I've met quite a few through work. Some randoms that come to mind: Michael C. Hall and David Zayas from Dexter (fav show ever! I was so excited!), Tyra Banks, Macklemore, Ray Romano, Bobby Cannavale, the Hanson Brothers from Slapshot (woo!), Kaka, Alexander Ovechkin, Felix Hernandez. The last two guys I dated were both super F-listers if that counts for anything. Ha!
Wow! That’s awesome, you totally win!

I have never watched Six Feet Under...I really need to add that to my binge list. I’m obsessed with Michael C. Hall as Dexter (is that a problem??) I feel like I would struggle a little with him in another role. But I heard he’s fab. Probably been enough separation now.
I’m the head of social media for an entertainment brand, so part of my job is working with influencers and celebs.

I’m a HUGE hockey fan. I have all the Slapshots on DVD...I save 2 & 3 for days that I’m really sad and want to continue punishing myself 🙃
I’ve never seen Mighty Ducks though...

Ok, I actually have to backtrack on the Mighty Ducks comment- I was thinking of a completely different movie apparently (Mighty Ducks is the one with Emilio Estavez and admittedly I did love that movie when I was 12) I was thinking of movie where this Cali surfer/skater dude moves up North and joins a hockey team- at least that's how I'm remembering it, my husband swears I'm mixing two bad 90's movies together to get that plot synopsis. But we can't remember the name of the movie(s)- does that ring a bell to anyone?

Airborne? It looks vaguely familiar, but I don't recall ever having actually sat down and watched it. But if this is what you're talking about... I agree, it looks awful

Haha, I mean I think I could advise her (I think I offered awhile back when Matt was on here taking in feedback), but it really is case of you can’t help those who don’t help themselves.
I differ from some of my colleagues in that I don’t think you should force someone to be on social media who doesn’t want to be (because it creates these situations like Taylor...no follow through). Certainly that’s tricky in the entertainment space, but I think no social media is better than bad social media.
What drives me nuts is the lack of professionalism. Have a plan to update the site when the show debuts. Test out the podcast technology first (vs promising a podcast and saying “oopsie, didn’t work”). You don’t have to be a digital or technology expert to realize those are good things to do.
And it feels like overall, Matt is trying to do everything (or at least a lot of things), and he isn’t an expert in these things. Hire people to do this stuff (you can hire someone to do social media on upwork for like $10/hour remotely. Have them make some graphics and schedule stuff out for $30 a week). I think the mistake I made earlier in my career was trying to do everything (and sometimes still), when there are people better qualified to do it. I have 8 people who work for me and all of them are waaaaay more knowledgeable about the specific area of the entertainment biz we work in. And I hired them to balance out my weaknesses. No shame in that! If Taylor is really doing better now than she was at Sirius, take the difference and re-invest it in her career.

What I find funny is that she thinks she is so good at social media at times (ie. "I am great at IG stories!!") while pretty honest about being lame at other stuff (she knows she is twitter-averse.) I find her IG stories mostly childish... some of the filters are cringe-worthy and when she doesn't have the filters, she is constantly using the phone as a mirror and playing with her hair or making duck lips instead of delivering a message or sharing her life. She has so much to offer... I wish she would just do it.

There should be an Instagram class. And, she should attend. Her skills are juvenile at best.

We used to live in Southern California so would run into celebrities from time to time. When I was in elementary we watched Kareem Abdul Jabar, Magic Johnson, and the rest of the Lakers hold an informal practice at our local community college - I got my picture taken with Kareem. My mom worked at a Cat Scan/MRI place and met Steven Spielberg (he was bringing his mom). I sat on Red Skelton's lap (not in a creepy way) when I was 8 at the Palm Spring Airport.
Then we moved in North Carolina and my Dad works in NASCAR so I've met quite a few big name drivers (Earnhardt Sr. & Jr., Jeff Gordon, Rusty Wallace, both Waltrip's, many more) and also some celebrity owners - Jim Kelly, Troy Aikman & Roger Staubauch (sp?), Brad Daugherty. We also had friends that knew Edwin McCain so he met us all at a bar one night and put on an impromptu performance.
When we were moving to Indiana we shared an airport shuttle with Marg Helgenberger - she's gorgeous!
I think there's more, but my memory is horrible.

I’ve met the Biden’s (Joe, Dr Jill, Beau) on several occasions. My friend’s parents are personal friends of the Biden’s and they were in attendance at her wedding, Jill was at her baby shower and various parties her parents have hosted over the years.

He was already getting pretty hot back in 1997, too, lol- I guess that explains my odd reaction.
I had such a crush on him! Yes, I think it was somewhere during the mid to late 90s that he got hot.

You guys will be SOOOOO JEALOUS, but I've met Bobby Trendy, at the height of the Anna Nicole days.
That's pretty much the extent of it. I actually really dislike celebrity culture and I prefer to ignore them or act like I don't know them. I've met Tori Amos at meet & greets and she was super gracious and protective of my pregnant friend. I worked for a huge company with a lot of celebrity endorsements and the company would occasionally parade them around the office for signings and pictures and what not, but I never participated. Mostly baseball players because of our proximity to the ballparks, but the occasional singer.

Speaking of football players...just this afternoon, I went to meet with my PT who is also my friend. Her significant other is a personal trainer (and a friend of mine, too) so we went to the adjacent gym to say hello. He was working out with Dan Skipper, a Detroit Lion and the tallest player in the NFL at 6'10" (and also a friend of ours/mine). I thought of you guys when I got in the car!
Dan Skipper was an Arkansas Razorback! woo pig =)
