So here’s what I don’t understand and maybe you guys can help. I stopped listening regularly after Kenny left, so maybe I missed something... back in the day, Taylor was obsessed with Maria and Kevin, almost in a creepy, cringe way. Maria and Kevin had their hands in a little bit of everything- tv, radio, production, digital content, etc.- in fact, I listed to a few of their afterbuzz tv podcasts. It seems like Taylor could have turned to them for a gig or even just advice.  I realize a lot changed in the last few years with Maria’s show, her sickness, etc., but what happened to their friendship? Why isn’t Taylor asking for help from people who have actually done something in the biz  unlike Matt?

Maybe Taylor feels she does not have to ask for help or advice because of the amount of time she has “been in the business”. Or maybe she does not want to bother certain people. I agree with you that it would make sense for her to ask people like Maria for advice.  Then again we do not know who, other than Matt and TD, Taylor is discussing her new gig with.

I bet they’re not actually that close and Taylor knows that so didnt want to ask for a favor.  Taylor fancies herself a faux celebrity but she’s really an unknown.  It seems like the only people she trusts are Matt and Taylor and those two are clueless. 

You’d think that she’d have a mentor (informal at least) after 11 years at Sirius but nope.  Probably because she’s too self absorbed to care about others and was never that invested a career and making connections at work.

 
I think you’re spot on! The BBS think it’s scandalous that Clay didn’t reach out after the drama, but I think he’s just being smart. He probably has better industry connections and doesn't see her helping his career and much as he would help hers. I kind of think Carly won’t be back and don’t think she was ever terribly close with Maria and Kevin. I also think the subscription model of her podcast will limit her “friend” participation, since it not only limits their audience but it means that either she cuts them a check or they are doing it for free. Generating content on a free platform gives you exposure... generating paid content for free makes you a sucker.

To that point, it seems like a bit of a slap in the face to Kenny. Frankly his resume is way better than Taylor’s, he actually produces unique content, and he was 1/2 of the same show she is from, yet his pod is free. And he has 2 babies to feed! Where does she get off thinking she’s worth so much more than him?

Beyond risky decisions with her brand and career

Missed an incredible amount of time from work

The list continues to grow. Thank God that she has not added her chlorine to the gene pool. I would love to see her get herself back together. But, it appears that it is too late. As she now only surrounds herself with yes people. I am beginning to think that TD is her captain save a hoe.

Does she not have any family or loved ones that see how she’s crashing and burning? Especially since she isn’t hiding it and is putting it all out there. That Instagram bunny story makes me really question her grasp on reality. It’s all quite sad and not even really fun to watch any more.
 
That comment about TD trying to save her struck with me because in my younger more neieve days I was that girl who thought I could save a self destructive, sinking ship of a guy. In the end it didn’t help either of us.

It is so easy for someone who is desperate for attention to accentuate playing the victim. There always has to be two. The victim, and the enabler.

Babbs enables her, Kenny enabled her (until Chelsea became the woman in his life), now TD is doing it.

You have a loyal audience and you deserve this and that, and remember everyone is Just Jealous!" and you always think your mom knows best. Sometimes you have to step back and realize mom is your biggest fan, in this case, Babbs is the fan who sneaks her hair into the cake they baked especially for you.

There is a whole thread on the BBs FB page about how every is just jealous of her...they are drinking the Babette Kool-Aid too. 

I mean it totally makes sense- when I decide to envy someone, I also find the biggest hot mess that I can possibly think of and get completely jealous of them.....  All joking aside, though, some of those chicks on that page are truly delusional. 

If Taylor could get an everyday job outside of the entertainment industry and do a free podcast (maybe with Kenny) once a week, I think she would have new interesting content for the show.  Hopefully this change would give her a different perspective on life.  The Taylor I loved from 2006- was so insightful, introspective and witty.  These quick cash grabs are demoralizing her and the brand she is trying to create.  If your art is your voice, you need to have something to say, and that should mean more to her than money.  Didn't she learn anything from fan backlash for making us pay for her little videos!?  Come on Taylor!
