I started listening to the Jenny McCarthy show when Taylor and Kenny got sooooooo unbearable to listen to around the time of the divorce/reddit-thread-discovery (i've picked back up recently and do like the new hosts!)
i was surprised how funny JM is and the quality of the show was so great. It was fresh and fun and easy to listen to with her, David, and Michelle and then when i found BFF Fridays, i was pretty much hooked.
I came in quite a while after it started though, so i missed out on a few things during the first year of the show that i've heard referenced lately. just wondering if anyone else has been a super-listener for a while that A. can answer a question and B. want to dish about the show as much as i do?? lol
but right now, my question about someone who is apparently a former BFF -- they've brought her up a couple of times recently on the show....i think he name is Lynne, maybe?
what's that story about?

Lynne Koplitz? I think she used to be in the studio regularly.
ETA-- they also did comedy together. I have no idea what happened between them, though.

I have a feeling that something happened between Jenny and Lynn. Towards the end of Lynn's time on the show, there seemed to be tension, and then one day she was gone and never came back on again, even though she had practically been cohosting before. Maybe something happened on the comedy tour?

I agree! I listened when Lynn was on the show too. I liked her. She was the single, crazy dog lady comedian who was very close with Joan and Melissa Rivers. She was on a few times per week and then just disappeared without another mention of where she went. Didn't she go out on a date with Jenny's dad Mackie once or twice? Also, Mackie used to do the weather and he also disappeared from the show around the same time. The same with Tammy Pascatelli another comedian that co-hosted with Jenny too. Maybe they changed the format when Jenny's women's comedy tour ended?

Yeah I think Mackie had a big crush on Lynn, and she probably humoured him a bit. I was so glad when Mackie stopped doing the show. I couldn't handle his overtly sexual humour when he was interacting with his daughter. It just made me feel weird, and made him seem creepy.

I've wondered about Lynn too. Also, Jenny's sister JoJo used to be on a lot which was great for more personal stories. i do not miss Mackie at all, for the same reasons as all of you.
Lynn was so funny on the old Joan and Melissa Rivers reality show!

ohhh, ok thanks so much for the intel I only ever heard maybe heard a snippet or two of Lynn in passing when flipping through channels but I didn't start listening to the JM show at all until after they left. I definitely heard some shade from JM about Lynne pretty recently and could tell there was some behind the scenes stuff so I was curious!

sorry to hijack....but can i just say how good Jenny is at interviewing!! Hearing T interview Maria and then Jenny was like night and day! Maybe because Jenny gave it more time or what...but wow. And then that Tyson interview. It sounded painful, but man she pulled it off.

Jenny definitely has a gift for it. She makes people feel comfortable and is able to illicit so much from them.

maybe I should start listening the Jenny...lol

yes! I used to be a super-listener to WUWT (listened to every episode on demand when i worked out and looked forward to it every day)! But once they discovered the reddit board and become so negative and weird I couldn't listen anymore. Kenny became so miserable-sounding and seemed to hate his job and everyone who listened and then Taylor acting so shady about the divorce stuff...it just wasn't interesting to me anymore so now I only listen if I happen to be in the car when it's on, which is once in a blue moon.
but i LOVE the jenny mccarthy show! It took a minute to warm up at first bc I had some preconceived ideas about who she was and what her show would be like but she hooked me and now that's my new on demand show. I save the BFF fridays for my long workouts because they keep it entertaining the whole time.
and i agree 100% with the person that said the interviews between T and Jenny are night and day. There's so much more professionalism and preparation that goes into the JM show it makes WUWT sound like crappy college radio when i switch back over.
I wish more people would listen to JM so i could geek out with them about the subtle digs and things they say on her show! it's the best!

I'm down! I do wish they'd stop with the Michelle background laugh. It's not funny, completely annoying and really don't think it adds anything. And the Jenny/Donnie anniversary day...OMG! i had to turn it off.
So do you think Jenny really forgot to invite michelle and david to Donnie's birthday party? That was a little bathos ....I couldn't decide if she was serious or not.

Does anyone else find it really fake when Michelle acts stupid or gets names confused? It seems so put on...
Also I like Michelle, but her laugh makes my skin crawl-like that can't be genuine...

Me too! I love JM. I always wish I had anyone that I could discuss the show with and not sound like a total dork. But DonnieJennyversary made. me. want. to. kill. myself. That was the last show I listened to before I worked last weekend. As a waitress. At a super busy restaurant. In a resort/tourist town. On Labor Day weekend. The stupid song by David and Michelle was in my head ALL WEEKEND

lol I think Michelle's laugh is funny but do think it's put on quite a bit sometimes. The bday invite thing was kind of awkward the way they brought up! I think she knew Michelle would never come. Also.....has anyone else sensed a bit of tension between Donnie and Michelle? He's made a couple of comments that were digs at her -- and once when he was being kind of mean about her when she wasn't even in the studio, so it wasn't like he was doing it to be playful and joke around with her. It doesn't seem like he likes Michelle to me. Which would also explain why she didn't get invited to his party

I haven't listened to Wake Up in several months, but I listen to Jenny's show everyday. I think the 3 of them do such a good job. My favorite is BBF's I look forward to it every week.

I love Jenny's show too! The BFF shows are usually my favorite, but I also enjoy the daily interactions with David and Michelle. I can appreciate Jenny's hustle too... She's married to a very wealthy guy (from what I imagine) and she still works her ass off. Such a contrast to Taylor who complains about working so hard but doesn't seem to do much outside of her 3 - 4 hour workday.
