Ha ha, my husband, too! I did the same thing- didn't dog on the trip, just said "hey, there is a weekend getaway for Wake Up with Taylor fans" Told him what it was and how much it costed. He heard me out and then said "Um, I hope you aren't wanting to go to this because honey, that's a shitty deal. That's way too much money for that short of a trip and you know it's gonna cost way more than that, right?" So I said, "Wait, are you saying you won't get me this for Christmas?" (all serious faced) He looked at me like I'm crazy and said "An overpriced, too short for that much travel vacay that I don't get to go on, too? As a Christmas gift? No." I laughed and told him I was just kidding and I had absolutely no intention of going and he was super relieved, lmao! He said he didn't want to be mean but he was going to totally fight me on this if I was actually trying to go.

Oh yeah, here’s the thing. My husband and I have two small kids. If I’m going to T&C he’s going too. He needs a vacation as much as I do. I would feel bad about going all that way to paradise for 2-3 days without him. I’d feel guilty. I’m already going to Vegas with my girl in February.

Yea noticed that too. Looks like she doesn't want that negativity on her Insta and I can get that. I hope she rethinks this and cancels this all together. I'm glad it means she's embarrassed about it and she should be. Maybe they'll never mention it again on the show. Someone email and ask if it's still happening!

I am dwindling on the days I ‘want’ to listen now. I used to like Carly until every other word was “Guuuuuurrrrlllll” out of both of their mouths. The LI accent does sorta bug me but Emma’s is even worse, however Emma can speak without saying “gurl” and “like” every three words. So even though Carly can be funnier, I definitely like Emma out of those 2.

I know some think Clay is a know it all, but he does have a wide background of friends and he’s smart. I think being with Taylor makes him look even smarter and I like the fact that he doesn’t kiss her ass. He is truly the only one who does it. I thought Rob had the potential in the beginning but he’s gone far the other way. I really only enjoy him because I love a British accent.

What I realized on Tuesday was:
1. I miss the Cosmo branding because T was at least forced to do research and talk about topics from the magazine which means we got variety and
2. Now that I’ve been listening so long and she’s phoning it in, your can name her topic and I (and I’m sure all of you) can tell you the stories she’s going to tell about it.

Examples:
1. ‘What makes a good friend?’ Taylor’s story I knew she’d tell (and did)- friend who wanted soup.
2. ‘Why are girls mean?’ T: Every f*cking sister-in-law story; My friend didn’t let me on her trampoline; they had me come for a ski trip and told me there weren’t enough seatbelts.
3. ‘Pet Peeves?’ T- Supermodels who say they eat hamburgers and cheeseburgers when you know they don’t! How can you eat both when they are different??
4. ‘Harvey Weinstein’- T- a guy kissed me on the shoulder (that sucks fwiw)
5. Any surprise me topic- I can probably guess her answer...

Question: What gets an Instagram person “verified”? Taylor said something about a week ago that she has the Sirius address linked because she’s trying to get verified. As she was trying to explain it to the co-host (I can’t remember who it was?) she kinda got flustered/frustrated and gave up.

Also, did anyone hear her talking about being a “social media micro-influencer” on Thursday? She was saying that all of the meetings she goes to are asking about her social media numbers. Everyone is really into the large numbers and being an influencer BUT now there’s such a thing as a micro-influencer who has a smaller group of more loyal fans. I guess I was curious as to what she’s influencing us about?

This must be why she’s suddenly writing comments back to everyone on IG... (I looked at her page for the first time in months but I missed the whole T&C debacle, darn it! Even the gold swimming suit is gone...)

10 was the minimum though, wouldn't it only benefit her to have like 50 people go?? I can't imagine she pulled the post because she sold out.

The logistics really stink, unless you've got a friend that's really into the show, what do you do? Book a room on your own? Bring your spouse who's probably gonna be bored silly (being both Ts are going, could have marketed it as a couples thing), a friend who has no idea who Taylor is (who's gonna spend money on that?? Or just go and skip the $1400 part, but then spend that time alone?)....there just isn't really a good way to do it. The price should have included rooms so atleast it's doable for people who want to go, but don't know someone else that does.

Yes! It says a lot about this page that many of us here don't listen anymore but still come here daily! Every once in a while, if something about the show on here sounds interesting, I will try to listen but I never last more than five minutes and am reminded why I don't listen anymore

She is so desperate for fame. She wants us to go all fangirl on her if we see her in public and she wants us to spend stupid amounts of money to be near her despite having no marketable talent and now she wants to be verified because Clay is? Pathetic and maybe now she's starting to realize she's not 20 anymore and maybe she's missed the boat.

