Whatcha making??? I usually do a baked French toast, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, bacon & sausage. Thinking maybe eggs benny this year, or a different baked something? We have two vegetarians, so needs to be meat free.

Oooh, I love a good french toast bake! That sounds so much better than what I've been having lately.... a pot of coffee. (#finalsweek 😫)
This strata has been a go-to for my family and it's really good. And I'm the biggest raisin/craisin hater out there!
Last year I made beet bagels and spinach bagels--naturally colored red(ish) and green!!--which were a huge hit. If you can make bread, you can make bagels. They're so easy and not filled with preservatives/crap (so if you won't eat them fast, slice and freeze them. You can't tell the difference once they're toasted, but they probably won't last a week, otherwise)
(^^This recipe says it yields 12 bagels, but they're kind of small, so I do 8 and increase the baking time. They come out more like big fat delicious bakery bagels 😍 I also omit all the spices, except salt of course.)

I usually do a breakfast casserole with southwestern hashbrowns, eggs, pepper jack cheese, lil smokies, onions/peppers, etc. We keep Christmas Day for ourselves, so we don't have to go anywhere..all we have to do is eat, drink and be merry 🎄❄️🎁

We have a family tradition of eating something my mom always made called “Garbage.” Before you say YUCK, let me explain...
It’s basically scrambled eggs with diced potatoes and diced bacon all mixed together when cooked, and served with toast. It’s called garbage cause it’s tossed all together in a pan like garbage in a pail. That recipe is the “purist’s” one, but many like to add in onions (my dad), or shredded cheese (my brother-in-law). You can speed up making it by using the frozen diced potatoes and letting them thaw while opening presents that morning (plus, they come with/without onions, or even with peppers if you like those too!). We have also substituted diced ham for bacon in the past as well. Lots of options and pretty easy to make! Enjoy!

But really my Christmas morning breakfast is generally bitterness and anger, as my girls are not morning people.

I do as well! Its so easy and everyone loves it, I just want something different this year. I'm gonna do a test run this weekend on the poached eggs in the oven. If that works, I think fried potatoes, eggs benny, bacon, sausage, and cinnamon buns.
We're all at my parents for Christmas, and they have a farm so horses are done before anything else. Gives me some time to putter in the kitchen lol
