I think this is the issue, she doesn't want to put in the work.

They did a good job with the site though! Its a little glitch, but for building it themselves its a lot better then I was expecting! I hope she gets lots of people subscribing today, she had to have been super nervous going live!

Re: Taylor's New Gig

I think she’ll get the 1500 subscribers. My only concern is growing is the audience.  I think I’ll subscribe, we will see.

And the 8-day free trial is super misleading. I actually came on to write. Like duhhh. It’s a free 8-days on content, stop being so nit picky, then saw the response and it’s not a free trial at all.

That was just a ball park (after studio time and such) to get her to what she was making at Sirius. Looks like lots joining today, so hopefully she gets close!

I'm not sure what it means when it says you pay $0.00 now and then $6.95 per month after your 8 day trial.  Does that mean if I sign up now, I get 8 days free and we won't be charged until 1/26/18?  I'm confused.

This is the response I received:
No it means you are pre-subscribed and you won’t be charged the monthly fee of $6.95 until the show goes live in 8 days…our first show if next Tuesday January 8th!!!!!THANK YOU for signing uppppppp!!!!!!!!!xxTay

So, the "free trial" wording is totally misleading.  All they have to say is sign up now and you will be charged when the first show airs on 1/16/18.  In the e-mail response she even got the date wrong that the show is starting!!

This email annoys me so much. It is not hard to take a minute and write a professional email with correct punctuation and grammar. Let alone getting the information correct!!

Re: Taylor's New Gig

According to the BB - around 50 of them have signed up, soooo 1450 to go!

I for one will not be signing up:
1. I don’t want to hear the same bullshit I’ve been hearing for the past 5 years
2. I listened mainly out of habit from my Sirius app - since she’s been gone I don’t miss it.
3. There’s not enough content to justify the fee - before you get on me: I make my own coffee at home, I clear over 150 a year but that doesn’t mean I’m frivolous with my money. Well, my expensive vices are fashion, stocks (Go Amazon!!!) and traveling.
4. I don’t believe she has been humbled or grew from this experience and I believe the whole show will be about ‘the victimization of Taylor’

And last but not least: I 100% believe once they have your credit card info it will be next to impossible to cancel. Do we really think anyone on her pin brained team knows anything about a billing cycle?....

You hire an e-commerce site To Handle the monthly payments they will charge the cards on the billing date and deposit the money into an account and they take a fee for doing it all. If you want to cancel at anytime you call a support number and end it.
Now I could be wrong but I doubt very much Taylor or her team is going to personally be running cards at various dates and charging people.

Admin just approves everyone without checking accounts, tons could be removed. If you scroll the likes you will find many are fake with know profile photo or friends. Most of Taylor’s younger fans will be on instagram, Facebook is for old people now, I’m old I can admit it! The millennial’s gravitate more towards Instagram and Snapchat. Her insta followers will get more to sign up.

Hawr-rible, i think you’re right on. I did a little calculation this morning and I think she needs a minimum of 1,500 subscriptions to be making back the money she likely lost in salary, after her production and hosts costs. I have no insider or entertainment knowledge, that’s just based on some of the info we’ve found online. Are there really 1,500 people who are going to pay right off the bat?

Boy I hope so for her sake, but it's sure not guaranteed, is it? Freelance entertainment careers aren't a get rich quick sort of thing, unless you land an amazing opportunity right off the bat. I just think a streamed radio show is not that sort of opportunity. But maybe it is! Only time will tell.

I agree getting new listeners will be hard, but I bet she picks up a bunch from DnRs show on top of her loyal base. So much of her show is taking calls and real time news/pop culture that doing a live show only fits.  Terrestrial radio would not work way to censored. I like the idea of bring more shows on with them like Emma’s and few others then have the app that allows you to get them all for one price.
I’m seeing very cool things coming from this honestly.
Taylor needs to get some business people around her and someone that is good with social media.
If she plays her cards right this could be a great opportunity. I’m pulling for her not to fuck this up!!!

Other than cussing, what makes her show unsuitable for terrestrial radio? I don’t know if I’ve been listening to SiriusXM too much or if I just can’t think of what she talks about that is too edgy.

Agree 100%.  She doesn’t DO anything to make me want to pay and listen to her talk about her life.  That’s why all of her stories were about her old life.  It seems like all she does nowadays is pitter patter around her studio and dream about being a mogul.  Get a life girl!

And that's why I went electrical!  Not as many variables and everything is a 0 or 1...until you get into imaginary numbers.  If you like numbers, you would have liked it.  I need a t-shirt that says "I get off on Laplace transforms"!

First—-Welcome Nrg-photog! Glad to have you!

Second—- You are absolutely right and have just said what has been repeatedly written and practically begged of Taylor since this board started! What seems so simple and easy to everyone else, and like it could possibly be so successful for her (what her fan base wants), is either a challenge or something she is just flat out choosing to ignore. You’d think she would pick the “no brainer” route but nope...we get the IG stories from bed with the childish filters and duck lips saying a whole lot of nothing.

My hope is that 2018 leads her in a new direction and perhaps she will finally start to listen to different people advising her. Maybe she will grow and learn from her experience and become a better person.

I hope so, too- let this new beginning lead to a better show and career. But I don't think it's fair to blame TD for anything- we all know how stubborn TS is. Can you imagine trying to give her ideas and have her listen the first time out? On her FB Live yesterday she even said she had to apologize to TD after the filming of the videos for the website because she was such a beast to her while filming them. Her poor girlfriend can only help so much; you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink, ya know?

Re: Taylor's New Gig

I think it's really a shame that she hasn't realized the opportunity she had at Sirius.  Other than the Jenny McCarthy show, there really isn't any "women's" programming.  At least not that I have found.  Jenny Hutt is fine in the evenings, but no good in the mornings IMO.  I wish she would have put in the work and made the show great when she had it and followed all the rules so she wouldn't get fired.  Now I'm sure she will play the victim.  It's obvious from her tagline "get the show back that was taken from you."  Someone called her out about this on IG saying it makes her sound bitter and she commented "I am bitter."  How about taking some responsibility for your situation and working hard to improving it.  And then making the next thing you do better than ever!  I just don't know if this new venture is going to be that.
