Think about all of the free advertising Pig Beach and the other restaurant got...and Ed’s Lobster Bar. I’m sure she never paid for her food or drinks there. Not that I wouldn’t have done the same thing for friends UNLESS my company had rules against it. In which case, I would have made it darned clear what I was doing.

And I loved Steph and I thought she made the show bearable for a long time when I was losing interest in Taylor's constant self-loathing and Brett-admonishment and boasting about vacations. Ugh, the worst. Anyway, Steph brought structure and a third voice that I really think the show was lacking since Victoria moved on. I really, really used to love Cosmo Radio... the little segments they would do on cocktails and fashion and fitness and celebrity stuff were really on-brand for Cosmo, but without that, i think Wake Up failed to establish itself or brand itself. I'd say it came closest to a lifestyle category but the content was just Taylor's poor little rich girl schtick for the longest time... omg remember when she would boast about flying PJ (Private Jet)??? So basically, Steph tried to actually brand the show, I think, by creating structure and topics that weren't necessarily about The Es or how hard it is to be wealthy, and without her the show ultimately became just a few hours of Taylor screeching about all the people who've wronged her and how she wants to be a real housewife.

That said, I wish she would have tried her hand at comedy. Really, the Stupid Olympics were funny. Her fashion sense isn't really all there and I wouldn't say she should give anyone fashion advice. She sucked at health topics, women's issues, and everything else she claimed to represent. Even calling herself a WASP, she sucked at... you're Catholic, girl!! WASPS are Protestant! I feel like she's done as an entertainer though... she doesn't really offer any meaningful content.

This is such a great post. I share the same sentiments. Going the comedy route would have been something she could have pursued.  I do think she is funny, especially in the old days. Also, if it turns out she lost her career from all the has been stated, that is just so sad. Losing everything to pure greed and her love of money. 

I would love to read the Stephanie article. I'm not sure if she's brilliant or not, I don't know her. But she was not Ts competition, she could BARELY put three words together. She also didn't know a lot of common knowledge things (A little like T)  
I'm curious what T would do in comedy. I used to picture her on a tv show playing the spazzy friend...

I think its similar to Carin's getaway, or Kenny's comedy shows. They can advertise their side projects, the trip sounded like it was a Sirius (taping on the beach) event though.

So say someone went on Carin's trip, fell in the pool and drowned. Carin is liable as its her event, she would have insurance for stuff like that. If that happened on the WU trip, Sirius could be sued, but it looks like they weren't actually involved so wouldn't have the coverage in place for something like that.

I think because it was clearly the agreement with Sirius that she would do the show in order to promote her business- her business is the impetus for the show, not the other way around. And it's pretty obvious she's profiting when you go to her own website where I'm sure she spells out exactly what her services are and how much they cost. The trip was possibly not sanctioned by Sirius, and the way Taylor set it up between the e-mailing of CC info and exposure to liability for anything that happened on the trip is I think the biggest difference. As a financial advisor, Alexa is subject to tons of regulations on top of those from the FCC and I'm certain that when you sign up with her you receive all of those notices. I haven't listened to her show, but I'm willing to bet there are some disclaimers about financial advice played during the show. There were no disclaimers about anything (like "this trip is not affiliated with SiriusXM...") when Taylor advertised the show or on the info I received when I emailed about the trip. Oh, except no refunds. 🙄

oh and I'd bet Alexa had it written into her contract that she would be promoting her book and website!  Talk about a smart chick, at least she comes across that way.   Her and even Dr Laura are super monotonous after awhile so I have a hard time listening to either.

Not sure if Matt is still working with tay or anything but he's at the very least still friendly w her. TD posted a pic of apple earbuds he got for her bday. I wasn't the biggest fan of Steph but I liked the segments in a way. They weren't just taking with a few random guests and visiting NYC restaurants 🙄 Didn't love the music one cuz I don't like her style and I think she partly wanted to make herself more a part of the on air crew (just a feeling I got from her) I did like throw back Thursday. I just think they did it wrong. Instead of 3 hours it could've been once an hour or fir a short time so that they could not use up every song in the category. & eventually they ended up with things like tbt to prom 🙄 Lol anyway I did miss the segments just as a short break from just talking about things we heard tay say already.
Also pretty sure she hasn't posted in like a week. Why bother saying hoping to have answers this week , every week  etc.? Just be silent or post regularly, that's what I would do.
Don't think she's doing a podcast either because it should not take this long to get started. I have a friend from college and she decided to start a podcast & it only took her some time to buy decent starting equipment but not a month from her decision. Plus tay theoretically has the $ to buy some recording equipment andTD may even have some stuff since she does videography. She could even help her do a YouTube channel. Idk.

No, they all follow each other still. IG has been wonky lately, so may not have shown up well!
 

I've always wondered about this. I know someone that blogs and receives shipments daily. To the point that she has an entire room in her apartment dedicated to just cosmetics. NO JOke.  She sells stuff after she posts about it through poshmark or another site and from what I can tell nothing is taxed, yet is substantial in her income. I'm afraid to write off a burger so of course part of me is sitting here with my popcorn waiting to hear a bunch of these fashion bloggers are being targeted for undocumented income.

It looks like Taylor is headlining the show - I wonder what sort of contractual agreement she has with the club/if there's a penalty if she doesn't show up? The lineup is already a little awkward, an HGTV guy, a comedian, and a washed up radio host? They're both great in their own right, but I don't see a show with just Emma and Anthony being much of a draw.
 

 
If she tells them she legally can't speak in public (which seems to be the story she's sticking to) can they really do anything? I guess places like that have real lawyers though, and not IG team "I watched Law & Order" lawyers and could call her out pretty quickly.

Soooo....Carly appears to have jumped ship, eh? That is fascinating, I'm dying to know why!!! This situation just gets weirder and weirder.....
