I was wondering too if she knew about the baby. I almost thought she'd mention it on widers segment. I feel like if we know then she should. She talks to Wider once a week (though idk if she says anything off the air)
Ugh the movie premier lol that was ridiculous.
I really Think she constantly compares herself. Like she's said she's not looking to get married again yet & is happy but STILL had to make that weird comment about Paige getting engaged. I think she hates on ppl w kids sometimes because she thinks she SHOULD have them by now. I just find it so odd that she does this...expresses that she doesn't want something but then wants it or hates on it hard, as if she's jealous of those with it. Like her friends that have kids. Can't think of anything else right now but there's a decent amount of other things she acts this way toward too. .

I really think it's sad. From the outside it looks like she has everything. I hope she finds happiness or at least allows herself to lead a different life separate from the illusions and expectations she believes her parents have for her and she has for herself.
All I thought when I saw the insta posts about Paige's engagement was how Taylor has a claw clip holding her hair up. Might as well be a scrunchie. Lol for gods sake cut your hair

Taylor is so cheap when it comes to tipping delivery people.

can we please stop having doctors on. an ER doctor?? really? how is this related to the show!???!?

I agree! I think dr jake is married to brian atwood...remember the hat Easter party they went to. Taylor wants to stay cozy in that group so i doubt they'll ever take him off the schedule. I don't mind him, I also like the dermatologist they have on. I could live without the dentist and the plastic surgeon. oh and at first liked that psychologist (who wrote the don't put your shit in your kid's diaper book) but he's not great on radio and I'd much rather listen to Dr. Jenn.

I agree. It can be annoying, but tipping is part of life here. If she doesn't want to do it, she should go pick her food up.
I also thought it was strange that she said she hates when guys are rude to servers. Clearly she isn't as self-aware as she thinks she is! Unless that pizza situation was an isolated incident, she's extremely rude to service people, or "the help", as she liked to say.

She said she ordered from a fancy place that charged her $90. She tipped $5. FIVE DOLLARS?! If you're going to get extravagant delivery then you need to tip the appropriate amount. If you can't afford a reasonable tip then you should be ordering $20 Chinese food.

I think it was the Greek place they had in for foodie finds one day? I remember her saying she ordered from them all the time. Since she's had the owner (or maybe chef?) on the show, you'd think she would make more of an effort to treat the employees well.

Here's my question - where are all these people "freaking out" about Tay taking a few days off expressing their displeasure? I don't think anyone on here was particularly angry over it? There were questions about where she was, but did I miss the freak out posts? I can't see the visitor posts to the Facebook page anymore (is this just me or did they take that function off??), but I can't imagine many people posting to the page when it's so inactive. And would anyone really email a complaint like this? Just curious if her tangent about needing vacation is legit. (I get it, girl! You take your vacay!)

The configuration has changed; I too was confused at first.
Look to the left column with Home, About, Photos, etc.
Select "Posts," and the "Visitor Posts" will appear on the right as before.

Stassi has made mention how rude she is to waitstaff. She's told her about it a few times.... both on that pizza periscope and the podcast

Here comes my tipping rant:
I thought her whole tipping argument was BS. When she was saying that she knows better than any driver in NY how to get anywhere it made me laugh... so, this from the woman who is mostly (admittedly) driven (like Miss Daisy) by Matt? A "professional" cab driver can't do their job right, but if a cab driver came in her studio and said they could do her job...oh no, no, no! Trust me, I know that not all cab drivers are perfect, but she said an absolute. HER way is always the best way.
I think Taylor forgets that a lot of the people answering at our beck and call are paid very little BECAUSE their employers know they will be getting tips. And I think in some restaurants (help me out here...), the waitstaff have to split their tips with some of the other people involved in the meals (i.e. Dishwashers or ???).
She also said she ALWAYS gives 5 stars on Uber. Didn't she talk about a fight in an Uber before and not giving 5 stars? And another time when the driver tried to get her number and she didn't give him 5 stars either? (This was all before her segment on honesty where she said she NEVER lies anymore 🙄🙄😳).

So I don't listen anymore...RIP twitter link...I don't get food deleviries because of my house location, anyways. You know what annoyes me the most about tipping? When you order from a food bar, or line like subway, and those people ask for Tips. Wtf? I am standing while waiting, filling my own water and bussing my table. Why the F do you need a tip? I hope labor laws protect those people for getting like $3/hour, but they are not waiters. Sorry.

