worked retail, if you called out without a doctor's note, you were fired. I was in college so didn't care much, but for the single moms (and dads) it was a big deal if they needed to leave work for their kids. Not to mention every single hour of pay matters when you're trying to support a family on minimum wage.

I was laughing at the same thing! She kept trying to argue that she wouldn't be supporting the cause if she showed up, and Ms. Co-host Refinery 29 said that she could, by using her voice to discuss the the issues. But Taylor wasn't having that argument (at that time). I'll be curious to see if she came in.
On a second point...I truly think SHE thinks she should be paid the same as Howard. Or Andy Cohen. She's comparing herself to men like that on the radio and saying there's inequality in pay. That point is utter bullshit, my friend. Complete and utter BS. Just think about who they are in the grand scheme of things vs. radio. Has nothing to do with gender in this case.

Taylor said she doesn't read her Sirius email. How is that even possible? I'm pretty sure if I told my company I wasn't going to read my email because they make me change the password too often, I'd be fired.

I thought the exact same thing! Um....didn't realize not checking my email was an option. WTF.

Take note, Taylor.

It's funny how transparent Tay is. Yesterday she told a story about a "friend" in her 50s, and it was obviously her Mom, and today she told a story about a male friend who was clearly her brother Zach. Neither story was incriminating-I wish she would just be forthright. We all know who she's talking about most of the time!

I have been a listener for 8 years and silent reader of this board. Like so many others, I have been enjoying Tay a little less every day despite loving some of the guest hosts (Rob Shuter). This episode was the straw that broke the camel's back. It is a very sad day, and just un-favorited the show on my Sirius app and un-followed all WUWT and Taylor social media. I will no longer listen. Sometimes I agree with Tay, and sometimes I don't which is a reason that I loved the show. However, I thought the way she treated her callers/listeners/customers who disagreed with the strike was disgusting. She is very supportive of those who agree with her but is rude, cold, and dismissive to those who (very politely) are offering a different opinion. How would she feel if people treated her that way for her opinions? She is only supportive of women who agree with her at that moment in time, not all women.
Sorry for the rant, but I'm sad and disappointed.

Welcome to the dark side, Former Fan! I, like a lot of others on this board, feel the same. We WANT the show to be better, we want success for Taylor but honestly, it feels like we want it more than she does. Her sorority/party-girl persona is not attractive on an adult woman. I haven't listened for months (except when I see something especially egregious here and have to check it out). She seems desperate for reality show "fame" but honestly, she's not nearly interesting or compelling enough for that, despite her sucking up to Andy Cohen at every opportunity.

I stopped listening as well. I stopped after Kenny left and then came back a few months later to make another attempt to listen. I think I've just outgrown Taylor. She is mentally stuck in her 20s. Which is fine, but not for me. I used to listen because I found her and kenny so entertaining and the show made me laugh. Now that he's gone, she can't carry the show and doesn't offer even light entertainment for me. I'ver moved on to other shows and podcasts that make me laugh and inspire me

No the other day she said they are moving from a 1-bedroom to a studio

"I've tried to be as nice as I can about my divorce". How? By bashing Brett's family every single day on air? Interesting....

To save money? Living in a studio apartment with a significant other sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Nah that's basically what they live in now. This new place is only 100 square feet smaller I believe she said? I thought it wasn't in manhantan though? Could be wrong on that.

She's moving to a different apt in the same building. From a 1 bedroom to a studio(or bachelor, as we say in Canada).

Wow I am so surprised to hear this. Is a studio smaller than a one bedroom? I would think it is.

I was also wondering since I don't listen as deeply and consistently as I used to but did Taylor ever discuss her surprise party? I've only heard it brought up by the cohosts saying they were invited but she seems to sketchily glaze over it...
Offline
Yes, a studio is smaller. I guess she felt her rent was too high, and the size difference wasn't significant, just fewer dividing walls. She barely talked about her surprise party, just to say that it happened.

Listening to this mornings show, God I love Carly!! But did anyone think it was kind of weird when they were on the topic of guys they would never date? I'd think Taylor should've made the subject "type of people you'd never date" not specifically males. She is all about gender equality, love is love, blah blah blah but totally excluded women who date women. Just found it a little odd

"How am I not a feminist?? I'm gay!"....(deep sigh). Wow.
(I apologize in advance for the crassness of this comment), but eating your girlfriend's pussy does not make you a feminist, Taylor.
Shall we reiterate all the shitty things you've ever said about Erin Andrews or Amber Heard? Or Mischa Barton, yesterday? Or your unabashed adoration for Tom Brady who is a cheating sack of shit who left his pregnant girlfriend for a VS model? Or the fact that you believe "hot" women can't be trusted to be nannies, or maids, or secretaries? Or the fact that you couldn't put down your wine for a second to vote in an election that pitted potentially our first female president vs. a total misogynist? Where were you during the Women's March again? I bet it was somewhere that involved your bathtub or bed and wine!
Oh, but you wore red pants that one day, so....
Pathetic.

So Taylor needs a new cleaning lady. Why does she need a cleaning lady for a small NYC apmt???? Plus, isn't she moving into a smaller place with TD. How lazy can they be. And I thought Taylor has no money as she likes to so often proclaim. WTF...I don't think it's possible for Taylor to be any more of a phony.
On a side note...Why is TD in the studio during the show? Who brings their manager and girlfriend to work all the time. I just don't get it. Kenny got out at the right time.

That comment made me so mad! Gay does not equal feminist. I think the fact that she doesn't vote (in addition to the constant slut-shaming and woman-blaming) is what makes me most angry. People fought for you to have that right - use it! If you care about women's issues then go vote for candidates who support their causes.

This is awesome- your comment made me gag and LOL simultaneously.😂
And you're absolutely right, because by that logic, Trump is also a feminist - we've all heard him talk about just how much he likes pussy!
