Thank you. He fought hard. It was the hardest 14 months of my life.

He worked for the federal prison bureau. So basically he was a cop that ran a repair shop for the government. Because of this I lived a very disciplined life. I have never had any narcotic, I have not touched alcohol in 26 years, and what little I had was almost not worth mentioning.

Out of respect to my wife, whom frowns on such activities I continue to hold myself to the same code of conduct.

Though it was funny to see him stoned. He rarely laughed.....it was good for all of us. I think that if it was not for my occupation, and that we are randomly tested every month......I would be popping one right now.

I see no problem with that 😉. As I stated in an earlier post : “I only torture myself with my obsessive compulsiveness” everyone else should do as they please.

And, you are correct. It is the worst thing ever....cancer sucks

I hope that you and your loved ones find the peace and solace that you deserve.

Bethos, Karma, and anyone else I’m missing who has lost a loved one to cancer, I’m so sorry for your losses.  I lost my brother to an extremely aggressive prostate cancer not too long ago, and I miss him terribly.  I feel so lucky to have had the time with him that I had; he was the only sibling still living with my parents and me while I was growing up. He was the second youngest of four kids - he was nine years older than I, and we spent so much quality time together... we used to take walks that would start at around 8am and be finished in late afternoon.  We walked all over west LA, singing Alice Cooper songs and talking about everything under the sun.  Those were among the happiest times of my life and I’m so glad my husband was able to get to know him. All this to say that I am so very sorry that you and your loved ones went through this.

I have a couple qualifying conditions that allowed me to get my medical mj card in AZ, but upon my first visit to a dispensary I found the various products to be too expensive, especially since I cannot use my HSA funds to purchase anything.  Bummer, because I really would like to find an alternative to the narcotics I take daily so I can work.  I’m currently trying to wean myself off them because I hate being a slave to a bottle of pills, but I have been on them since I was diagnosed in 2007 - my rheumatologist said I would need them for the rest of my life but I am determined to find a way to get off them.

Tl;dr?  You didn’t miss much.  I like you trolls, you are good people and I’m so sorry for the losses you’ve endured.

So, something interesting this morning- I was on FB and caught Rob Shuter live (he does a FB Live Naughty Gossip thing that is entertaining, but I rarely catch when he is actually live). So since he was on I sent him a Hey Boy Hey and told him I miss him on Wake Up, just to say hi. He saw it and actually addressed me about it. He told me hey girl hey and then started talking about how that was in reference to a radio show he used to co-host on and how it got cancelled out of nowhere. The interesting part is that he straight up worded it "Sirius GOT RID OF Taylor Strecker's show". As in definitely straight up fired- not that we had any doubt but Rob totally confirmed it. He said he still doesn't know exactly why but is still trying to find out and hopes to be able tell me why in the future. I was just so surprised he actually talked directly to me about it, called me by name even and talked at length about it. So not new info obvi but I thought I would share with you all.

Thanks for sharing! That's awesome he responded. I know he wasn't everyone's favorite on this board, but he was one of my favorite co-hosts. I enjoyed his cheeky banter.

Right? And that is so not being talked about that even a gossip columnist can't find anything out. 
 

If she knows she can do "stuff" starting in January, that means the legal stuff is pretty much ironed out since they've obviously reached an agreement of some sort. Depending on why she got fired, part of that agreement might include not disclosing the reason, but even so I would tell my friends and just ask them not to say anything about it publicly. I think at this point she's just buying herself time to decide how she wants to spin it.

That’s exactly what I said, it’s hard to believe NOTHING is on the internet or even the gossip Pages about it. Sirius is very quite about the story getting out.  And I certainly don’t think Taylor has enough power to make sure Sirius doesn’t say anything if she was fired because she is embarrassed.  But on this page someone told me Taylor is not even famous enough for anybody to give a shit basically. I mean when one of our local radio hosts in my little city gets fired it’s all over the our news. There is a lot more to this I don’t think will ever come out.
she is fighting Sirius radio for wrongful termination and Sirius wanted to put a gag order on her for one year but her lawyers got it to just January 1.  She has to change the name of everything she used on her show but I think hey girl hey is OK just needs to be spelled differently.She only made about $100,000 a year anyway so if they gave her some severance that’s probably what they were fighting over. Hopefully she got some money from them.

Good point- unless maybe she doesn't want to tell Rob since he is a gossip guy, maybe she doesn't trust him not to blab. I really don't think he would, though- he has some morals to him, he's not an asshole like that.
