I just use the default one?

I have an iPhone and have always used the default app too. I like how to can set it to auto download/delete and sort.

What happens when it isn't letting you listen? The only time that happens to me is sometimes I get the "episode not available message" when I know it is, and it seems like that only happens if I try to hit play right as my phone is switching from wifi to data or doesn't have a connection for some reason. I just turn off wifi in my settings, try to play another episode, then go back to the one I wanted to hear and it will play.

I have been using the one that came with the phone but two things have happened recently:
1. My battery has suddenly started using enormous amounts of juice after I’ve been listening even though I’ve closed out of the podcast app and changed the settings in what’s running in the background. I still think it’s somehow related because it’s only happening on days I’ve been listening to podcasts.
2. Not all podcasts are available on that app or to iPhone users using that app.

Not the end of the world but I was just curious if anyone used other options...thanks!

I was wondering about this one! It was recommended on a list of "Apps you have to have" recently. I think there is a free and paid version but I need to look into it a little more closely. 

Just this morning my phone did that 'thing' again. I had been listening to a podcast (Reality Life with Kate Chastain) and I paused it, then closed all the windows when I had to leave. Of course, later on it popped back up as going in the background, even though I had closed the app AND I have that app turned off in the settings for running in the background. Ugh. Hate it.

I have been out of the podcast game for quite sometime. But, I have become hooked on watching below decks with my girls. So, I may have to check out what Kate has to say.

 
Hey Karma! The “Below Deck” Kate Chastain has a different podcast during the show (I’m hooked on that one too... love that show!).It is called “After Deck.”   The pod I was listening to was with Kate Casey, but she has interviewed Kate Chastain before!
