GWNJ's voice KILLS me! I literally cannot stand it. It is nails on a chalkboard to me. I dont care how intelligent you are if you talk like that you sound like a complete ditz. Drives. Me. Crazy.
I could only listen to her a few times (at least once was on WUWT) and it seemed like all she was doing was screaming. Couldn’t take that so that was the end. (I’m trying not to type “I” because that whole stupid replacement thing is PISSING.ME.OFF!)

Oh yeah- how was it? Was she as annoying as ever or was it entertaining? An hour of Deborah Graham- I don't know if I could stand it. I really don't like that woman much....

So I've been listening to the Jenny McCarthy show now in the mornings and does anyone remember a while back I think it was when Kenny was on paternity leave that Michelle from the Jenny McCarthy show co-hosted with Taylor? I wonder was Michelle thought of Wake Up, how the show ran and Taylor. I remember Michelle telling Taylor she thought she was bitch because she never said hi to anyone in the hallway. I have a feeling Taylor had that presence around the Sirius offices

So annoying, she gave like horoscopes but repeated phrases all the time. She is such a fake.

I think the same thing....I bet Taylor was a complete b*tch around the office b/c she was so above that "hobby" job since it was just shopping money since she married rich.

Today on Jenny Hutt, she had a plastic surgeon on. He mentioned a product from oil of Olay and she was like: wait, you like the product because you use it and not because you got a ton free, right? She said they couldn't talk about brands unless they actually use them and not because a company sent them stuff free to talk about it. That made me wonder if Tay did that with something? Maybe a company sent her free stuff and she talked about it even though she didn't use?

I️ don’t understand though, like they really all use sleep number beds? Those are literally the fucking worst. I️ mean, at some point it’s an adult responsibility to not just blindly follow what a “celebrity” says right? Like tummy tea for Instagram personalities, no one actually believes it’s a healthy and sustainable way to loose weight?

Hmmmm, what did she talk about that she didn't pay for.....
West Bay Club and Grace Bay Club?

I don't think that's the case, I'm sure the majority of those ads are given to them by Sirius just to read. If anything, I think her issue would be the Drs and such coming on and getting free care from them.
Offline
Yeah, I think the issue is the opposite of the ads. If a company pays for ads, that's one thing. If a company sends a host free stuff outside of the show and the host then plugs the company/product with out so much as a disclosure, that can be an issue. Maybe it was even an internal Sirius issue?
Or it could be that there is a crackdown happening on that stuff all around. I'm sure everyone has read about "celebs" getting in trouble for not disclosing things correctly on Instagram (there's probably even been articles posted here about it). Maybe it's not just Instagram accounts that they're cracking down on.
Offline
Yes, Jenny made it clear that she uses the no no hair remover, but made it clear it was a company that she reads ads for. But I'm not sure what it would have been if this is what got Taylor in trouble.

I think Tay crossed a line into the payola/plugola area more than a few times. For all we know, she could have been previously warned and chose to ignore it. The advertising of the hotels, probably made it worse b/c of their connection to a former Sirius manager, and was probably the coup de grace that got her fired. It is pretty clear she stood to personally profit from her connection to the resorts in one form or another. And for sure the former Sirius manager was going to benefit from it financially thru her husband. I agree w/the folks who have opined that this was either a dumb mistake/greed as opposed to some kind of malicious intent. But a 35 year old who has been in the business for over 10 years can hardly plead innocence and be believed. That does not pass the smell test.

Another random thought - the part of the show entry when Kenny was there - Tay openly called herself a narcissist. It always made me cringe. When people tell you who they are, believe them!! If she truly has that personality disorder she would think nothing of “forgetting” or “bypassing” rules that she would think are only meant for “others”. Certainly her total self involvement and selfishness toward just about everyone in her life would be charistic of a narcissist. I am no therapist - but her actions and words often made me think she thought rules were made for “other” people. Just an observation. Plus, all the alcohol stuff - made me wonder a lot!! Even though I generally enjoyed the show.

Probably a bunch of emails came out outlining the guidelines of what was expectable and what wasn't, unfortunately she didn't check the work email. I wonder if Katie warned her, then she got in trouble for the trip and that was comment about should of been listening to her.

I've been wondering how much power/influence the producer has over the show. Does anyone know what the dynamic is? We've been crapping all over Taylor for eating on air, repeating stories, interrupting....the list goes on, but I feel like some of that has to fall on Katie, right? What exactly is a producer's job?

But Taylor always mentioned how Katie was throwing her looks when she was constantly repeating stories.

Right- but Taylor kept doing it. I guess there's only so much she could do short of putting a 'secco cork in her mouth. I'm sure ignoring her producer's instructions didn't help her case any.

When Steph was the producer I remember more structure to the show. The segments seemed to be better planned and prepared. There were celeb interviews on the regular and also segments that were Steph's influence (Tooney Tunes Tuesday's, Throw Back Thursdays). I think the ONLY reason Tay was a fan of Katie is because she didn't see her as competition.... professionally and physically.

This is all very true! I hated those segments though! Sorry Steph. But to me, after she left, it seemed that Kenny and Taylor didn't care much for her, and I'm curious as to why? Because she ran a tight ship perhaps? I really liked her.

You know I wonder if part of the difference is because Steph kept it more professional and did run a tight ship. It seems like Katie and Taylor hung out a lot as friends away from the show a lot, which is fine, but it probably made it difficult for Katie to put her foot down with Taylor and be able to really do her job.

The show really did decline after Steph left, I think. Love her or hate her, she pushed Taylor (which Taylor didn't like but also needs to not get sucked into her vortex of narcissism). She also changed up the 7 things every hour like we all talked about.

I want to know why they didn't like Steph When they talked about the one time how Kenny sent a group text instead of just to Taylor saying Steph should never work in radio again. Yhkkkkkkkes!

I thinkmTaylor was used to running her own show, Steph came in and took over and that rocked the boat. As much as I love Kenny, he could be a little mean girl and I think Taylor would take that andnrun withnit. As someone else said, Katie was more of a friend, so then line was blurry, and really, you can only push a person to do so much. Taylormmentioned manyntimes ignoring what Katie had said.
I think that's probably what's happened with Matt as well. He realized it was a sinking ship, he could only bail so much water out and grabbed a oife boat off the sinking SSTayTay
Sorry for the terrible writing, on my iPad and can't actually see the reply box 😕

lmao do you really think he isn't with her anymore?

Nope. FB page hasn't been touched since that one afternoon of flurry and Website (that he initially made) still says she works at Sirius. If he was still in the picture and they were working towards a new project, that would all be revamped.
After TDs post on FB, I'm 99% sure there is no legal lockdown on her. The post said Taylor couldn't figure out how to post, not that she wasn't allowed to. It's all smoke and mirrors till something falls in her lap again.

Steph confuses me...like I do think she in intelligent, she’s currently fighting for maternity/paternity leave and even wrote an article for time online, but she’s a spin instructor? Seems like a waste of her talents? IMO.

I don't know. I think it's a fallacy to think you can't be intelligent or into fitness at the same time. It seems kind of like boxing someone in. I get that her "brand" isn't as clear, but sometimes I think our generation works too hard to figuratively box people in.
That being said, as a public persona, maybe it is too much. I don't know. I would love to hear what you guys think.
I just think that ultimately the show declined after Steph left. It was less structured and more repetitive overall.
