I think a functioning alcoholic is a very real thing. As someone that doesn't get hangovers, I could get pretty drunk every night and be fine at work the next day. I don't, because I'm just not a weekday drinker (or really weekends anymore, I've gone to boxed wine because I just wasn't finishing a bottle in a week anymore and it was going bad), but I could easily see it happening if I was the kind of person that liked people more and went out during the week lol

Now come the warm weather, I'm more inclined to have a glass of wine on the deck during the week, we just have a very social back yard situation so that's what happens. But, I'm very much I could take it or leave it, its not like I'm looking forward to it all day unless something crazy is going on.

I think its like cutting anything out, smoking, drinking, sugar, carbs, meat, your body will take some time to adjust. If that is what's going on, I hope this is a bit of a wake up call for her and she realizes how far its gone. Its a scary slope from a glass here and there to needing a few to get through the day. I hate to see anyone struggle with this

Also meant to mention, after listening to the prerecord with Nicole, it seemed like she thinks there is an issue. A few comments she made made it sound like she was actually concerned and proud of her non drinking for a few days. I can't think of a friend that I wouldn't laugh if they said that. Maybe 10 years ago, we're all in our 30s now and no one is drinking like that day to day.

EXACTLY!! She needs to gtfo with her unique brand of feminism...it’s not furthering our cause at all. And while we’re on this topic, I wouldn’t want her as my representative for LGBTQ issues either...

I always thought she was an alcoholic, this confirms it. If she's having withdrawl symptoms after only 3 days dry she drinks too much. She has always talked about drinking, it's an important part of her life. Most of her IG pictures involved drinking. She doesn't seem to enjoy social situations without drinking.
Good for her if she is really trying to stop or slow down the drinking. It literally killed my stepfather.

I hope she does stop drinking as much. I have a glass of wine maybe once a week, and the change has been huge for me. Especially as I get older. I don't like the way it makes me feel, and it was just extra sugar and cals that I do not need.

Word. I was pregnant both times clear through the summer and it was sucky- all the fun bbq parties surrounded by beer and being the only one to not have one, wah wah wah!! AND my morning sickness was so bad the whole time that after the alcohol fueled 4th the July party with friends we had at our house, I was the only one who threw up the next morning despite being the only one who didn't drink- NOT FAIR.

I only got to listen to the first hour of the Donny/Joey show this morning driving to work, but it was one of the most enjoyable hours of that show in a long time, in my opinion.

So weird that she has connections to soooo many doctors. Yet she has 100plus fever days in a row and craps the bed and no one forces her to go to the hospital. Me thinks the withdrawal theory is real and she’s also added stopping some prescription.

Maybe the family doctors prescribe her the meds and don’t want her to be seen my real professionals 🤔🤔

I just sat there with my mouth open this morning. She wants to keep all this stuff secret, so repeats the same stories over and over, but then discusses crapping the bed! What ever she has, I hope she's better soon, that sounds awful!

So my thoughts on that are starting to lean a little more towards her being in withdrawal from booze/Klonopine. If she was actually this sick with disease, there is no way TD would want her going out and being around the public, especially since she claims she has no idea what she has. If I were that sick, I would not be leaving my house, especially for something that wasn't necessary. If it is withdrawals, stick on a diaper and go laugh the night away!

So I wasn’t listening live and just now am but saw the polls before.... I will say without hearing the show it Made the poll seem so much more wack. They had a whole segment about missing things when you’re sick and Tay was asking for stories to make TD feel better. I thought based on FB it was just Tay saying hey guys I wanna go but can’t work let’s do a poll but that was a random last effort and even seemed half joking. It’s still nuts IMO to attend something like that when you’re sick, but FB is 🍌 once again.

I can't believe (well... I guess I can) Taylor is actually talking about going to a crowded theater while sick! That is so unbelievably rude, even for her. And if she is well enough to go out, she's well enough to go to work. I know she works for herself, but people pay for a M-F live show.

Oh, I agree! I really only listen at this point for the cohosts. I just don't want to hear about how she can't come to work but she can go to shows, be on the morning toast, etc.
