One of my favorite segments from WU was when Thomas John was on, it gave me chills, made me cry, and it never was long enough, I could have listened to him for three hours. I'm really into the spiritual, psychic, medium world, and am a believer, but not of all of them. Thomas seems like the real deal and I would LOVE to see him. Has anyone here ever got to talk with him on the show or on their own? Thoughts if he's real or not?

Oh boy, I don't know for sure about him....he seemed really legit at first and I was amazed by him. But then when he told Katie he was talking to her Grandma but used her actual legal name (instead of the name Katie knew her by) I got suspicious. If he was actually talking to her G-ma, would she not have revealed herself by the name Katie knew her by? Because Katie didn't know who he was talking about until she asked her family about it. That seems to me like he Googled her family and got the legal name and used it, instead of knowing her nickname which I would imagine she would have used if he was talking to her. I asked on the FB fan page if any Wake Up listeners have ever talked to him and a couple of them said they had and that he was accurate on their readings, though. So, who knows....but I'm still skeptical of him.

I'm so torn. I want to believe these people exist, its just so hard. Why are more crimes and such not solved with their help?

I'm a curious skeptic. At this moment I would say I don't believe, but I'm open to the idea that it is real. I live a little less than 2 hours from the Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp - apparently its one of the biggest in the world. A friend and I drove down there to spend the night on Friday the 13th (lol) in October of this year. She's much more of a believer than I am, and her mom passed away when she was little so she wanted to see if she could talk to her. We each got individual readings and went to a group séance. My individual reading was WAY off - the lady told me I have a bossy/overbearing husband. Haha if anyone is bossy in the relationship, its me! For the séance, with a different woman, I don't have anyone in my life who has passed that I felt I needed closure or anything with, but my grandmother was kidnapped by her own mother when she was 6 years old, and we don't have a lot of details so I thought I'd ask about that. When it was my turn, I just said "something happened to my grandmother when she was a child - is there anything she wants to tell me about it?". Right away she outright asked me what happened to her. I didn't necessarily expect her to know she was kidnapped, but I guess I feel like she should have at least been able to pick up that it was something traumatic. It also seemed like everything she told the other people was very generic and could be plausible for almost any situation. I was underwhelmed to say the least.
