Even if you don't like Adderall & Compliments, do yourself a favor and listen to episode #89. They interview Spencer Pratt at his house and homeboy has gone off the DEEP END. He's obsessed with hummingbirds, crystals and believes he's met aliens. Or time travelers. Its hard to believe it's the same dude from The Hills.

Same! I am so glad Annabelle introduced her listeners to Spencer Pratt's Snapchat. I now follow him on there and Instagram and he brings me so much joy! I hated him on The Hills but love him now.

Ok I've been avoiding this thread because I didn't want any spoilers. I completely agree. Listening to the Newell women talk is painful. They sound simple. Like, really simple. And frankly their mom must be to stay with a guy like John. JFC. 🙄

I enjoyed this, but not as much as serial because there wasn't really any "mystery", just an account of a psycho and the stupid women who let him into their lives.

I'm with you! Just can't.

I know it's not the morning, but do give Craig Ferguson's show a try. He's so witty and the banter is quite refreshing. I'm also listening to a lot of Radio Andy, big fan of My Favorite Song on Wednesdays and The Feels. Of course, I cut the cord months ago so I've already moved on and not missing WUWT at all.

Does anyone have any podcasts they listen to for the purpose of learning/improving Spanish? I listen to/use News in Slow Spanish, but would love a fun podcast where the host or hosts speak don’t speak too quickly. I’m intermediate-ish. Can understand about 75% of News in Slow Spanish (the intermediate podcast) on the first listen.

I like lifestyle, pop culture, the Bachelor and sports. Thank you

It's not my fave either for a number of reasons. I gave it a good try for a couple of weeks, but now I just stay subscribed and check to see who her guests are every so often. She does get some good interviews (lol and on those eps she doesn't talk as much!), like the Spencer Pratt one is SO worth it!

I also think it's interesting when her porn star friend Rachel comes on.

Okay I’m so glad I powered through to the Spence episode... holy shit! This was wild! Much easier to listen to this episode. I have some questions now though... in the Taylor episode she was saying that she was good friends with Taylor in college and they call Annabelle’s mom Fancy Nancy. But they used to call Victoria’s mom Fancy Nancy too. Does anyone know the story about them?

I don't know- are you sure they said they were friends in college? I might have to go back and listen again. Annabelle is actually from my hometown in South FL and we are the same age. I don't know how she would have known Taylor back then and they wouldn't have been in college at the same time (Annabelle and I are 5 years younger than Taylor).

But wasn't the Spencer ep wild?! The part where he was hiking and the guy just "appeared and gave him a note".Lol I love how when he asked Heidi about it she answered so matter-of-factly like he just asked her what she wanted for dinner. Alien time traveler shows up, NBD.

Yes, by "friends" Annabelle meant she listened to Taylor and felt like they were friends. Kinda like how a lot of WUWT listeners feel.

A few more pod suggestions -

Be Here for a While - Stassi's friend Rachel's pod. Listen to the 9/29 episode, she talks to her friend who used to do flower delivery in Hollywood. I found it fascinating.

The Koy Pond with Jo Koy - totally different than WU because it's pretty much all dudes, but it's HILARIOUS.

Adam Carolla Show - this is one of the few daily pods I've found, and they are usually a little over and hour so it's been a great one to fill the WU void. Again very different, but they get you caught up on current events and I think he does really interesting interviews.

Adam & Dr Drew Show- also daily. If you liked Love Line, this is basically the same thing.

Answer Me This! - hard to explain, but really funny.

Reality Life Wih Kate Casey - reality show talk, but I love that she does a lot of "where are they now" kind of things, she goes deep and interviews people you forgot were ever on TV.

Watch What Crappens - another reality pod but just about Bravo shows. Super funny.

And obviously, Zimlingshow and Straight Up w/Stassi. 😊

Thanks so much for the long list of ideas!! I have been jumping around on ‘Reality Life with Kate Casey’ and have really enjoyed the few I’ve had time for so far!! I like the mix of people she has on and since I’m not really a reality junkie, I can either fast forward through the ones I don’t know, or move on to the next episode I like.

Also, awhile back someone (I think it was you, DurstBurp) recommended “How Did That Get Made?”
I listened to one of their podcasts this week. I’ll have to admit, there were only 1-2 episodes that I really am interested in listening to, mostly because I don’t really know the movies they were going to talk about. So I picked ‘The Lake House’ with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. I’ll have to say, I was laughing my ass off in the car!!! There were 2 downfalls I’ll give you as a warning if you want to check them out:
1. Lots of foul language (didn’t bother me but it might others)
2. A lot of the time if just one person was talking, I had to turn the volume up. Then suddenly, they would all start talking/screaming at once, and it was so overpowering that I had to turn it down. At the end of the show, they take audience questions, and it was so bad then that I had to turn it off. I was constantly turning the volume up/down/up/down....

Otherwise, HILARIOUS!!!

I just have to say...which is probably stating the obvious but Ive been listening to both Jenny's now in the morning (Hutt & McCarthy) now that Wake Up is off the air and the level of professionalism compared to Wake Up is astounding. It makes Taylor & Wake Up look like a show put on by college kids. They have sound clips ready to go, they are actually prepared for their interviews. It is night and day.

That one actually wasn't from me, but I'll have to check it out! I suggested one with a kind of similar title, "Stuff You Should Know". Its actually educational and entertaining, and most of the episodes are appropriate for kids as well.

Nice! I enjoyed previous seasons of SKS, gonna check it out! 2nd season of Accused was pretty good too if you haven't listened already. Not sure if the Heavens Gate pod has started but I definitely want to check that out at some point. I use the Apple app but ever since I updated to iOS 10, I cannot stand it. It's still working but I hate how it defaults to the most recently downloaded episodes instead of just to my list of pods. (First world problems, I know lol)

You can change that in the settings. Something play from oldest to newest and under it is another option.
