I just posted on that thread advising her to contact SiriusXM...will be interesting to see 1) if she does; 2) what they say.

From the FB post I took it as a letter was sent and that girl deleted it and couldn’t find it. Bc another lady was like let me check and see if I have it still?

Actually, I do. But I am a “storage” freak, and I like for all of my RAM to have its best chance of doing its job. Speed speed speed.

FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT!!!

I'm a little smarter than the average bear, but not SUPER tech savvy so its entirely possible I'm confused...but isn't everything just in the cloud/on Google servers (if you have gmail) and not actually taking up space on your hard drive? I don't even have a "real" computer for personal use anymore - I have my work laptop, but otherwise I just use my phone/ipad.

You are all very correct.

When I was introduced to computers, it was pre windows, pre internet, pre monitor (you had to use a tv) and storage was done with cassette drives or internally. Because of this, I am basically hardwired to eliminate any clutter on all of my tech because during that era  storage was extremely limited.

Yes, I know that everything is cloud based these days. But, have you ever seen how much space in the cloud this information takes up.....for me, it’s mind numbing. My kids galaxy had over 16gigs tied up in texting alone.

My work laptop has nothing but essential work programs only, and I can guarantee you that I have the “cleanest” smart phone ever.

There are actually quite a few all around the US.  I know the one I use for work is in Raleigh, NC.  
IBM and Google are building them everywhere though.  Hard drives are going the way of the dinosaur.
There will be no need to delete anything as long as you're willing to pay for the storage!

Sorry if this kills some actual cloud fantasies anyone has....
