Re: Houston Little EFFFers

I'm curious if we have any Houston little effers! I may be moving there and this East Coast girl is nervous, but excited.

Re: Houston Little EFFFers

I'm not in Houston but I live in San Antonio.  I used to travel to Houston a lot for work and have friends from there if you have any questions.  It's a great city and really fun!

Lived here for 25 years. What are you worried about?

Going out on a limb here...If you are worried about the recent flooding due to the hurricane, all I can say is that no matter where you are, there is always the potential for some devastating event to occur. One thing I can say is that atleast we get advanced warning of hurricanes unlike tornados and you can get out. Flood insurance is pretty cheap. So don't let some ahole named Harvey scare you.

Now if you are worried about bad hair days due to the humidity, I can't help you there. I can say that Houston is a pretty friendly laid back city.

Re: Houston Little EFFFers

Hi I live in Houston. Got just enough water to make it miserable, but not as bad as some people have it down here. Nutsornot, let me know if you need help in picking general areas if you move down here. There are some definitely  places to avoid for flooding. Some flood all the time. Harvey was a weird storm and places that never have flooded before got hit. As tada2 said this is a super friendly city and I hope you make it down here.