I was just thinking about all of you listeners who fell out from the show, and while I still like the show and I listen, it really is just not the same show that it used to be. Taylor is not same, either. I really miss Kenny. I'm starting to realize I must have liked the show so much before because it was the dynamic between the two of them that I loved. Kenny made Taylor more likeable- he had this "Oh Taylor...." attitude about her antics and she really toned it down and was more down to Earth when he was there. I like all of the co-hosts (even Lori sometimes) but this new format has changed everything. I think having really successful (and some of them famous) co-hosts made Taylor feel "less than" because that is when all this "I want to be famous" stuff started up. I'm fine with her side hustle- she should do what makes her happy- but the radio show is starting to go to shit because she doesn't focus on it anymore. I wish she would leave the side hustle to the side and do the radio show the way she used to- like it was a priority, one that she wanted to make good and entertaining. This whole beach vacation bullshit would never have happened when Kenny was around- I think he would have told her it sucked. The new co-hosts, as much as they are great, don't have the history with her to call her out like he used to, so she just spins out every show now. It just kinda sucks.

What I miss about the days of Kenny is that he was funny. Carly and Emma have their moments of bringing comedy to the show, but I adored Kenny's perspective and his sense of humor. The other new co- hosts are not comedian funny. I do really like Clay because I think he is very informed on many subjects and does not kiss Tay's ass. I initially like Lori,but now she's just overkill sweetness and too awww-shucks for my taste. Why are none of these co-hosts able to fill in on the show without her on her days off? Kenny used to do it all the time.

Kenny's subtle quips and sound effects were the best. I think Kenny lost interest in the show when Taylor started her new life. I whole heartedly believe that she and TD were together long before she'll ever admit, hence pointing the finger at the in-laws two plus years later. Guilty, much?!

It was during her hush-hush separation that I really lost respect for her. I was hurt as a long-time listener that she would not talk about it when she had no problem with telling us EVERYTHING up till that point. And whatever with the "I couldn't talk about it on the air until the divorce was signed off by a judge". More like she knew that she was going to throw the Epsteins under the bus as the cause and knew that she'd leave with less if she was bad mouthing Brett's family on the air. Since was able to secure herself leaving with a nice safety net, she's had no problem talking shit.

Any bets on whether or not she addresses the trip on Tuesday?

That's 100% what's going on. She never used to respond to followers unless they were her friends and now she's writing back to many (although mainly with emojis)

I had never heard the term, this is a good article though. I don't think it runs true for Taylors "brand" (unless she gets a wine company) but it makes a lot of sense.

Her latest IG is about TD and apple picking to cheer her up. Is she down because she bought into something that she didn't understand was a negative for her listeners and is bummed that light was shed on it? Or is she down because enough spoke up against her idea to get a paid trip to T&C and now her "team" has advised her to stop promoting it? I am curious what has her down because the honest answer to that question would tell a lot about who Taylor really is. Upset for her fans? Upset for herself?

I almost feel bad for her with this whole getaway thing. Clearly she's being poorly advised somewhere along the line or someone is wrongfully pumping up her ego to the point where she thinks she can just pull crap like this right off the bat. I just can't believe it's her getting all kinds of "motivated" all of a sudden, wanting to do these things. Why now, after 10-11 years? She has got to have some outside influences guiding her.

However, she's "35" years old. She should know better.

While I appreciate fans feeling bad for her we have to remember she is not a mentally disabled child. She is an adult woman who has been in the "biz" for a decade however it seems like she didn't pay attention much. her "Mgr" or whoever can say and request what they want, she's an adult and should be able to make her own decisions. but shes blinded by wealth, celebrity etc... You know what? being a successful (say) producer behind the scenes is better than a pathetic wannabe wanting a spotlight on them continuously. There are people that have worked in the movie biz for 20+ years and make a great living.. she doesn't want that. I cant figure this girl out. GO WORK AT SOMETHING. Ugh so frustrating. As much as I can't stand her at times, I empathize as well. Just be a person who has a job and is happy with their life. Whats wrong with that?

Ok, that's what I wanted to say after the "almost feeling sorry for her" part, but I just got home from a weekend wedding in New Orleans and I'm pretty sure my brain has actually turned into oatmeal Words aren't happening too well for me at the moment!

I legit do not feel bad for her. This was shitty. She’s gone on 2 trips with Carin and suddenly she thinks she could lead one of her own? And what is the incentive to the customer? Also she’s a shitty sales person. How do you say it’s a great weekend getaway to T&C but then later in the show say how you couldn’t see any part of T&C because you were there for only 2 Days???

All of this. Yea I don't feel bad for her. I'm actually happy that she took this down and that it is hopefully cancelled. It was a really dumb idea and shame for whoever told it was a good idea. I wonder if she'll still end up going just her and Taylor. But what from I'm hearing T&C got hit by the hurricane badly, so have a good time there.

She needs to stop with this get rich quick schemes and WORK. It irritates me that all she wants to be is famous and have money and boss people around. What is wrong with her? Ugh whatevs.

The same as Kenny's shows, all of a sudden she thought she was a host and comedian. Then a blogger, a foodie (the cooking show with Ed that lasted a hot minute), then a social media trend setter.....she just jumps on what everyone else is doing. The issue is, they work at it, she sees the end product and assumes she can jump in and be at the same point. Then it doesn't work out in two days and she drops it. I will give her kudos for the weekly Periscopes, while not great content, she did stick with them for a long time.