I think this is a good way to go about things. Places like Subway, Starbucks, etc. I rarely leave a tip because they aren't really doing anything beyond what is required in their job description. There are two exceptions: 1. If I am being a total diva and have a lot of requests/requirements when ordering, and 2. If I see them being mistreated by a customer ahead of me and I feel bad for them.
That said, I have worked in restaurants for 15 years, and being rude to waitstaff and/or undertipping is such a G.D. asshole thing to do. Especially when you know she's difficult to handle as a customer. Servers work damn hard and oftentimes are more educated than she is! I have a B.S. in biology and chem and am working on another, one of my coworkers was a pharmacist in her home country, and another has a master's degree in economics from her home country (we have lots of international transplants ). Additionally, servers talk amongst themselves at not only their own establishment but also with their other industry friends. I'm willing to bet that when she walks into her regular restaurants whatever server ends up with her groans and tries to bargain with the person seating her to not put her in their section. While she may feel that a 10-15% tip isn't so bad, 15% is no longer standard gratuity--we're now up at 20% for good service.
Aagh.

so i live in the mid west in a small town with mostly chain and small local establishments. I thought tipping on a food delivery was like law of the land. I would never skip out on a food delivery tip. Pizza delivery drivers live off their tips (I think). I tip at my local coffee shop to help support the small business and I tip at sit down restaurants. I especially tip a lot when I have local businesses deliver food. I don't tip at Starbucks or if I pick up my food. She was being ridiculous about the tipping and I liked that Lori tried to argue with her.

I do tip 20%, but why does the percentage keep going up? Since it's a percentage, tipping should be able to keep up with inflation as the cost of the food goes up. 10% used to be standard, then 15, 18, and now 20. When does it end?

At what point is having absolutely shitty service an acceptable reason to leave a little tip? I always hear like you don't know what they are going through in the back. Which is correct, but if your actions or in actions alter my dining experience, why should you get a normal tip? I've been thinking about this a lot lately because I've had some seriously shitty experiences in the last 2 weeks and I'm over giving my hard earned money away. When I mean shitty, like food spilled on me and then when I'm shocked about it and upset, but not irate, I'm told how to wash clothes. Or not given the little dishes at the hibachi place so I couldn't enjoy the additional sauces they normally offer.

I don't have an answer per se but what I feel about the situation where the problems may not be the server's fault is whether or not they acknowledge it. If there's a problem/something takes forever and they don't say something like "sorry your food is taking so long- they accidentally made your steak well done instead of rare", or whatever, then it makes me think they are letting my food sit under the heat lamp. But honestly food taking a long time isn't what usually bothers me- it's things that I'm pretty sure they are in almost complete control of, like asking for another fork, more water, etc.

If the service is really bad then no, you shouldn't have to tip well. Just be aware of things that may be outside of the server's control: Your food is taking a long time, you don't like what you ordered, you're crabby because you had a long wait, you didn't like the bartender, etc. Unfortunately servers tips are often affected by the customer's mood and/or things the server has no control over.
Spilling food on a customer without even offering/insisting to pay for dry cleaning definitely warrants a low tip. Like, 10%.

I thought the same thing! I posted asking why she'd taken off (on here) & then she and TD posted at dif places so I was confused. Anyway I don't think anyone here was freaking out & I saw a person or 2 asking when she'd be live again on instagram but no freak outs lol

It's funny because I agree 100% about places like subway. My uncle used to own 2 subways and I worked summers as a teen. They paid me pretty well and I would never ask for tips. I'm literally making a sandwich and preparing the ingredients in the back, which I got paid for. Anyway they had a tip box and I was shocked at the amount of tips I received! I would leave a shift with $30+ in tips. From subway! I really think that was crazy! I don't feel it necessary to tip at subway or Starbucks. I almost never do, but I guess there must be a lot of people out there that think they should.

Surprise me topic of the day was about awful in laws. We all know Taylor has many. This one confuses me, though--she said her bridesmaid refused to wear the dress she picked out, so she had to change her whole color scheme. She said it was supposed to be be pink and green, but she had to change it to black so her bridesmaids could have their dresses made. I swear the dresses were pink. Did anyone else hear this? I had to have misheard, or she totally forgot what her wedding party looked like. Am I crazy?
